  1. man, that it looking realy nice! just gettin better nd better as time goes on- lovin the Cruise bonnet
  2. sounds like a nice little car you have there and from what i can make out from your avatar it look pretty nice, I'm sure there are other photo hosting websites but photobucket is a good one- might just be down or something just keep tryin even though you have been on here a while welcome lol
  3. your v is looking awesome, what kinda bhp/torque do you think it is running at the moment? and how well does it pull with the mods you have on it? as mine will be at a similar stage soon
  4. with a good pair of shocks and 40mm spring you are set, like others have said unless you are going to go on tracks days etc there isn't much point- although if you are supper picky and want it even lower and want to change the camber, damping etc then coilovers are the obvious choice. but daily driving shocks and spring are more than enough good handeling, nice ride.
  5. hiya mate welcome to the club, tbh it's a toyota and just like a honda if you take care of them not much goes wrong. there are a fair few gt's around so finding a good one shouldn't be to hard, just check out pistonheads or autotrader. i have a glanza but they have pretty much an identical engine, if you go to see one just look around the exhaust ports, manifold etc to make sure there are no cracks or leaks, warm the engine up and give it a good rev onto boost and check for no blue smoke out the exhaust.
  6. ^^^^^ totally what keirz said, before you decide to follow big power sort out the handling and breaking other wise all the hard work and money you spend will be laying upside down the other side of a hedge somewhere ;)
  7. car looks very clean nice example, i just got one recently and it's realy easy to get caried away with thinking ooo i could get a nice front mount and hydrid etc, but you have got the right idea give it a good service and take care of all the little stuff first lol nice V ;)
  8. i'm just turned 20, 2 years no claims insurance for me was about £996 tpff through Adrian flux, good price as i not that old also it's in my own name. just bought a glanza bout month ago bt bought one that was already in the country, if you want a good condition glanza you would be looking towards the top of your budget- check the for sale section out on this site
  9. does it matter what type you put onto the wheels i am ordering a set of rota's but does it matter what type of locking nuts i put on e.g. rays will these fit fine? or would i be better getting specific ones for the wheels from rota (if they do them?)
  10. kyb shocks etc say not to put spring lower than 30-40 mm on them, why cant you put lower on them, do shocks sit lower than the standard ones or are they the same height?
  11. perhaps it a replica glanza? but with the full body and engine inside that could be why its on a s plate as there are glanza replica's on here on s plates- but i dont no just a thought and unfortnaly i wont be at bluewater as my car aint up 2 scratch
  12. any interior pics? didnt think it was easy getting 98 model into the country and this is a s reg 99? i spy 96 seats in the car, along with the 96 body kit etc?
  13. i went to look at a car there a while ago, got there car didn't look to bad but when i started to look around there was oil all over the engine, when i revved it onto boost nothing but blue smoke piled out the exhaust- he said it had just been sitting around for a while and it just needed a tune, i made my excuses and left rather promptly. some poor bugger was looking at the same car and bought it lol he bought a shitter, but like ricks said there was some interesting bits there that i spotted with my keen eye, you just have to no what to look for.
  14. anybody lowered there's -40 and how do they find the ride, lowered height?
  15. soz i allwaysput it in the wrong place lol
  16. i'm looking into lower my glanza but not sure how far to lower it, so i was wondering if people could post up how low there car is, what they are lowerin it on e.g. coilovers, shocks and springs or just springs and maybe a picture to help me visualize how it might look? it would be great help
  17. welcome to the club, sounds like a nice car you got any plans with the 5EFE engine e.g. turbo
  18. the offset on a glanza is 40 i think, was just wondering what i would have to do to fit some buddy club p1's if they would fit that is- think they are et42.
  19. with out any lights, heater etc it runs around 900 it hasnt changed since i turned it up alittle bit, the owner before me turned it down to like 200 for some reason so just under 1000 must be around what factory would set it at, if i put on the lights it does dip alittle but not alot but generaly doesnt change to much from around 900 hundred now. i was told to maybe clean the butterfly section in the intake manifold as it could be dirty and getting alittle stuck- causing the difference in revs?
  20. only time the idle will rise is if i put on the aircon then the revs rise alittle bit, but thats to be expected is it not? is something wrong with the car?
  21. cheers for all your help guys nd girl, all the information has made researching allot easier
  22. i found generally glanza's vibrate allot on idle anyway it's just what they are like, my car on about 900 revs was quite smooth, i don't no much about the engine but if you have a lumpy idle around the 900 to 1000 mark perhaps look at getting an idle stabilizer?
