you will need the pump with a fixed pulley,
-
you will need undersize bearings if your crank is getting reground. the place thats regrinding it will tell you how much theyv took off and they should supply the correct bearings to suit.

how much power is it putting out? put a 4 branch manifold onit and a decent exhaust aswell
-
you can buy full engine gasket set, then buy all the seals seperate
-
yes, so that mean he'd be hittin fuel cut which i think is happening. i may be wrong though, its just the way it looks in the picture

the black pipes look like theyre just connected to the actuator, ie looped around. your actuator gets no boost feed to open it = unregulated boost. one pipe is ment to go to the compressor housing. the other goes up to the boost solenoid. check if theyre correct, they might be, it just looks asif in the pics

how much do a set of genuine piston rings cost from toyota?
-
cheers guys, so the general consensus is that my engines fucked. strange thing is is it starts and runs ok, i only checked it beacause it was, apparently, not as fast as someone elses. i did have doubts about a burnt inlet valve though, because when i ran it without any intake pipes i could hear some popping back through the throttle body. i know whats caused the engine to go so fucked though. the last owner told me that when he got it, it still had a japanese oil filter onit. the car came to the UK four years earlier. so 4 years on the same oil and filter does no good to any engine. Its alr

i put oil in the cylinders to see if it was bore wear or poor sealing valves were to blame for low compression. as you may know, when you put a little oil in the cylinder it seals the piston better, so if the compression is better with oil in the cylinder you have worn rings/bores, if the compression is unchanged it is valve sealing problems.

it was done luke warm. i put some oil down the two lowest ones and it brought the compression to 125 on all four . its a 1990 gt with silver timimg belt cover

yep, your heater matrix is leaking. the matrix is in the dashboard behind the heater controls. its a pretty big job to change it .
-
it is pretty large isnt it! whats the hairdrier test? it works great though. i took it for a blast down the road and checked pipe temperature afterwards. inlet was quite hot while outlet was nearly condensating it was so cold.

does anyone know what the compression pressure (psi) should be on a 4efte. i checked mine yesterday Results: 1= 125 psi 2= 97 3= 100 4= 125 do these seem ok

its actually an Allard upgrade for a Land Rover Discovery!!! the rest of the engines stock at the moment. the manifold has cracked and its still catted so might get some WEPR goodies on there soon.

sorry i dont understand what you mean by"two rear pins" ?
-
could some please explain to me the differences between the rear shockers on starlets. i now understand the sitiuation with the front ones but i am still unsure with the rear. what are the differences regarding early and late EP82 dampers? will ep91 rear dampers fit early EP82T (1991) top mounts?as i now have a 1991 glowing badge type gt starlet with shafted rear shocks. i have two used dampers off my ep91 SR, can i fit the shockers to the car or will i have to get the matching topmounts? i thought that all rear shockers were the same all the way through but bilstein list them differently.
