starlet replacement, vw golf gti mk1!
mart1 replied to Starletsr98's topic in Other Motors Progress Blogs
Good choice and yes keep it original, mint one's can fetch up to £5000 to £8000, I use to have one and not slow at all, brakes are shit on them though. -
The ARC was mine on eBay sold it at a loss as well paid £180 and only got £150 back for it, never got around to fitting it and when I sold it the buyer was not to happy with the condition it was in and although it did the job it apparently didn't bolt down so he had a bit of a moan about it but still kept it in the end.

Thanks, very retro, loving the bath Matt's too haha

Cheers, I paid £4500 for this which is very good considering the very low mileage and condition it's in, I don't think there will be another with this mileage to be found, it's alot of car for the money :-) but like starlets they vary in price, there was one on here for sale last year going for £3300 some mods on it, the mileage was 88000 miles, they are super rare car over here nice to be in something different and the car gets lots of looks.

You should soon sell it now mate
-
Cheers:-) taking a bit of getting use to and only be using it on nice summer days, my first priority is to get it wax oiled but yeah it's a nice rare car which is what I like.

Well with me recently selling my glanza v I thought it was time to move on from them with me having 2 glanza v's i quite fancied a starlet GT for next summer, anyway I was having a nosey around like you do and this turned up, Toyota caldina gt-t st215 4wd semi auto, it has The 4th generation 3S-GTE engine 260bhp, basically all the running gear as the celica gt4, the car is not far from new with only 28000km which is 17398 miles.

I did fancy a GT as i mentioned then this car popped up for sale, Toyota caldina GT-T It's a beast of a car with it being 4wd and 260bhp, there super rare car here. I will be putting a tread up soon about it.

Cool, I was considering getting the a/c system removed and do 1 or 2 little mods to it but in the end I just thought it was time to move on from glanza v's I have had two of them, both automatic. Anyway hope you find a good manual gearbox for it:-) as for Xmas I'm in the same boat mate I have now bought something else interesting, wasn't going to bother till next summer but couldn't resist buying a new car but been told I'm not aloud to spend anymore on cars till after Xmas:-(

Hi how you getting on with my old v? Hope it's being good to you:-) With you saying you was going to do a manual conversion at some point, I messaged a lad on here that you might have a auto gearbox for sale soon? As his 280 bhp glanza v auto that he has only had for 5 days has packed up, gearbox bust. And your right about that auto selector, horrid looking thing on them.

Can any car turn up?:-)

forged automatic glanza wont rev or drive please help ????
mart1 replied to tayjuniour2015's topic in Forged Series
It all depends on how you drive it if you was to give it hell everyday then it's not going to last long, I reckon 220 max on an auto, good auto gearbox oil should be nice dark red. -

If your lucky glanza auto box I have seen on eBay recently as cheap as £150 but it's always the case when you need something fast things never come up or the price is to much, as for a na 3 speed auto I'm not sure if that will do the job for now, When tunning Developments forged the engine it was mentioned by them that it was to much for the gearbox.
