  1. Dumb question since you said a direct fit but just wanting to check do the corsa discs clear the hub then? I bought astra 1.6 discs that are 256mm but they don't fit over the hub. I'm gonna take them to an engineering firm to get the centres machined out a bit but if I get this set up running then in the future when I need to change discs it would be good to know. Also I don't suppose you can tell me where to buy a ring to make up for the difference in centre bore sizes can you? I've bought regular alloy wheel springot rings but they're designed for wheels so the shape isn't right.
  2. Damn, I expected with the money they fetch it would be real carbon fibre. Stick a TRD sticker on anything and it suddenly costs 10 times as much.
  3. On the lathe thankfully, to be fair we went a extra mm just to make sure it would clear the hub so we took too much off of it but don't want to think about what might have happened if it was fitted to the car. For reference the left one is the uncut one and the right one we put on the lathe.
  4. Guy on FB is selling a set the now, not in the best condition so depends how desperate you are. It's on the Uk Gt/Glanza owners page.
  5. Hey again, I bought 245mm astra discs because I didn't want to go to the trouble of sourcing celica carriers so I decided to stick with the levin ones and use smaller discs. Well those discs wouldn't fit onto the hub so I got the inner part machined to clear the hub and this happened. So I've bought MR2 discs, fit great so just need to source spacers now. Don't suppose anyone happens to know where to get ones that will work?
  6. Yes mate, that would be ideal as I'm sick of buying the wrong parts for it lol.
  7. Hey, I've bought 2 interior lights for my glanza to replace my missing one but they are both too small. Looks like I need a larger version, can anyone tell me what kind of light I need? I thought I might have purchased one off a starlet so I bought a 2nd and it's identical. So not sure what light I need for my glanza, mine is a sunroof model.
  8. Ah shit that's gutting, sorry dude. Seems to be damn near impossible to get some parts for starlet/glanzas these days.

  10. Decided to try something with the rear lights to stop moisture getting in so I bought a sheet of rubber and cut it to shape and used weather proof sealant to attach it to the body. I've only done one side as I'm going to see if it makes any difference before doing it on the other side. Really wasn't impressed by the way the sideskirts are attached under the body on these glanzas, using a bolt and rubber grommet so decided to use rivnuts instead. I also bought silver hammerite to cover the black. Not too fussed the now as it's hopefully gonna
  11. Quick question, I never noticed that the front shocks are offset when I removed them and now I don't know which way they go round. Can anyone help? Option A Option B Had a quick look at engine bays and I think it's the 2nd one with top mount facing the rear of the car but hoping someone might be able to confirm?
  12. Not much done today, I fillered and sanded the door step to make it smoother and fitted my slightly better condition headlights.
  13. http://biggred.co.uk/ These might stock em?
  14. Yeah a ford sill, not a bad fit really and the left over bit I used to fix the door step. Good thing about cutting out the whole sill was I could treat the metal underneath.
  15. There's deffo been a repair done to the right side of the glanza sometime in the past as there was a shit load of filler in it and it's rusted along the repair. There's rust in the boot so at some point in the future I'll need to decide whether to buy a decent shell or strip this one down and fix it properly. But for now it will do, atleast it's solid. Doesn't look the prettiest but the sideskirt will cover it up.
  16. Started the one job I've been putting off doing today, replacing the sill. I've still got a lot of welding to do and there's a section just under the door I need to cut out and replace but I think it should look good when it's done. I'm not the best welder in the world so it's slow progress. Cut the replacement sill to shape Cut out old sill New sill in place
  17. Yeah so glad I managed to get a set, so much nicer then the original seats. Hoping I find them more comfy as well. This one on ebay, working well so far.
  18. So much nicer then the 96 spec seats that were in it.
  19. Hey I need to remove the sill (step?) cover to fix some rust issues I'm having with my glanza. Just wondering if I just need to heat the plate and slowly lift up? Don't want to damage it when I'm removing it.
  20. Cheers mate, yeah I love it to bits. My fav part is the gearknob as I made it myself and used a KAD quickshift designed for a moke to get it nice and high. I've got too many cars and they all have issues, it's a major pain in the ass lol. Just want glanza done so I can replace an engine on another project I've got.
  21. Aye I do bud, not updated in an age tho as not done much to the mini. http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/325205-my-new-mini-british-open-classic-ongoing-road-project/
  22. Yeah I love my mini, recently fitted a supercharger to it but it doesn't feel as quick as I think it should be so trying to get to the bottom of that but still awesome to jump in and drive. I decided to fix the rear looms that came with the car instead of using the uncut looms I bought because I didn't want to start hacking the untouched loom up. Much better then how the looms were. Headlights on Foglight on
  23. Fb mate, I'm on like 3 different glanza groups and check them pretty often. Only slightly annoying thing is a set came up that looked in nicer condition and if I hadn't already pestered that guy about those ones I would have jumped on them. Oh well these are in pretty good condition, the recaro lettering is missing on passenger seat and a very small hole is on it as well but you need to look for it to see it so all in all I'm happy. One of my fog lights is in pretty bad shape, not sure if I'll be able to fix it or I'm better off looking for another one. Don't have the money the now
  24. Finally got my hands on the last big thing I wanted for the glanza, a set of front and rear recaros for it. They're in pretty good condition so pretty happy with them, the threads on the bolts that hold them in place are pretty naff so gonna get replacements and probably bin the red carpet so haven't bothered to bolt them down and I can't fit the rears as it's full of parts at the moment.
  25. Well you might get there before me with the rate I'm getting on with stuff. Only managed to do some bits today to the glanza, found some good bits and bad bits. Like the looms for the rear lights weren't hacked up like I thought, I didn't realize the plugs for them were behind the boot panels lol so that was good but the rust under the boot seal is really bad so I've treated it with rust treatment now and I'll need to wire brush it and paint it to protect it. Sprayed my wishbones and driveshafts in that blue, mostly to see how it looks as I don't expect them to hol
