So 1 of the white plugs from the drivers side sill fits the grey plug in the middle of the dash loom? Then waht do i do wit the other grey female 1 and the other white 1 u see in my hand here Ive also nowhere to plug the interior light on that side. Aye the fuel pump has a kind of round plug on it, is that the same as the uk spec? Thanks rob need to get to the bottom of this asap
-
I have a boot loom here too but ive not touched any of that. The plugs im having hassle with is behind the centre consol at the middle of the dash loom. The 1 that comes from the rear to meet the dash loom has the exact same female plug as the dash loom. The male plug u see in the pic is the end of the glanza loom thats not fitted as it doesnt seem to have a plug for the fuel pump? I have a couple of plugs at the drivers side footwell i cant make sense of either, theres a pic in my thread can u shed any light on those dude?
-
Wouldnt know where to start grant tbh. The looms scare me as it is never mind cutting them up lol
-
I txt geo earlier, had a missed call from him but his fnes engaged now Will i be able to swap that 1 plug from the glanza loom to the na loom or is it not that simple
-
I think he charged me around the same. He couldnt source me the right compressor wheel and tried to charge me for bits he had baught in error and just fobbing me off wen i was foning so i went down and had words with him and my turbo was rebuilt the next day with a £30 discount
-
Just tell him to get the seals done n be done with it, if theres any other bits needing fixed he will see it. U want me to come down with u hes scared of me haha
-
Mines a jdm starlet mate so my stalks are the same as glanza 1s bar the plugs Ive got a feeling im gonna have to change the dash loom again.
-
Bear with me, my fne spazzed out there ill edit it

Having a bot of bother with some wiring looms, was hoping i wouldnt have to change the rear loom in the car for the fte conversion so the na loom is still in at the rear all the way past the handbrake lever where it should connect to the dash loom. So the plug that goes from the rear loom to dash loom is a grey female plug, but the one on the dash loom is also a grey female plug. This is the plug at the end of the na loom left. And the plug at the end of the glanza 1 on the right I have the rear wiring loom for a glanza here but there doeant seem to be a plug for the fuel pump on it plus i dont want to have to fuck about with the rear lights. The glanza loom however has the right male plug at the end where it meets the dash loom but the wires are all different colours. So what can i do?
-
Will be fine to fit it bit why does he need to see it on the car? If theres anything else wrong with it he will see when its open. Justsounds like hassle fitting it to take it back off. Whos doing the seals for u? That wee guy i told u about?
-
Do the conversion yourself dude its not as hard as you would think. Im almost finished mines which has been pretty straight forward. Ive been sxared of the looms for months n months but once u start plugging it in its easy if you have it all. Ive got a full ep82 wiring diagram on my laptop, ill see if i can find it for u.

It fits, but its sitting too low im gonna have to fiddle with it again, its really tight tho. I cant wait greame, seeing it all back together with the fmic hanging out looking mean and not being able to drive it is killing me! Sure ill love wen its running. Far from the finish line tho ive still to buy some management and get it mapped, spole with chris from GI the other day, defo going to him for mapping! Sometimes waterworld open later on a sunday, the owners mate died the other day so the funeral could have been today tho so maybe thats why he was shut? -

Its a car again! looking Better than it ever has with the bumper, wings and headlights properly fitted, need to give it a good clean tho Looked better like this i think Just about finished now, should have the last few bits 2morrow. An igniter, indicator stalks, map sensor and a td04 oil drain. Need to fill it with new fluids and fit those bits and it should hopefully start up Exciting -
I think i might have wat your looking for andy, ill be in bishop brigs today if u want to pop over and have a look.
-
The easiest and most cost effective way is to buy a smashed glanza and swap everything over, u will make money back on parts u sell. I had a gt as a donor and made money instead of spending money. If i could start again id have baught a glanza and done the conversion with them both side by side then sell whats left over.

happy days mate! mind i have a van if you cant get it in the car. Marines can be expensive mate, setting up especially buying your lighting, skimmer, powerheads, rock, sand, salt, test kits etc before you even think about a fish. In all honesty though its worth it. i run LEDs over my tank, they are much much cheaper to run than t5's or halides and give a nice shimmer effect too. test kits are expensive too, when i started out i just baught a few then added to them week by week. i can lend you some to test your water when you set up tho, got plenty of salt and stuff here too to get you started if you want it too.

my tanks been running with no skimmer for over 6 months now dosnt seem to be making any affect on my nitrates. the skimmer i ran when i set it up was tiny aswell. so basically its been ran for about a year skimmerless.Wouldnt say they are essential if your lightly stocked. saying that ive just baught a deltec MCE badboy for the new tank im setting up lol glad youve bitten the bullet and jumped into marines greame, i use www.ultimatereef.net a great forum over there and plenty of info, has a good scottish section too which is usefull for finding used equipment and cheap live rock. your gonna need about 14 - 16 kilo for that tank and buying it from LFS at £13 - £14 per kilo it gets expensive. ul pick it up over there for about a fiver per kilo. go easy stocking it up mate thats how shit hits the fan, take your time and do a bit of reading and things will go smoothly. ohh and your gonna need to ban the mrs from buying plug in air freshners/scented candles etc, i lost all my fish because of a stupid air freshner did you get the tank for a good price?
