    Advice

Not worth risking such an expensive engine. Plug and Plays aren't ideal as they all vary with different maps for different setups. Buy a mapable ecu and get it mapped asap!
  8. G-Reddy E-Manage Blue The Favorite Piggyback Management for our EP's! Looks like new. Been used on a Glanza V. Comes with Main Harness, 3 Bar MAP Sensor & Harness. Pictures: Price: £225 Posted Current Location: Arrived in UK Payment & Postage: Paypal or Bank Transfer Accepted Postage Via Private Courier
  9. Stock for Stock. EK9... but considering a Mint GLanza is 3.5-4k and a MINT Ek9 goes well over 7k... The money youd save the Glanza could be made into a better car...
  10. DIY with this ECU is not simple.. Even if wired in correctly. The settings/Map on the ecu could stop it from starting!
  11. Starting to go through the 2 big boxes... Majority of the stuff made it here in 1 piece! Little teaser pic... Ill try get posting over weekend. So busy
  12. Yeh, the wastegate was cracked more then my first initial look. I guarantee if you'd have put it on your car (it was already stripped down it would have been absolutely fine to at least try) The cracks weren't large or excessive and didn't leave the wastegate penny parameter... There is also no such thing as a CT9 without shaft play. Brand new or refurb ones have shaft play. It again wasn't excessive and wouldn't worry me even the slightest... Like I said its since gone to another owner. Who is perfectly happy with it, it performs perfect... I apologised for the lateness of responses, but the majority of people that just think I spend all day on ukso are very much mistaken... I get 25-30 PMs a day. Because everyone is under the illusion they will PM "The Boss" when in actual fact I AM NOT the boss. I don't own this site... You were being fussy/picky Dan. If you were buying a MINT ct9 from me it would have been 3 times the price. You've got your money back and an apology. Like you did at the time. If you find it satisfying to post up and to add your milk to the potion that's fine. My friend Mark drove this in convoy from Scotland. If a bottom end knocks. It would last maybe 10mins before throwing a rod thru a block or seizing up solid. I didn't have to do anything. But as a jesture of good will have covered the price of new bottom end shells. --------------------------- It may seem like people are getting shafted left right and center. (using paypal protection is something I would recommend if a user doesn't have any rep at all). But in actual fact, the majority of transactions that happen on UKSO in the marketplace is huge. Not all of them have feedback left. Yet if someone gets done over, they post it up straight away. Over 25,000 people pass through UKSO every month. That's not hits, views. etc That's PEOPLE... So a handful of problems is actually pretty amazing really. That being said. Try be as clear and honest as you can.. Ive sold many engines and probably 10+ CT9s and this is the first issue anyone has had with either of.. Im not out to scam folks and bad luck can happen. Hell ive had more bad luck then probably 95% on here. Dan507, you were sorted months ago... Jacob has a partial refund. End of! Thread Closed
  13. I have one here... Not local tho.. PM me if your interested.
  14. Horn could be a few things... 1, the wires cane snap off the connectors due to age.. Glanzas have 2 horns so unlikely both have failed... 2, Fuse? Foglight. Majority of owners wire a light up switch into one of the 4 rear lights on the back of a starlet turbo... So much better if your friendly with a tester tho ;)
  15. Ouch. Sorry folks, been so busy yet again! I've unpackaged most of it! Ill do the rest tonight and get it all on here for the world to see!
  16. Partial Refund Sent. To cover the cost of shells... As a Gesture of Good Will... No warranty was offered, and no one else would offer warranty for an engine on here I don't think! However I do feel for you mate. I know what its like being sold something that's not right... Still a bit stunned that it managed a 350mile journey from Scotland without spinning a shell... As I said I've sold 4-5 of these engines now knowing full well they were fully functional... Had no reason to believe otherwise in this case... ------------------------ That ok Jacob?
  17. That's wrong.... Seal Ring goes onto Manifold... That's where the seal is needed! Why is the wastegate 10ft away from the manifold?
  18. But is it going to be able to drive 350 miles? Not sure... PM On Route....
  19. Please post up the shell pics tormoz Jacob... Id like to see the shells first...
  20. Surely you can appreciate that an engine doesn't just slightly knock the bottom end shells. As an early warning sign to say they need changing... They run smoothly. Or spin and completely fail and knock like mad... Please send me some pics of the shells, Id like to see them... SO what your wanting from me is the cost of some bottom end shells?
  21. If you want to word things like that... I could argue your trying to make me look the cunt saying I've knowingly sold you an engine with a knocking bottom end? You've messaged me a lot mate. sometimes, 5 times a day. What are you expecting me to do for you? Can I see the failure please...? Any pictures of the damage to the crank, the shells. etc Thanks
  22. You wanted me to pay for all sorts when you first got in touch 2 months after coming to get the engine... I said the most I would consider is refunding you is for the shells... However.... I still don't get the fact that the shells were knocking... It wouldn't have done 350 miles! No Way... It'd have spat a rod out the crankcase... Didn't smoke. Didn't Misfire. Sold 4-5 4E-FTE's now I know what there prone for and I know the signs... This engine displayed no such signs...
  23. You bought a CT9... It had a cracked wastegate. Like every other CT9 in the world... You gave me it back at Japfest and I refunded you and sold it to someone else. Who is boosting and enjoying it just fine with no problems what so ever... I have a picture of the car in Scotland. kidV drove the car back from the top of Scotland... There is no way a engine would make it 350miles+ with a knocking bottom end... To then get a message off you want me to cover funds for a new Cambelt, full service and all this other stuff it needs for peace of mind I feel is a little unfair... Bottom ends either knock or they don't. They don't just knock lightly as an early warning to change the bottom end shells... They run smoothly or they spin a shell and knock... There is no in-between.... I've sold 100000s of things on here. However it seems you cant please everyone...
  24. Been collecting a sizeable load of parts before bringing a box over... Ill be posted up tonight! Lots of goodies! Keep your eyes peeled on this section!
  25. Ryan McCluskey got his car featured in Banzai Magazine in the August 2013 Issue! here are the scans folks! Well done Ryan, a stunning car!
