sounds like mine when my rings went id say it is mate . compresion test it may not show up but might do its worth a try but id say personaly its 99% certain its rings or a piston

My mates got a chipped nurburg vxr running 302bhp. Ive borrowed it a couple times when shes been away on holiday an stuff for a week or two. I can honestly say, Id have my glanza. The astra sounds mint! that exhaust oh my it really does make it sound so good, thats where the dream ends. lol id pick the glanza every time mate honestly

Went to engine tuner alan jefferys today nice bloke. delt with martin jefferys he likes his starlets top bloke was really nice. Well anyway banged car on rollers fueling was bang on he said and the smile that grew on his face as he rolling roaded it grew and grew so i thought this must be a good sign. So he gets out the car and gives me his summery which was that He thinks the turbo isnt a standard one might be hybrid as it produces power all the way through till 6700 rpm.. Im unsure im 99% sure its standard ct9 Recons his old one didnt perform as well and that he could clear up in it in

thats what mine is in my glanza 5th gear 60mph and its reving at 3k ..... wheres the advantage of a 6speed box?? jus seems like more gear changes but for no purpose.

Errm well call it 190bhp then bradd right your result. id be right in saying the other night there was nothing between us. So for arguements sake ill say mines running 190bhp also then im unsure exactly as needs rollin roadin. My set up is still stock ct9 on 1bar of boost with usual crap exhaust manifold decat fuel pres reg etc so yeah somthings not quite right there mate i dont think

Went out in brad ep82 tonight with this turbo set up. Only running at 0.74 bar maximum and i was well impressed!!!! I shall be definatly getting this turbo set up. Id go as far as to say its better than going td04 spools quick as a ct9 nearly and pulls like hell and thats only at .74 so i can only imagine 1.1 bar etc

i run no dump valve for ages now no problems. people argue it fucks ya turbo but its bollox and never been prooved

yeah thats fair enuf and although it may seem unfair im afraid in my own eyes anyway i think the guy deserves a hard time. I cannot stand theifs. if he was having trouble etc he should have jus came out and said and stoped taking orders etc. I know sometimes its easier to hide your head in the sand or even thing you might be able to claw things back but things became a joke long before he stoped taking money from people etc. not so long ago there was a new member on tgtt that had bought somthing and was askin on the forum if anyone knew anything.

in short yes i did buy stuff from him in the past. Luckily i never got ripped off but then i only ever bought one or two things from him ages ago now and then always went to dave b i always found them slow to reply and often found dave burwash cheaper on nearly everything i enquired about in the past. And no im not jumping on a bandwagon, regardless of how he was before things went tits up in my eyes hes a theif he stole loads of peoples money and no1 has the right to do that.

dont give up mate compresion test sniffer test etc before u decide anything
