  1. thanks guys. ive tried to keep it with a clean standard look with the mudflaps helping with keeping the salt off. its currently reasonably stock just with Powertec air filter and Black diamond combo disks. ive got some bilstein shockers on the way for fitting this weekend plus two new tyres going on friday. The plan was to put in a 5e-fe motor but the guys who had the engine wont answer his phone any more.So what ive now got a local importer looking for a Glanza front cut for me.

  4. this is a question just out of curiosity really. when you guys fit a front mount intercooler to your ct-9 what do you use to connect to the turbo outlet, because it has a two bolt flange doesn it.do you turn the original upside down or do you get your welder out and get busy.
  5. the intercooler at the front seems to me to be a Arospeed front mount air filter rather than an intercooler because there seems to be a pipe on one side only.
  6. i am interested in buying a turbo conversion off www.braidedlines.com. The problem is that they come with a Microtech ecu. It looks like an excellent piece of kit but i cant seem to find anyone in the UK let alone North Wales that can map it. Have you any ideas? Cheers.
  7. i changed the lenses on mine and got the orange bulbs from toyota. i noticed the pins were in different locations but found if you lined up one pin and pushed hard enough the bulb would go in and work ok. The bulb holder is plastic therefore bends enough for this to happen without damaging anything.
  8. what cc's are 4e-fe injectors. has any one put 4e-fte injectors on their N/A starlet. as faras i know turbo injectors are 295cc. would they put too much fuel in on a starlet with a G6 manifold and stock exhaust. also who is best at making full big bore decat systems for an EP91 (n/a). cheers
  9. im talking about the 'bug eyed' corrollas (85BHP). the previous type corrolla (95-97) used the exact same engine and electronics as the starlet(74BHP). the earlier version (93-95 same shell though) used a different ecu and inlet manifold which produced 88 BHP. im a toyota mechanic so im pretty sure i know what im talking about.
  10. the 97-99 year 4e-fe corrollas produce 85 bhp with aid of the tubular inlet manifold and coil pack ignition, theres a coil for each cylinder, which means the timing can be controlled more accurately.
  11. what do you mean with the fan? was it a fault with yours or will i get the same problem as well? cant i just swap the temp switch or something? does the fan work through the ecu which, combined with a different temp sensor, would think it was running hotter than it was. (did you understand that last bit?) cheers

  13. is there any thing important i need to take into account when im putting the 5e-fe into my SR.I have the ecu by the way. What exhaust maifold do i use Paseo or Starlet. it should be a little quicker then shouldn it.
  14. you will find that your gonna have to get it recoded to your existing immobiliser or otherwise it wont start.i tried it with mine but all it did was make two of the keys stop working on any ecu. A toyota dealer might be willing to recoding it though.
  15. if it only makes the noise when its cold i wouldnt worry about it.
