i'll be going, but leaving early, me and stockrod will be convoying up and other people are welcome to join us, come from bristol.
-
i prefer the optional bumper extensions that come on the 96/97 bumpers (one on mine and shelly's), dont really like the one you posted, looks a bit out of place, doesn't fit in.... but i'll wait till its fitted to pass final judgement.
-
if the car is causing you hassle shelly.... ...then sell me your wheels
-
you'd 'beat' shelly with something hard and heavy? yeah, i think i would too
-
you gonna come up with us shelly?
-
from seeing those pics, you wheel is FUCKED mate, personally i wouldnt wanna try to repair something like that, it'll never be as strong as the wheel originally was as one piece, there's actually bits missing... real unfortunate because they're lovely wheels.... also, shelly, i've told you once, but i'll tell you again, give me your wheels...
-
BlackTarw is correct, anything newer than '96 is a big no no as far as starlets are concerned.
-
it was a joke bud, you know, vroom vroom, haha, etc.... anyway, you coming to pod? few of us are gonna convoy up, maybe with the guys coming from devon/cornwall also.
-
they're all bloody minging.
-
ultimate sleeper? ......its got glanza front end and rear bumper mate...and is insanely loud.... hardly a sleeper.
-
keep saying that when i find you
-
ye exactly. a conversion in something which really doesn't have the bits to cope with it will be alot higher in insurance than the standard item, plus the amount of mods you'd have to stick on it would add shit loads on the insurance anyway. plus, it wont have all the little niceties that a stock glanza will either.
-
just buy a glanza... insurance will prob be same, and there's nothing better than the original, comes with all the little bits that the uk one doesnt. sounds harsh but true at the end of the day would prob work out cheaper too considering all the mods needed to make a uk model into the spec of a glanza !
-
Nice mate, i'm not really a fan of the style personally but they are very nice, compared to the originals!
-
nice, thats just down the road from me. i'll have to try and join em next time
-
painted pink... what a waste.

Top Mounted ARC vs Blitz Front Mounted
ecksjay replied to Glanza_Ragger's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
new, about £700, from somewhere like new zealand. used, you'll have to keep your eye out on ebay and such, because they're rare for a reason. i know where one is, but its got a little damage and is currently in japan. -
Top Mounted ARC vs Blitz Front Mounted

ah ok sound dave, ye i didn't wanna sound like i was comparing the two, because the differences are obvious, but the little arc does have its good points. -
I found some wilwood starlet kits on the jap auctions, but they wanted over a grand for em very sexual, but i couldnt justify spending that! it'd be nice to know how much these hi-spec ones are, if he paid £800+ on a uk non turbo, then he has more money than sense! as said in that thread, decent discs & pads are more than enough for the light weight starlet.

Top Mounted ARC vs Blitz Front Mounted

yes dave, hence why i said they're COMPLETELY different things, well, actually i said the fmic's are a 'completely different league', if you think i was comparing them then please feel free to read what i wrote as much as you like, i dont think i could've explained it much clearer. The arc tmic works a treat if you're only going for mild mods, and makes a very simple and easy upgrade from the stock one, but as soon as you wanna get serious with the mods the only way forward is a fmic. i dont know what they're good for bhp wise, but i'm willing to try and find out. ;) if its a limiting factor e -
is yours a turbo? hmmm, 4pot calicers and 300mm discs would look lovely on my glanza.... how much it set you back?
-
with uk models immob's are usually a dead cert after a certain age, but in japan, it was never installed from factory, alot of em tried to bodge one in after though Most SR's etc have em, because out country is crap for car thievery! ;)

Top Mounted ARC vs Blitz Front Mounted

different leagues mate... the arc's are for mild tuning, maybe something like a self learning sard/jam ecu upgrade, probably good for upto 170bhp (at a random guess, we'll see how far i can take mine...) but a fmic is a different league. even with a small fmic you're good for 250bhp, but as said, its horses for courses. fmic is alot of effort and pipework, also a big draw of attention, so it all depends on what you're after. i'm biased obviously, but the arc's are mint, but they're also stupidly expensive. i do not know what bhp they're good for, but i'll source an ecu, up boost, and see how f
