nope, you'd know if the wheels were spinning, would prob get steering wheel judder, certainly sounds like clutch...
-
exactly. we aren't having a go at you mate, just stating our opinions, no need to take offence to it. as said, if it worked so easy, then everyone at pod would be doing it, but the last time i read about a car using 106octane, it was a sumo rebuilt R34 GTR, and thats what the car had been built/designed to run on..... our gt/glanza's are obviously designed to run on 100ron, but the knock sensor adjusts the timing accordingly for lower ron fuel, i'd still be wary about randomly sticking in fuel with any higher rating, just because it was never designed to do so....
-
yes, it helps prevent detonation, but as yours wouldn't be anywhere near detonation even on 90ron fuel, using fuel with such a high ron rating won't do anything for you. get over it? we were never under it mate, just voicing our opinions, its a public forum, if you didnt want comments, you wouldnt have even mentioned it

sounds like your clutch is slipping mate.

im going to see the oriental women, thats the only reason im watching it.....

14's are where its at

my point exactly... i understand the laws of physics matey, and how an internal combustion engine runs, but realistically, you wont notice the gains in your ickle starlet, it wasn't designed to run on it, so either what was mentioned above will happen, or it'll make sweet FA difference. feel free to prove me wrong, but i'd be very surprised if you do.
-
not really a fan personally, some guy on TGTT has them on his toyota corolla thing, but its personal preference i guess. much prefer alot of items from ROTA, but it is your choice, they aint bad, just not what i'd choose.
-
it wont make a difference mate, not one you'll notice anyway. unfortunately i dont believe the 4e-fe has the capability to actually make use of the higher ron fuel, it'll make sweet FA difference i imagine. feel free to try though, its amusing read

324bhp, to be exact... he enjoys it, but considering it spins in 5th at 135mph, its not usable, in the slightest.... a beasts, yes, but its a little over what the chassis can handle/was designed for, hence the traction issues.
-
unless your ecu has been adjusted for it, no it wont, it'll run barely any different, if at all. the 4e-fte's are obviously tuned to run on 100ron fuel in japan, but even then when you get it over here, after a few tank's of lower ron fuel the knock sensor will adjust the timing to run safely on said fuel, but it does take some time usually.... unless you're running massive power from a dirty great turbo'd engine, 106 octane will do absolutely nothing for you.
-
mine were purchased from a local wheel supplier by the importer, including 45 profile tyres they ran in at £312, which was nice. rarerims.co.uk mate, you aint done much research have you, thats normally the first place people look.... any wheel supplier will be able to sort you out with wheels, they aren't any magical size. 4x100 / et38 , nothing unusual, lots of wheel suppliers will support the size.
-
chrome wheels are shit. they always have been, and they always will be. go ROTA for wheels, up with the best of em for stupid cheap prices, as they've ripped all the major manufacturers off, legends....
-
if its a turbo it could well be fuel cut, or dodgy leads/plugs, or water in the plugs or something.... DONT go fitting a FCD without first sorting out your fuelling. fuel cut is there for a reason, to protect the engine. if you fit a FCD on its own, you'll be boosting above what the stock ecu can support, meaning the engine will be running lean, which will lead to detonation. if it is fuel cut, then look into a decent boost controller to adjust it to just under fuel cut until you can install the fuelling mods to support an FCD.

chrome wheels? dont be absolutely bloody rediculous, if a glanza ever gets put on chromes, i'm selling mine....
-
hmmm ok mate. the reason i'd be interested is because i dont think i need to go to the extremes of coilovers, decent adj. shocks and sports springs would be ample for me i think, do alot of commuting.... if the shocks are good then they can always be combined with TRD springs etc, if they aren't aftermarket ones, but i'll let you check em out to see. let me know if you do need a buyer. cheers.
-
its a n/a 1.3 at the end of the day mate, you'll be very limited in what you can do to make it any quicker....
-
you gonna be selling em? got any piccies? dont think potenza are the be all end all, but hell, anything is better than this moon buggy....
-
what did you have on before gaz? what happened to em?
-
forgies? only really necessary if going for MASSIVE bhp, which in a little fwd starlet isn't usable anyway :/ 200bhp is prob the limit for drivability, which is perfectly feasable without the need to touch the internals, any more than that and you will run into traction issues along with the other accompanying probs.

look at the times, EVERY colour has been done to death, there's no way to be original with colours, unless you like, drive around with bare metal paintwork....
