  1. Looked megga when I saw it at Gaz's the other day Webby. By far the best about by miles, plus customer service is second to none. Only problem with going to gaz's is seeing yours makes me want to get my car back out!
  2. No fella hes got an astra GSI he beat the bike engined mini in the final last year. Seems to be doing well, just won his class at Time Attack today too. You done much 1/4 before? or just mainly aiming to win handling?
  3. Really like this mate, Spoke to you at blyton on an MLR sprint series after you owned a lot of evos and scoobies Good luck at TOTB next weekend, my mate's won the handling circuit last 2 years in a row but isn't entering this year as hes competing in time attack this weekend. So should give you a better chnace of winning
  4. All down to who maps it really been doing 1.4bar for ages now on standard internals. A good ecu helps as well, not keen on all these piggyback efforts my mapper said if it was his own car he wouldn't use a piggyback.
  5. A little update, fitted a gizmo boost controller with rpm dependent boost. Also had it mapped by Garry @ GR Performance now running 1.4 bar for over 2 months still on standard pistons and rods with no problems.
  6. Yeah GSI running a GT30, He struggled to put power down tbh lighting them up on road tires. Hes not had it RR but estimate is 500ish. It looked like you where struggling to put the power down. Was you running full boost in 1st and 2nd?
  7. No problem mate, Glad to know the launch control helps. I'll be using mine when I next go on the strip then. Yeah lots of people struggling with wheel spin. My mate beat his best yesterday though doing an 11.7 at 122mph in his astra.
  8. Cheers mate, Mines the white EP82 at the top with the carbon bonnet
  9. Saw this yesterday mate. Did well with the 13.5 was a good run. Plenty more in it though from what I saw
  10. Don't rate em lad, Mines just packed in. didn't have it too long and was slipping on power. Going for a CC clutch see how that holds up.
  11. Thanks for the reply chaps, its been holding temp fine and hasn't used any coolant either since I took it to my friends garage. So I'm just going to keep an eye on them both for the time being and if not get the head gasket done. TBH though with all the problems I've had in the last 2 years after 6 years of ownership I'm looking to buy something else.
  12. ive not got one anymore mate, the plug kept leaking so I had the hole welded up
  13. Thanks for the reply mate, the rads new and ive checked it over since and it totally fine, I was thinking it could be the head thats warped but I wasn't sure. Would that cause the car to reach temp so quick?
  14. Well around 3 weeks ago the water pump went on my gt and the temp gauge went through the roof. I had a new pump fitted and all seemed fine until the other day when I pulled into my uni car park and again the temp gauge had gone through the roof. I checked the rad and there was no coolant in it yet again but no leaks where found either. I took it to a friends garage today who looked it over and did some tests n said there ws no obvious sign that the head gasket had gone. We fitted a new temp sensor and thermostat just to be on the safe side. Now however pretty much after literal
  15. Hes breaking copyright law, doesn't matter if you post a pic on the net you still hold copyright to the pic. You don't have to state the picture is copyright protected when posting it either. You could take him to court for it if you wish, did a big thing on copyright at uni as part of my degree.
  16. If you have to do the fog lights again mate, take the front bumper off 15min job
  17. nice build buddy, have to let me know will sort a meet sometime
  18. Thank you for the reply chaps. Yeah I have a FMIC lol Its mainly the rad running hot im worried about. Where did your bro get the 2nd mini rad from matey? as ive never seen them oil cooler size. Ill get a sard thermostat and see what thats like. Also has anyone tryed this? http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/prodde...prod=HeaderTank do they work?
  19. Right well I have recently switched to TD04 and have a civic alloy rad in place on my car, however I have noticed this gets really hot compared to the standard rad. I'm wondering if there is any way I can improve the cooling of the radiator as I'm worried about it overheating? I cant fit a thicker or longer rad due to the shape of the manifold. I have the biggest fan I can fit on the rad. I have looked at a sard low pressure thermostat but not sure how much of a difference this would make? Anything else I can do? Thanks Mark
  20. no worries matey, sounds like your not having much fun. I'm in need of a new clutch for sure release bearing is megga loud now. Turbo decided to spit out one of the bolts for some reason that holds the front and back housing together. Put another one in now and all fine
  21. no worries driver will do lad once its fully mapped. Yoi know I love you really thorpy :harhar: you need to get yours fixed lad. Did you try the oil test sleeper suggested?
