  1. They do, there was a limited ection one, Gallieo or similar, bright yellow but a soft top, came with a bit fat front and rear lip, and I've seen a black one over at the uk paseo club For the record we share the same bones with it, Glanza aside it's the starlets big brother!
  2. At work, but theg/f's baked me a big chcolate cake (which I've bought in) so I'm happy, thanks guys! AGAIN!
  3. Went for a drive in the dark last night, my old clocks basically had a light shining on them, these light up from the back so the numbers glow the needles too, feel like I've moved up a model in the range (alloys+sr style backbox+rev counter so I almost have! ) Was a damned pain to get it in though, the speedo cable wasn't for shifting easily! Need to sort that mani sorted, but might have to hold off until the g/f passes, she's on the insurance now and she'd notice if the car felt different, don't want her asking awkward like "what have you done?"

  5. Cluster with a rev counter - Done! Watching the rev needle bounce is fun, hope the novelty wears off before I end up boucing off something! On the backbox, it definitely sounds deeper when I start the car (smokers cough without thr smoke!)
  6. 4A would need custom work for the engine brackets, cheap option is to drop in a 5E-FE, or for a bit more a 4E-FE OR get a 5E-FE turbo that and drop it in, the only difference between 5E-FE and the 5E-FHE is the higher lift cams (it's what the H stands for), so if you can get the cam you can go turbo 5E
  7. Don't own one, I've wound it back using my cordless screwdriver, got it at the right milage now, gonna fit it now!
  8. When I got my uncle to help fit the 6x9 and again to fit the backbox he had few words to say about jap design. His main rides are a Landy 90 and a 110, everything is bolted to them, easy to take them apart and put back together so my fiddy jap with plastic screw didn't best please him!
  9. Got-101k Current-91K Target-58k not touched the rev/fuel/heat needles, need to make sure I put the speedo one back on right thou, does have fiddly bits to adjust it's rest position thou, gonna be useful to fine-tune it
  10. How about you sure? I'd rather not have to fit this thing twice myself!
  11. Currently winding mine back as we speak! I'll let you know how mine goes!
  12. We could invite them all to a nice BBQ, some well done pork bangers, bacon-butties, couple of beers to share, play with the family dog, and bring cartoons too everybody loves cartoons rights! bringing up race/religion/sexism is the adult equivalent of throwing a tantrum because you can't your way
  13. Thats the plan, just need to borrow a drill for a bit
  14. +40k miles, so not doing that, plus it's a bit naughty
  15. Yup, just need to figure out how to adjust these SR clocks to read the same milage as my car now! ;)
  16. Signed, comment along the lines of top gear doesn't make idiots, idiots make idiots, educate drivers, don't ban driving shows
  17. If you want to know about 5E stuff, ask the Paseo lot, dunno about NA, but isn't the Glanza one meant to have a bad 3rd runner? Also as the 5E is a taller block than the 4E won't you need to mod the manifold/lower the exhaust under the car?
  18. Phoned the insurance office my dad uses(a Swinton office in Coventry), had a moan mentioned the cheap quote from DL, was told if my alloys were the same size as the steel wheels and offical toyota ones, which they are it was ok I also got the second type of brakedown cover (£60) for halfprice, total cost for me(1NCD) and the learner G/F(2 months!) £664.25 (Fortis) The DL quote was 678.30 and that didn't include any breakdown cover, I'm quite chuffed ;)
  19. Starlet Nath ha sold me his SR clocks and I've got them ready to fit here Got the Wiring guide here and the fitting guidelines here However as my cars done 58k, and these clocks have seen 101k, how do I adjust the milage, I don't really want to put 40k extra miles on over the weekend ;) Thanks in advance Edit: Can't find anything with search here, and all google wants to do is sell me, stuff to adjust digital clocks, is it just a case of rotating the turny bit on the back until it's right? Edit1: I can increase the milage, by rotating the bit on the back, and my electric screwdiver can
  20. I read somewhere, can't remember where, that if you disconnected the battery the air bag/air bag sensors lose power/turn off/whatever and you can remove safely
  21. I intend to phone around a bit, was just venting plus if I know that starlets came with them(as an option), and my has car yaris factory ones I might be albe to argue the toss, just woundering if I'm gonna get boring when I reach 25! ;)
  22. The girlfriend is currently learning to drive, so she can get herself to work in the morning (uni-work placment) getting a lift half-way requires us to get up dead early so I can take her there (at which point I turn around, drive back to home, then the same again to my work) The days she can't get lift we have to be at the train station at 6:10am, so she can get part way to catch a bus to get to work for 8:30, home trip, 2 bus's then a train before I pick her up at 6:10pm from the train station 1yr min learning? in the end she'd have a week of self-reliance we might as well not bother, not
