yO guys,
I was meant to sell my GT to a good mate of mine at the end of the month, but after taking her out for a blast last night, I simply think I'll miss her way too much, so I've decided to keep her.
But that means I'll have to take the car off the road for a while, to focus on other projects. But before I do, can anyone give me any advice of have to store the car i.e. park it up in gear, so I can leave the handbrake off etc. But what about covers for the car, starting it up each week?
I maybe able to store the car in my Uncles Garage, but worse case scenario I will have to store the car outside on my drive.

Suspension and turbo sold.
All over parts still up for grabs!
-
Thanks mate. Glad you got everything ok!
-
The only car I ever regret selling!!! Looks mint man....pre facelift ftw.
-
A relative that passed actually...not all black folks look the same ;)

No worries. I picked mine up here on the forum for a good price. The owner bought it and never got around to fitting it. They re always sellers with them on ebay though.
-
I recently had one fitted to my Gt - Aem kit. Pretty much came with everything needed.
I had the bung welded into my exhaust...make sure its at angle or else you can kill the sensor.
I ran the sensor wire from the exhaust through a gromit in the engine on the passenger side and into the car. Then for power its just 2 wires positive and negative. I initially just wired it ro the sig lighter for power, buy recently had it wired into my ignition live.
Pretty straight forward man.
-
Forgot about this. Have you good any pics of them fitted on your cars?
-
I'm on about my third horn on my GT....and it still sounds like a noddy car....not loud at all lol (currently halfrauds horn).
Anyway, I was fitting some new dipped beam bulbs yesterday, removed my indicators and grill etc and randomly found a horn just below the headlamp on the drivers side (The oem one I removed and swapped was near the bonnet catch). The one I found on the car yesterday, look likes its wired up but obviously doesn't work. Does anyone know whether the GTs have one here as standard?
Also can anyone point me in the right direction of a loud/oem style horn?
Thanks

So basically I need that rubber connector in the first pic, to connect to the T piece. Also any ideas where I could get one from and some new vacuum line?
-
Guys, are any of you running a boost gauge that uses a nylon boost pipe opposed to a rubber/soft plastic one.
My Autometer gauge doesn't have the normal sized outlet on the back, which allows you to you run a pipe from the gauge to a t piece in the bay, then onto the TB....Its got a tiny ass outlet with a nylon boost pipe attached which is obviously way too small to connect a T piece to. Any ideas of how to get around this?
Thanks

I've had a few people ask for a pic of the turbo from the wastage side. I removed the cat earlier and took a pic.....have a look above
-
Nice find man! Love these. Whats in like on juice compared to the glanza?
-
Intake pipe sold. Open to sensible offers on all other bits!
-
Does anyone know where I can get a bung from to weld into my exhaust? (for aem widenband sensor)
I'm getting a new exhaust system, so need to remove the sensor from my old system, then get a bung welded into the new system.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about OPs issues. I've bought some bits of GB in the past...was nothing but 100% about everything...plus when I received my parts...took me about 10mins to unpack them he wrapped them that well lol.

I'm using a TurboSmart MBC with my td04 at the moment, and I can't fault it:

I was skeptical after running an avc r previously, but this holds solid boost and is mega easy to adjust.

Ffs....hes just offered me a cat back exhaust....dani did he give you a tracking number?
Whitenoize...what did he acuse you of?
Really wonna make sure I dont get scammed before i hand over my hard earned!

Ah right cool. What did it sound like dude? As i said I m after something with a nice deep burble opposed to a raspy sound:)

Hey Dean...Thanks man. Pics of the new one will be revealed soon enough. Its in the garage having a full engine rebuild for peace of mind. Hopefully should be finished before xmas.
@funny onion - Dooo ittt. You won't regret it! Its been a great first bike. Easy to work on, reliable great forum support, and makes you grin like a school kid each time you ride it.
I'm based in Manchester. Could sort something out for you if you're interested. Would much rather an enthusiast to buy it, opposed to a teenager that will potentially end up putting it through a hedge:( Pm me if need be.
