I am/was but i was refering to a ct9 at that pressure. I wanted that noise after i watched some Jap touge video of cat and mouse. The noise on those were epic!
-
I remember when i had mine on like 1.1 bar and let go on high revs it used to make a loud high pitched pigeon noise so i know what sound your talking about.
-
Them rally cars are probably running high pressure on those turbos. You would get a high pitched on a ct9 at 1 bar or so as thats near its peak but wont so on a td04. I guess :$

I can turn the engine over by hand, i didnt it a couple of weeks ago just before i dropped the engine in. Yes when ive tried to crank it, the leads/plugs are not in. Im not sure how to check the starter voltage. Ive relocated the battery to the rear and have used the chassis as the ground (3 or 4 points on the chassis), how do i check if the points are not good enough? Ive changed the battery, so tomorrow i will have to check the started but ive plugged in both sensors and the wire which is clamped down by the nut. Doing my head in Cheers

Heres the story. Finally got round to dropping the engine into the car after a year off road. Swapped all the ancillaries over and connected everything up from the wiring loom. Filled the car with oil and disconnected the fuel in the cabin and removed the king lead so i can prime the engine. Charged up the battery for like 3 days and went to turn the key yesterday, didnt work and it made a tapping noise (like when a battery is dead) so i figured the battery is a goner as it was sitting for nearly a year also. After a few cranks the gauges etc when dim which also indicated the battery had lost life already. I picked up a halfords battery which was removed from a working engine (i started the car up a few time and it started fine so it had power). I swapped the battery over and the gauges etc lit up bright so again it seemed fine. Now i go to crank the ignition (turn it on) and nothing happens?! It just clicks. It doesnt turnover. Why does this happened? Ive checked the wired that go into the started motor (there is two) i dont see any loose plugs on the loom that i have missed. Is the starter motor not getting a current to kick the flywheel? Its not suppose to start as i have disabled the fuel and spark but it is still suppose to try to by cranking. Or have i missed something? All components were working before the car went off road. Cheers

So do as i said, efi out, king out and crank the engine over while looking at the pressure? If the oil does not go around the engine like it suppose to, i wont have pressure right? Cheers guys
-
Ok, so i have a freshly rebuilt engine in the GT now and all hooked up, i am in the process of wiring up the oil pressure gauge on the dash and a few odd things. Hopefully by the weekend i can get the engine started BUT wanted to know if there are any procedure that need to on a new engine rather than getting the fluids in and just starting? What about engine priming? Efi fuse out, king lead out and crank it to get the oil going round. Is that right? How long for? I need to bleed the clutch (as i changed the braided line) so how so i go about that? I know its the nipple on the clutch slave cylinder but do i pump the clutch pedal just like you do with the brakes? Any thing else i need to do? Cheers

^ Find the injector number and match it to witchhunter Usually there is a notch on the outside of the injector injector, if it is off center then it is HIgh but if it is center then it is low. A google search

They will note a 'Failure to stop' on your license plate so you will be getting pulled over quite often untill they clear it. All they will do (once they stop you again) is check you insurance, tax etc. and away you go. I know this as it happened to me. It was New years and i had just finished work so jumped in the GT and accelerated hard through 1 & 2, round a bend and there like 10 coppers down there for some reason who all jumped IN the street to flag me down. I thought 'F*ck that' so i avoided them and done one. For the next week while i was going to and from Uni i got pulled over like 4 - 5 times due to my plate, they did a routine and i was off.

Oil will come out but again not LOADS. So if your on your drive, get some rag underneath. My mom has kicked my ass about it before LUL

^ Best thing you can do is just ignore his replies, pretend he is not in the thread! If i were you and didnt want to waste another day, i would tried and get a bigger allen key and jam it in and use that ( like how if you rounded a bolt head, some would get a smaller one and hammer it over to fit) OR Just get a Hi speed drill, titanium tipped drill piece (for metal, not wood or anything) and drill the bastard out. You will be putting new headbolts in so you dont have to worry about them
