  1. cheers, yeh i think il leave it on then. it just looks awfull! nice pipe
  2. cheers! as for the headunit, il be swapping it for my kenwood out of the colt. similar spec,i just prefer the kenwood. am i right in saying the front speakers are in the dash? also, what size are they? my cables have been chewed by the previous owners dog. . . great! so the speakers dont work atm.
  3. to be honest i could do with it being on a later date.. . as im relying on my current car to sell so i can get the starbo on the road. but il work around what the majority of people do
  4. Love the car! Just a quick question, on the previous page you have a picture of the door open and its stripped. Ive stripped mine but havent taken the water shield(shitty plastic sheet)off, just wondering if youve had any water coming in when raining etc? i had a mini which didnt have any sheeting, and before i knew it, the footwell was soooooaaaking.
  5. oh thats good then, i want to save loads of weight on this project so thats kind of a good thing. Im thinking either GT3's or Grids. grids would be in bronze, but im not sure about the gt3's. as the wheels i put on this will have to look good on my next car. . . . a GT. Edit:after reading the rota:yay or nay? thread...i do not wish to spend my money on shit! although they make nice looking wheels, i dont want to hit a pot hole and my wheel fall off. So,any suggestions for some jdmz wheels of similar styling? thanks. mitch
  6. So, on with the rear suspension. after a good blast with the pressure washer, the arch was clean. awkward nut, couldnt get s socket on there,so resulted in using a ring spanner and a 2lb lump hammer.... it worked whats missing? greased up and fitted just after fitting the right side....oh and i fitted some ladders too. and finaly.. I do think i need the adjustable rod as the axle seems to have shifted to the left by approx 1 cm, although it may be me seeing things but im convinced. also when cornering, the rear right seemed to dip more than the left. felt a lil wei
  7. Thats one of the main questions i have, how do i adjust the valve clearances? I havent taken them off ...yet. But may be worth giving them a good inspection as when i took the cam cover off to paint etc the two cams that were damaged, just happened to be facing upward. So it makes me wonder what state the other lobes are in. And when i inspect il get some decent photo's up for your expert opinions
  8. why not thats all im thinking, i just want to prolong the life of the engine to be honest. the chunks are missing actually on the highest lifting point of the lobe. it would be good if i could get pictures, but the covers back on now. there not a MUST but i can just imagine them getting worse knowing my luck.
  9. cheers as soon as they arrive,on goes the mani n zaust.
  10. is that the worst of the damage? cause they certainly look better than mine.It wont be this week, but perhaps next week,i get payed.
  11. thanks rob, i shall do it also, knwo where i can get inlet/zaust gaskets?
  12. i would really like some without any chips, i dont think mine are tooooo bad. But if its possible to get a macro picture of the chips on yours?? il soon be able to tell you whether there worse than mine,But that sounds like a good price.
  13. i could lower it i just dont want to be out of line il just do it and try take some sort of measurement to see if its out of line at all.
  14. oh cool, good condition? how much you looking for?
  15. The zetec S is my mates, and thats him in the picture. just fitting rear poly bushes. are sure i wont NEED one? i think its going to drop approx 35mm? The bonnets ok,loads of hairs came out the roller and stuck to it, ive yet to go round with some fine grit to sand out the marks as ive pulled the hairs out.
  16. So, some more pics i know youve all been waiting for.. . ;) (note:camera was on 2mp setting for some of photos) so far badge bonnet raised around 8-10mm new shocks, note the gators a fecked... solved and up we go! | i found that in the wheel arch^^ tadaaa! night pic with the zs. bop! need an adjustable panhard rod so i can fit the rear suspension some pics are crap. .. . its the camera,l not me wheels to come, and bodywork still to be done. all comments welcome!
  17. thanks for all the replys, certainly helped me. StarletRick? got those cams buddy? (pics up in a mo for my project thread)
  18. cheers, but im going to get some sort of rota's in at the end of december. think im going to paint my steels lime green for now ;)
  19. Im not sure to be honest, over time there going to wear and i think that the heat doesnt help in the long term anyway. becoming brittle? god knows. they werent very large chips. i was just concerned as ive never seen anything like it. but thats re-assuring that rich's are still ok. perhaps this could be a popular problem with the 4efe?
  20. Billet, they must be expensive? i think il leave it and see how much Rick wants for his. thanks sicaln
  21. cheers! are there any aftermarket cams available for the 4efe? How much are you looking for yours rick
  22. potentially stretch the bolt? How much for the cams rick?
  23. so is it not possible to find the settings for the car? i guess i could get the corrolla manual and apply its torque settings to the starbo(not just for the engine). Id hate to over/under tighten somthing.
