  1. My caldina is £100 cheaper to insure than the glanza v was.
  2. Nice ride and a bargain for £200, what I love about cars like this is other cars shift out of the way when you need to push through traffic, you be getting an 850 R next haha
  3. Good family car really comfortable car, my Mrs likes it more than her mini countryman cooper s, however i don't use the caldina much, done 300 miles in since i bought it in September, don't like getting it wet and dirty haha especially now there is salt all over the roads, they chuck heap loads around here in Derbyshire, looking forward to the summer. Nice looking starlet:)
  4. Hi, yes i know who you are, I'm the guy that has the caldina with the awesome gt4 alloy wheels on it.
  5. Wouldn't do it to a glanza, n/a yes
  6. Not many Mk1s look good as this no more and most are rotten unless you import a fresh one in and still not going to be as good as this with having them nice modds on. Your best bet is see what they go for on classic cars website and if you're in no rush to sell ask top price for it and see how you go on.
  7. If they are new parts then cool that's a good deal but if they are second hand they might of been on the car in the first place and the garage got hold of standard exhaust to put on and springs, I would ask are they all new parts they are offering to fit. You still got it at a good price though for a trader:)
  8. nice motor, HKS new or second hand, springs new.
  9. I have been stung myself pal, that's why I tend to buy auto v, very few people mod them and if they do it's a manual conversion first with them but if I was after looking for a manual I would look into importing one.
  10. You have got to be careful looking at a standard glanza v as much as a modified one, some people have cotton on to putting modified starlets back to standard form, that way you have more chance of selling a very nice unmolested glanza v, plus the bonus of selling all them modified parts. Import is the way to go grade 4 £4000 to £5000
  11. And look at that steering wheel that's on it its worn out to fuck, definitely has seen more than 85,000 miles that has.
  12. 85,000 miles is very low mileage nowadays for one of these, you be lucky to find a genuine low mileage glanza v but yeah that starlet looks ropey, it looks like it's a bit of a mixup of a starlet chucked together and selling it as a glanza v
  13. Very nice, Sr stickers will finish this off nicely:-) my daughter is 19 and she has been driving for 2 years now and I bought her a ford ka to bash up for her first car as this is what she wanted at the time, I did try and persuade her to have a starlet but she was having none of it lol she didn't like them but she liked my glanza v and said if she was to have a starlet it must look like the glanza so I said give over and that was that but after 12 months driving she has gone all posh and she had to have a 15 plate fiat 500s, kids today a. I'm pretty local to you I often go to didsbury cinem
  14. I have a black cat that my daughter decided to rescue, it was a little kitten stuck out in the cold frost for day's, so I said go on then we will give it a home for a couple of days lol 8 years later we still have it haha. And your right get a cat it then keeps other cats out and they never shit in there own garden. One little problem I have though she likes sitting on my car bonnet. Never the Mrs car bonnet.
  15. Here is another caldina GT, this is where I got the idea from with the alloys.
  16. There is 1 or 2 things on eBay like a cat scarer for your garden.
  17. just keep cruising & enjoy it:-) there's always going to be someone that my cars faster than yours, you have got a nice little classic there:-)
  18. No sorry lol, sitting in a new Mica' blue mk1 mr2 and a supra mk3 in a showroom did it for me.
  19. when I was a kid back in the 80s my dad worked for a Toyota dealers and was a mechanic foreman so I was able to get Toyota posters could help myself and got to sit in some cars in the show room, my favourite posters was the pickup truck pics with TRD on the side of them, anyway wish I kept them:-(
  20. thanks:-) it does stand out it gets plenty of looks, it's surprising what a couple of changers do to transform a car.
  21. That body kit would just get in the way, and them wheels are OK apart from they look to big, 16s look best probs is its hard to find a nice set of 16s for the caldina that look right.
  22. These are semi automatic and no difference in performance, love it and would never go back to manual car.
  23. Welcome, you can get parts for it to fit no problem like bumpers & bonnet, but I wouldn't waste to much money on it, just get a nice set of alloys and lower it will do the job.
