Ok. Comparing pics on google I do have the 98spec. So I've now sourced a 98 spec engine light loom (does come with interior loom but I'm not going to bother fitting that. Cheers for info guys LukEP you have a build thread?

cheers pal. That was my plan tbh bud, I'd rather have a go at trying to get it to work with the standard interior loom before pulling it out to fit a turbo one. Keep up the good work bud, this thread is exciting. U looking at getting it on the rollers when the emanage is on?

Accelerating up a hill bud, not fast. High milage nearly 140k and just turbo'd it so wasn't expecting it to last long. I'll have a good over the weekend, working long hours arm so not had chance Got an 89k 4efe sat here with new belts so I'll Chuck that in for now and get to work on my fte. Big plans

Hi all. Looks Asif my Sr 4efe has given up. I'm after glanza loom (pref 98spec), clocks, dash loom and ecu. Any other parts you think I may need just hit me up Have fte engine and already have turbo, inlet, exhaust etc

So... Sad to say the engine gave up thismorning, not sure what the problem is as yet as was on the way to work and had to leave it. Sounds like it's lost compression as when turn key there's no note from the exhaust so possibly can belt?!? I'll find out later and update

Hi all. In the next few weeks I'll begin to put the 4efte into my Sr. I have read on a few threads that it would be easier using the correct loom due to pin outs. Would it be the 98 spec loom i need? Thanks

I know bud. I just really don't like the idea of the high compression with a turbo. It sounds epic but when I'm driving it I constantly feel like I'm driving a ticking time bomb (could be the fact that I've built it). Fuel wise it's only doing 20miles less to a tank but really could do without the worry lol

Yeah forgot that bit, glanza sump and running a feed from the oil pressure switch ( used a T piece) as for water cooling I haven't bothered. Know a few lads that have run without for years as dailys so not too bothered. managed to get a few picks thismorning of what I have done. As it stands it's just function over looks with regards to the engine bay, this will soon change but at the moment want to get it running 100% before I start tarting her up. Yes it's stealthy, painted it black and cut away some of the back of the bumper so it's barely noticeable. Also have a triple core half rad. I was looking to take the bump strips off my red one but they are only on one side. I will get some on it though as think they look better with them on Big update and pics tomorrow!!!

Cheers I'm made up. Got to the bottom of the stuttering, it was over boosting, was running .6 bar so knocked that down to .4 by blanking the pipe on the actuator and running loads better. Will look at getting a decent boost controller! Tomorrow I'll be installing my afr, boost gauge and turbo timer so will get some decent pics up. So far buying the SR and turbo'ing it has cost me the grand total of £460 so I really can't grumble. Eventually I'll get it mapped, the det3 allready had a base map on it so I'll run that for now untill I start adding more bits 🙈 Next plans are to strip

Hi all. Little update It's alive!!!!! Running well just a little bit of tweaking to do as when towards top end of boost it stutters a little Asif it's under feeling or timing may need adjusting or possibly even need fuel pressure regulator from the fte?? I'll get to the bottom of it over the weekend when I get daylight and not in work. Really pleased with it, having to cut the back of the bumper to fit the huge front mount was painful but will be worth it when running sweet.
