Yeah I understand mate. Can you get a family member to insure it as a 2nd car just until you pass? Or, as you have said, try getting it trailored. I am pretty sure you won't be covered on there traders policy, not to take it all the way home.

Ok, to help you out a bit.. All (well most) Traders i.e Car sales places will have a Traders Policy for the actual company. Each person that works for this company will be named on this policy, so they can drive ANY car from their forecourt. Now I think they would be fully comp. This also covers them for when people take a car for a test drive, although they HAVE to have the traders plates on the car. Its illegal to not have them on. In answer to your question, the reason you won't get Glanza's coming up on insurance sites is because the are a Japanese Imported car only, and not very common, the insurance sites don't recognise them. Most insurers will have the GT turbo on their systems but not the Glanza.

Funny you should say that. A few years back in Norwich, there were 2 men driving around in a silver Ford Focus. In the back they had one of those electronic signs (like unmarked police cars have) which would flash up asking someone to pull over. Well they decided to pray on young woman driving alone at night. They would pull up behind flashing their lights, and then pull infront with the sign asking them to pull over as they were police. Ditto!! ^^^ I stopped down our main street for clubbers that goes through town to pick up and a friend, and as my sister got out to open the door another mate took and running dive into the back! So I ended up doing a 10mile round trip just to take him home because he wouldnt get out!

Its really shit to hear that someone has done this to you, glad you got it sorted in the end. The only thing I would say, is I wouldnt be so happy that you have got more money from your insurers....this just means you will pay more premiums when your next up for renewal because you claimed on your own insurance.
