Have to agree I think you might of gone a bit overkill with 3 different decals there if I'm honest mate. If you had a JAM rear bumper to go with it I think that could actually look quite nice.
-
Car looks awesome Chanelle, really liking the lights. You stole my idea for painting the clusters though.
-
Lovely example, got a very similar number plate to you too, only two numbers are different.

I'm assuming that since the lights are a completely different shape the answer would be no, and if it did it would be an incredibly shonky fit. Chanelle did the whole front end, glanza bonnet, lights and front bumper,

Dyno Day For Those In The Maidstone/ashford Region Of Kent
Bildo replied to joe-ep91's topic in South East Region
1) Joe-EP91 (Glanza V) 2) JAG (V Machine) 3) Bildo (V) 4) 5) 6) 7) 9) 10) It will have to be a few weeks after JAE for me, I'd preferably like to have my new clutch and mapping done by this time, neither of which come cheap! -
Really like that, looks like a clean example, except the wheels are far too big in my opinion. Get yourself a nice set of light 15's and you'll notice a world of difference with handling and acceleration. Welcome aboard though, seem to be quite a few girls coming in lately.

Few pics from when I took it for a drive tonight: Me putting the hose back on!

3? Blimey lol. I'm using Mikalor clamps which are a lot thicker and stronger, the only issue was that where it seems to tighten them all perfectly it was just the HDi one where both ends were touching and it couldn't be tightened anymore. It was down to the clip being too big I'm sure so I've got a smaller one to put on. I'll then run it and see how that goes, worst case scenario I might add another clip onto it mate, thanks for the advice. Don't really want them popping off all the time, it's annoying having to try and fix it on the roadside!
-
Thanks Chanelle yours is looking great too, hopefully see you at Medstone.

Haha, that's the interesting part bud. Basically all the pipes connected brilliantly to the WEPR piping however the part that goes to the HDi one went on far too easily and I knew I had an issue. I did the clamps I had with it up as tight as possible but as soon as I went on boost for the first time I got to .5 bar and it popped off, so I tried to make it a bit tigher but I went on boost and it came off again. I ran off boost for the rest of my journey. Tomorrow I'll be putting a smaller clamp on, roughing up the edges of the hose and the piping to hopefully make it not slide off so easily. Sorry not to be able to give you a positive answer there man, nothing to do with the turbo at all though. Will let you know as soon as my niggly issues are resolved!

Thanks guys! I had never been too fussed about the look of my bay, I liked to keep it discreet but I've got a couple of bits to show off now. I still don't like to be loud and colourful, which is basically why I got the black silicone hoses and braided hosing etc. I might take pride in the bay now and get the cover painted and stuff to make it look a bit better, I think the dark and chrome theme kinda works! As for the WEPR FMIC, my core isn't from the WEPR kit, but the piping itself is amazing quality, it's nice and shiny, has really good lips on each pipe and the welds are fantastic. The welds on the HDi part I have are seriously shocking in comparison. I hope you don't get the same issues with the hot pipe as I did mate, if you're intending to run a front mount air filter you will run into a whole load of issues even in the stock position!
-
Thanks a lot bro, means loads to me, it's always nice to hear positive things and I'm delighted with the look of it. When are you planning to have that done man? If you're going for a near identical build let me know and I'll tell you all the difficulties I had so we can make it as smooth as possible for ya.

I'm no pro and my camera isn't the greatest but we met up tonight having done a load of stuff to our cars lately and decided to go for a drive, here's some pics for you all.

Good man, looking forward to it!

Right guys, another update! Got up at 8am this morning and went straight to work on the car, work was pissing me off too much this week and I really wanted the car finished, so it worked out nicely. Started off by fitting the HDi hot pipe properly for the first time in attempt to cure my issues, and realised that the WEPR piping and HDi wern't matching up perfectly. Decided on a few methods and basically ended up putting a bit of force in and bending the pipe slightly (no damage was caused) to fit onto it nicely. Trimmed a bit off both pipes and it all popped together! Didn't have any issues with the relocation kit at all, fitted in nicely through the gap. Had to do a bit of internal bumper trimming but nothing that can be seen from the outside of the car. So after a whole load of work today I got it started and it fired up first time and sounded lovely, idles nicely now aswell! Here's some pics:

I had three issues with the WEPR hot pipe, I think it might be something to do with the location of the tong turbo, I was told it might need rotating. It could however of been the decat or mani. Here's the issues I had though: Bonnet wouldn't shut when fitted where it was meant to be. No room for an air filter relocation. Pipe was sitting heavily against the rad so any movement in the engine would've meant rubbing on the pipe or rad, not great! Apart from that it was a really nice fit everywhere else. Anyway, my solution arrived this morning from Idrees, I fitted a HDi hot pipe and now everything fits absolutely perfectly! I'm waiting for a couple of packages to arrive tomorrow morning and hopefully the car will be ready to go! Can't wait!

Amazed at how quickly you guys get everything done it's looking really good. Looks like a few of us will have something to show off at the next Medstone now!

Few Photos Of My Starlet And My Mates Frp Zetec S
Bildo replied to Steve GT's topic in Photography Gallery
Sounds like he has too much money to burn. For the amount he's spending on those kind of conversions you could really be doing something a lot more exciting. RS Turbo lump in a MK4 is a bit meh, personally. It'll set him back a few grand too I assume? -

Pretty nice ZS there. The 1.7 engines are boring as hell though, even the FRP was massively underpowered considering what it was meant to be. -
50 foot of the stuff is more than enough for the mani and decat mate. I've still got a decent amount of roll left over but it's better to buy too much than too little, eh!

I remember Clarkson saying in the episode '... until the new series in November' in one part. I doubt it's the end, but I am really confused about the whole seriousness and depressing ending, it's left me a bit worried about things. I can only assume he's talking about supercars, didn't he basically say about the whole eco shit? Perhaps they're putting restrictions in place to make it near-impossible to build a supercar or something silly? God knows, I don't trust this Government one bit.
-
It's an issue with the FMIC hot pipe, I think the turbo or mani have moved from where they once were which has now made the pipe hit the bonnet meaning it's not shutting properly. I'm going to go around and ask for quotes for stainless welding to get the pipe fixed and then go from there. Thanks for all the comments guys!
-
I've had some unexpected costs with this and it's still not finished so it's kind of money depending at the moment as to when it's mapped. I'm not in any rush to get it back on the road I need to fix the couple of issues I have first. We will arrange a meet soon after though.

Ebay Find:- Sportif With High Performance Exhaust

I actually giggled. -
Rick has been a saviour throughout the whole thing, I can't praise him enough and most definitely wouldn't of been able to do it without his help. I am having an issue with the bonnet which I'm trying to resolve at the moment but I've got the bumper fitted now so here's a few pics of that. There's a 0mm clearance between the bumper and core, it touches it so it's ABSOLUTELY perfect.
