  4. Got a few other things done today. Fitted a rear fog for the mot. Made up a back plate for the switch from scratch and reckon it looks pretty neat. Also fitted a genuine Trd gear knob Then got on to the job of the stealth shelf for the rear speakers. First I used the oem shelf as a template on to some 12mm ply I had spare Then mounted the 6x9s Next I used some foam to pad it out to give a better finish once it's covered in fabric. And stapled it in to position. Then I pulled some black fabric tight over the shelf, and again stapled in to position. Once fitted I think it's as best lookin
  5. Thanks mate. Should also have said that the wheels I'll be running will be 14" so obviously this narrows down options as well.
  6. What's out there these days? Wms seem a write off with suppliers these days. Tuning developments don't list any brakes now. Wilwood don't list any on their site for starlets. And levin, and decent celica seem hard to get. Options?
  7. So got a bit done today. I'm in no way into big sound systems, but I do like a nice quality system for listening to tunes. First on the order for today was to bin the old Kenwood unit. The wiring loom behind it was also a hacked mess So I fitted correct iso connectors and took a switched live to the loom for correct on/off operation Then fitted a nice new media unit Next up is the speakers, as there was none whatsoever in the front. And old kenwood box types on the shelf which are very jdm, but completely naffed. So got some vibe 4 components with tweeters and went for a front stealth inst
  8. Update: I reckon the fact there's no bloody brake fluid in the resavoir might have something to do with it 😡
  9. Cool thanks colin I'll try that in a bit. Don't think it's anything major, probably with the car sitting not doing anything for so long.
  10. Ah the joys of old cars lol. So tool the 71 a run today and was fine until I noticed it getting hard to select gears. Also the clutch bite is nearly at full travel down on the pedal. Now it pretty much won't go into gears when driving. Yet with the engine off, if you keep going through selection it slackens off till its normal again. Possible problem with master? Cheers in advance Ian
  11. It's been a long time coming, but finally I have found the car I have always wanted. I purchased it via Ireland on the 4th of March, and initially I'm really happy with its condition for being a 28 year old car. Coming home on the boat. I have a day of severe detailing planned for tomorrow. This should also allow me to inspect the car and see what little marks are needing sorted. I'm also going to remove the terrible kenwood head unit, and fit a new pioneer Bluetooth system. Many pics to follow soon............
  12. Rough mate, that wheel could be refurbed easily enough though. I'd say £400 even with the damage
  13. It's great seeing this come together. You have some serious skills 👍
  14. Bah, tell her to give in to the inner demon and get an ep 😎
  15. Even a decent 105 grit on an orbital would probably bring it up a good bit
