Would also be intresting to know how many are roughly left.....most 5drs are kept by asian families who treat them like shit or some belong to certain new learner drivers who again treat them like shit because they "dont look nice" (sorry for the rant i saw loads of them today which had been kept in dire condition i.e. hammered out front wings after a bad accident, dents, dings,falling bumpers.i actually spoke to a new driver n he said its a shitbox id rather have a nice corsa.... )

Thing is, i have to keep practicality in mind the starfish is used all the time to haul loads of stuff and people around so i cant have it scraping itself all the time...so i think a 30mm MAX drop is best for me. Would you recomend otherwise?

I think toy tuning have them at £37 or so......how will the exhaust effect fuel economy?

BUT when i drive back its cold around 7.30-8.30 ish so i guess cold air = more fuel burning....also my exhaust is blowing (would it make a diff?).......i better come clean i change my gears at 2000rpm except from 4-5th were i stay at 3000rpm then change, i occasionally blaze down in the fast lane at 80-90 and up the hill`s i hit the hill at 70.........speed drops to about 60ish halfway up i fully put my foot fully down to get her up to 70 ish again. weird driving style.......on a full to the rim tank i got about approx 285

then i have to deal with pipe work etc.....i done really have time to piss around with it that filter is effin cheap tho. on another note FUEL ECONOMY she gets really thirsty on the motorway by that i mean there is a very noticable drop on the gauge after i have come off the motoryway.....i do drive like an animal on occasions racing puntos,corsas,micras......anything small BUT i have started to calm down before something goes wrong even at 65-70mph there is a noticable drop on a trip of about 35miles........so i dont want to make it worse.....

For now i want a panel filter as i have like £30 to spend and shit loads of uni books to buy......if i get a k&n will i have to clean it with the oil or replace it every time? also are there any other panel filter worth considering? also better gains using cold induction or upgraded panel filter?

My second week in bradford and boy have i seen some sex looking cars.......so far of relevance 3 gt`s black one, had a turbo timer thing,white, silver had loads of gauges on the dash on the right hand side. 2 glanzas both black one had a dump valve and bbs wheels, and the other had some other rims. atleast 4 NA`s one had the optional fit fog lights on.....well let me tell you the funny story i got fined £60 for parking in some place and then the parking attendants were fannying around where i parked it next so i had to move it again....so i moved it about 3min away from uni i picked up some clothes which were in the back and made my way down a massssive hill looking like a tramp with all these clothes in my hand......then i saw it a metalic red/pink 3dr NA with optional fit fog lights...i thought about it then thought a little more then i ran back up this really big hill after it hoping to get a pic or even ask the guy if i could buy em....he just give me a really evil dirty look so i dint bother i was tempted to ask the gt-glanza drivers if they were on here/knew about the site or even put a post-it on there wind screens......but i dint want them to think i was robbing,vandalising there cars so i went about my bussiness. on a good note i paid for the starfishes parking permit so she will be safe right outside my room £123 but i would pay that anyday than look for a door window for a 5dr NA as i have never seen one at a breakers

Hey all i finally managed to book my interveiw for 10.30 today after 2 failed attempts to attend. Hopefully it all goes well done some research etc just need to go in early and find certain things. I dont think i will get in as i dont go there often......so my general product knowledge is rubbish. But ill try my best and hopefully fund some much needed mods for the starship.

£200! get a price for delivery, if you can sort a cheaper truck yourself go get it atleast when its at home you`ll be able to sort things out knowing its safe.......and be able to perv on it out the window while going past .........was able to get mine delivered for £75 from cheltenham to manchester.

What i have decided to do is get that box, and get it decatted (minor performance gains also) by getting them to flange it? so come MOT time i can put the cat back on......the whole exhaust is rusty so its probably best to go for stainless steel one to ensure it doesnt rust etc long term........all this if i have the money

Hey when i replaced the belt i inspected etc and they seemed fine.......but 2000miles later i think they are making a squeeky noise......bloody hell they aint half pricey anyone recomend a decent jap make without the price tag for the tensioner and idler?
