You might have pinched the sensor at the bottom of the radiator when putting the new one on. Check that first.

You can get replacement studs from Toyota or Camskill.

Still, I understand your point, I only use Blitz filters on mine. Not because they give any performance gain what so ever but just because they are a funky blue.

Could well be the sump, mines been like it for 7 years and after 3 re-seal attempts it's still doing it.

They are a bugger for it. if its not the sump the seal behind the crank shaft could well be at fault. Whip the timing cover off and have a look for oil trails.

Still got the rear brace or as said above it definitely sold?
