  1. lol it only floods for an hour at around those times. why they dont build a bridge i dont know
  2. bit of an update from during the week. i seem to have deleted a load of pics though which is rather annoying. any way, i done the valve collets, and rebuilt the. i needed to check the valve clearances now that i have reground the valves. red pot is jizer so i could clean each part before it went back in the head, the orange pot is oil. i have never seen oil so clear, i thought i would buy some shell helix fully synthetic and i cant beleive the difference between valvoline and shell. any way after buggering up the fitment of the head the first time, my fault for being tired and not con
  3. thanks simon, the colour is one of them accidental mistakes, it definately says matte black on the tin, but is more battle ship grey lol
  4. decided to fit braided brake lines today, i thought it was about time seeing as i have had them for just over a year now, and the power of the car has upped lol was a bad idea, the brake pipe union rounded off, and for love nor money would it budge, so i went out and bought a brake flaring tool, got home and realised that the flaring tool couldnt do steel pipe, which the starlet has, bugger. so i perservered and got the union undone, yay, then i went to move it and the the brake line split but after hours of making the flaring tool work on steel pipe (perseverence is key) i finally
  5. i only bought mine because i see one in autrader when deciding which car i wanted to buy next because my mk2 fiesta was dead from rust. so i was originally looking at a starlet sr, but saw a gt turbo, and decided thats what i wanted, mainly due to the fact at the time insurance was cheap, and it was still a 1.3, i swore to myself and my dad that i wouldnt mod it. any way 2 years later and 2 gt's (first got written off by a man in a van) and i now have a 200 bhp gt lol. i have had a lot of problems but no more than most who modify there cars, and have realised that when people sell direct b
  6. i think all you guys have been bang out of order. ok it's a corsa and its not quite my cup of tea, and i would have gone for smoked lights instead of lexus lights, but it's by far not the worst corsa i have seen. and it really dont look that bad, it has a back box lower springs and lexus lights, looks quite a tidy motor to me. it's screaming out for a 2.0 16v
  7. hey dude how much for a headgasket set for an ep82 gt turbo 1993
  8. a cracked wastegate will cause less boost, so will a sloppy actuator. stick to the advice given by jaystar. you are probably hitting fuel cut if you have a cat back exhaust and air filter, mine used to hit fuel cut with just these mods. if you have a decat that will also cause fuel cut. if you get an fcd/fcc, then i would recomend getting the fuelling checked. you will also need to stop the boost from creeping most people do this by porting the wastegate, but that involves taking the turbo off etc etc. best thing to do is make a restriction, normally putting the standard air box on stops
  9. that looks a worthy successor i would love your V, if only i didnt have the gt
  10. his problem is he asks, but dont flipping listen. cal- you have to realise that at somepoint you cant do everything for nothing, we try and help you but for some reason, maybe it's because your young but you dont fecking listen. nobody wants to see you blow up your engine dude.
  11. wont be long till your back here. cal just do things properly you retard. even if you change turbo setups, you will still have to get engine management, so i not quite sure what your point is
  12. as the others have said. you dont need to fork out loads on top of the range engine management. (although it would be better) i bought a cheap safc, and s-itc off ebay, cost me £100, got the car tuned and its good enough that it wont blow my engine. there are much better systems out there by a long shot, but for cheapness it's pretty good, and will stop you detting
  13. i know your pain dude, it's a right kick in the c**t cost me £250 last time to sort the splitter out.
  14. thats a right shitter to hear, really feel sorry for him. the bird who hit him looks fit though. is lucky it could have been a whole lot worse
  15. the jam ones are adjustable, but it's recomended not to adjust it. maybe yours has broken, it's a possibility. the jam fcc is a clamp type fcd, so it clamps the voltage at just below fuel cut, if it was working befor it would work now, as it would still be clamping the voltage the same. also the map sensor can only see +- 1 bar, so anything over this and it wont know it, so it's highly unlikely that it's anything to do with your actuator.
  16. that is one awsome s2000 though
  17. that would be sooooo super cool imo nice lil project you got yourself going there aswell
