If it only was that easy mate lol!
it goes from the main fusebox...straight into the main loom in the bay...then into the car.
-
guys.....can anyone help me with this. Basically one of the main wires coming from the fuse box is the bay is earthing out. I've traced the wire back and I can't seem to find any rips etc in the wire :s
-
Thanks mate... I ll check it out... Its branches off into 2 wires...one that goes into the main loom and one that goes into the fuse box in the bay.
Just been googling about to see whatcould be causing it to blow...dodgy turbo timer and break in o2 sensors keep cropping up. I m no electrician though, so i m inclined to believe that what my mate said is true.
-
Hi guys, my GT fried the 80am main fuse a few days ago ....was driving along the motorway and suddenly lost all electrical power.
Anyway, I ordered a couple more fuses, fitted one earlier...all was going well until I turned the lights on and the new fuse began to fry.
I checked the volts across the battery and all was fine.
My Auto electrician mate came around to have a look and started testing the wires.
He said that the white wire on the left marked with the black marker is a live wire, and it is earthing somewhere....hence the reason its frying the fuses. So I need to follow the wire back and see where it goes to check to see where its actually earthing. Can anyone tell me where that wire leads to from the fuse box? Thanks
-
I don't think I've got legal cover for my bike policy....hence the reason my current solicitors seem to be pulling all these ts and cs from the sky. I had another non fault accident in my car back in May - bad luck or what - but the solicitors who are dealing with that have been great so far. But the ones that have offered to work on my behalf for this claim seem a bit iffy.
Glad to hear you guys were both ok man!
Yeah thanks dude....just a sprained wrist luckilly....could have been a lot worse.
-
Thats shit man! Hope you came out if that ok?
Just spoke to another solicitor (recommended by a famly friend), and I think I'm more inclined to go with them opposed to the firm that my insurance have provided me with.
-
I got ran off my motorbike last weekend, and was lucky enough to live to tell the tail. I see why a lot of dudes no longer ride on roads and stick to off road...so many peeps out their that just can't drive.
Anyway, my insurance company has instructed a solicitor to act on my behalf for an injury claim. Theres just a couple of things that I'm unsure about and would rather speak to someone that has experienced it first hand, opposed to the speil that the solicitor will tell me.
Thanks

Agree with what Ollie said mate. Demon work fine once you lap the valve it. I m running one now with a turbo smart manual boost controller. Works great with no issues !
-
Decided to do this last weekend to my external gate...but I ll be honest...i was mega skeptical. Took my time and followed Mikeys tutorial.
I can definetly say it made a huge difference! My crappy ebay gate now holds solid boost. Thanks a lot Mikey!
-
Sorry to thread jack, but should there have been 4 grub screws going into that valve? Got a similar issue with mine
-
Cool...you must have a healthy engine to get those figures at .7 bar. Man, i know the feeling. i ve got a dodgy wastegate at the moment, so mines not holding boost . These cars are never finished lol.
Do you go to the Bredbury retail park cruises? I rode past there on a Thursday night a few weeks back...a lot body kitted out cars but saw a couple of nice civics there
-
My GT was at home ...was in my daily beater A3.....I Joined from the Carrington Junction, so undertook you during the 50 zone.....but then you flew past me. Nice car man....sounded . Whats the spec? Was that golf with you or just playing catchup lol?
-
Spotted a White Glanza (lowered on black rims) earlier on the m60 heading away from the Trafford Centre around 1:15am....last 3 digits of the reg were vhr I think.
You were going at snails pace at the 50mph section, but as soon as you passed that section all hell broke loose lol. Flew past me chattering away...then a silver mk4/5 golf flew after you...dunno if he was with you? Either way, car looked and sounded
-
I found this one on ebay, but not too sure if its a fake one man?

Maybe message the seller...he has 2 for sale.

So could I just cut the old wires from my current gauge and then just wire the new one into the ignition live wire and earth wires?..and tape up the 2 wires left?
-
I ve got a blitz super sound here. Pm me if interested!
-
Not too sure about a map sensor. iirc, there was earth, ignition live, illumination and cant remember what the fourth wire was now.
-
Hey lads,
I'm replacing my boost gauge with an autometer one. My current gauge has 4 wires where as the new autometer one just has 2 (1 black wire 1 white wire). Is this normal?
Electonics is'nt one of strongest points :s
-
Yo lads,
Has anyone got an interior light cluster hanging around..for a GT...? preferbly one that works.
Let me know what you have
Thanks
