  1. its completly standard apart from ngk spark plugs and magnecore HT leads the engine light come on as well for couple of seconds, i dont have a clue how much boost i am runing i dont kno what to do
  2. is this right as well or does the boost gauge need adjusting when i start the car it goes to 500 its an apexi boost gauge
  3. it only goes to 1 bar then judders and wont go any more, fuel cut people ave said? think getting a hks acuator would solve the problem?
  4. right after fitting my new turbo took it for a drive and everything was fine, got on the motor way and decided to put it on high boost and it went to 3000 revs and then juddered didint want to go any futher what the hell could be the problem now? still learning about turbos
  5. yep eveything is conected back properly and the bolts are as tight as they can go, ive had it runing for about 5 mins then turned it off scared if its doing any damage

  8. yep fitted new gasketsfrom toyota, used wd40 to get bolts of when taking the turbo out etc, thats what i thought at first itll be the oil and that burning to cause that smoke checking again tommorow that all the bolts are really tight really gutted havent had my car for 2weeks its killing me
  9. well had to fit my new turbo as my old one popped, today finished fitting the new turbo checked if everything was back together and pluged in etc and fired her up every thing was perfect the exhaust wasnt smoking like a steam train. couple mins later looked in the engine bay and tiny bit of smoke coming out of the manifold/turbo bit i belive, gutted! i think the gasket is the problem letting the gases escap. hmmmmmm well i am hoping thats the problem. whats yas think?
  10. my turbo popped so me and my mate are fitting my new 1 thanks very much from (madman) for the turbo the toooooooools cheers dan engine bay feeling sorry for her self turbo ct9b A MUST NEED lots more work to be done, just needing the time my little run about for now, kindness of my father..... turbo boost gauge fitted as well

  14. im still stuck on what i would need IF i decided to get a hybird turbo etc would be costly i imagine exhaust manifold what else?

  16. well i might have 1 its a ct9B thats good then its just a straight swap. as for the new 1, yee u were right 900 i rang up toyota and asked, no way would pay that thow ill have to see what garage says aswell about it been the turbo or the head, its really hurting my head lol becouse heard lots of different things about this case. when i did a oil change as well the oil looked browny/blacky so was no sign of water in there as it wasnt a whitey colour.
  17. seems to be no second hand turbos, were can i buy a brand new turbo from ct9
  18. cheers for the help guys staying with the stock turbo is what i am doing for now but defently in the future will be getting a biiger turbo:) another thing you kno the glanza turbo stock b i wouldnt have to change anyhting else would i? just be a straight swap with the other turbo (ct9 A)

  20. yee think ill just go with the stock ct9 becouse dont wanna splash to much money out. another thing what does it mean turbo A or turbo B what 1 do i go for?? what was my stock 1 in my GT?
  21. right all you may no my car is in the garage atm been there for a bloody week and they still avent looked at it there really pissing me off, but if the turbo has gone on it and needs repairng its going to cost like 500 quid so what i was thinking was mabys getting a bigger turbo am not really sure thow becouse what will i need if i did want to do that ? all i know is a exhaust manifold.... what else? cheers edit: what turbo do i have atm? the stock 1? its the ct9 isnt it?
  22. thanks lads oh 1 other thing, ive been reading some comments on that vid and people are saying it may damage the turbo . is that possible?
  23. so basically tight the screw till the spings tight and then itll make that sound
  24. so doing that will it give me the dumpvalve sounds and the chatter? hmmm just that vid has both i have a hks ssqv were bouts is the spring,tricky to get to?
