notching on block markings on bolts shows it was built to a high standard painted blue, mucxh to my surprise (was gonna paint it black, but i now rather like the blue lol ) scribble on pistons (makes sense to an engineer, but bugger all to me) the engineers sums, for the compression ratio

them jap ecu's arent always the best, yes there just plug and play, but you HAVE to use 99 ron fuel with them, and generally speaking they tend to run rich, there maps are generic also and arent suited to your particular car. people say they are self learning they are NOT. they are mapped to see certain target figures from the sensors, and trim themselves to see this target figure. there not really all that great to be fair. you get a better tune with a piggy back ecu, and if you ever decide to go for more mods later on it's just a simple remap. you should expect to pay around £6-7

CAL- early vauxhall 2.0 16valve were red top (i think pre 96 or something, not 100% on year) which did have red engine covers, they then changed the red top to ecotec and detuned it slightly. vauxhall engines are really good, very reliable used the world over in motorsport and are popular engine conversions. those guys in the vid are idiots as comparing a 2.0 ltr turbo to a 1.3 turbo is hardly fair lol i like nova's with the turbo engines put in them and tuned correctly ( i.e handling brakes etc etc ) there just something really fun about small car big power. i'm not carist i appreciate al

finished car today, so it's all up and running. a few little bits and pieces to do and sort out, but the main thing is its working woo hoo a few more pics to celebrate lol

it is a very good kit if i'm honest, the boost kicks in real hard and i acheive full boost by 3500rpm, it also hasnt been tuned yet and the boost controller is off, so i'm hoping for a spool of at least 3k full boost when it's all tuned with a bit of luck. the wastegate might look different because i have had it welded back into the downpipe, as i not a fan of screamer pipes. also if people are wanting to know, the attain hi throttle, makes absolutely no difference to throttle response, so imo is a waste of money unless you want a blue anodised throttle linkage

no not yet. i not sure if it will make much difference, but it was shiny and blue, and rare so thought i would buy it lol. i have only got as far as putting the engine in at the moment, just waiting for another couple of bits then it will be finished, if mines on the road before yours, i let you know how i get on lol

cheers mike, engine went in over the weekend, just gotta sort a few bit's and peices, and i just waiting for the turbo kit to come. i need to get the car back on the road within the next 2 weeks so fingers crossed.

i split with my gf 6 weeks ago, found it hard at first for the first 2 weeks. we split ammicably, but the hard part was getting used to no one being there, and not talking etc etc. i now hate the bitch (after finding a few things ou) which makes things so much easier, just spent time trying to sort me car, and going out with me mates and it's brilliant, and now i may even have a new girl soon pending how things go. chin up mate, i know it hurts, but your only young it's hardly last chance saloon yet.

started putting all the brackets back on the engine today. freshly painted timing belt cover fitting flywheel fitted clutch fitted greddy oil filter relocation kit ATTAIN Power throttle cable link painted brackets fitted one race harness got rocker cover back, and gearbox back this week.
