  1. HKS Hi-power Silent Exhaust is a good one
  2. cheers folks - some good info there. Main reason was for potential future turbo upgrade and access to other parts - lol I've had a lok on TD site and thanks Socks I will have a gander on flea bay too. aidaneep71 - don;t think any prob in using original fan just mounting brackets and original fan a bit more weighty - lightweight is the key
  3. not heard of custom pipes but Lotties NA had an exhaust UK job and still pretty good. Whats the reason behind having a custom one made as opposed to off the shelf? Is it a cost thing
  4. Is this EP82 with an EVO engine in it on Youtube or twinternet anywhere? Not that having an EVO in my garage and a Starlet NA sitting around doing nothing is making me think! lol Surely it would just be more of a case of custting the EVO wheelbase down and then dropping the shell over the top - Would be cool though, short wheel base 4wd 400bhp pocket rocket! I'm still learning on what can fit and whats a sensible replacement for these cars but do agree if you've got the money to throw at it might aswell do something radical but if you like you GT just invest the money on a rebuild I would s
  5. me either - apart from the first picture and the steering wheel others are broken links. Please update if sold or if still up for grabs - always helps
  6. Yep I like it too - looks good, fits well and not too loud but with a sporty tune It's an HKS Hi-power Silent Exhaust
  7. Ginger beard extinguished now I hear! I'm sure you can loop, slow down, reverse, replicate to get a wee bit of footage together. How did Micheals lap come out?
  8. I have read a few posts on upgrading the standard radiator with a Civic one - can those in the know qualify a few things for me; Car currently running standard turbo and fan so cooling fine at the moment but looking to upgrade and have a radiator thats capable of handling a TD04 possibly later in life but can still be extra efficient on standard turbo. Some my questions are; 1. If I was looking for a standard civic replacement one please confirm that I would need one for a Civic EG/EK (or CRX) from 1992-2000 and that it would need to be the SOHC version - is this correct? 2. If I choose to
  9. It's when you realised I was trying to take an action photo of you driving towards me and I was paying no attention to the fact you were about to run me over!!
  10. Nothing arty folks - just a few point and clicks of the day so don't expect anything too wow factor!
  11. good day and the weather held off I will shift through mine although not many to show as most were taken when I was lying on the floor. I did try one arty shot though!! lol
  12. Hmm - interesting read. Looks like a lot more work though and evidently no better than td04 from what they say. My 9 Turbo have the 10.5 hotside too and not the 9.8; 68mm comp diameter, magnesium comp wheel, titanium turbine wheel; td05-HRA model. Just a though but me thinks ultimately a td04 single scroll maybe best. Nice idea though
  13. I certainly know that scoobies 555 used a td05 and some of the mitsubishi used td04 (not Evos) so could work but agree probably mating up the manifold is the major thing. Always worth a shot of the major part are hanging around Seems to be a few on the leaderboard running td05. I'd need to check on configurations as different versions of them
  14. I've seen many people use te TD04 from the scoobies, presumably as they cheap to pick up second hand. Has anyone used a TD05 from an EVO before? If so is it pretty much same work involved as TD04 to fit into a GT Turbo? The reason I ask as some of you may now I have an EVO 9 GT sitting in my garage at the moment, a little bit poorly waiting for some TLC! I havent checked it fully yet but the turbo deose seem to whistle a bit but could be just a pipe. I will be upgrading the turbo on the EVO eventually and thought that if it fits the GT it can have a new home? Anyone know
  15. looking good. Paint on my Leon Cupra K1 was pretty thin I thought but came up nice with a hand job!! So polisher would look great; I'm sure I have pictures somewhere. Keep up the good work. Always fancied having a go with a DA polisher but i'd probably burn the paint
  16. Don't worry Chris - your doing it lol!! Just trying to learn and get the parts in - coloured pipes = more bhp Noob question - how do you empty the catch can - looks like a sealed can - Is it just a case of draining through one of the connectors or have I messed something? Also assume the clear 'level' tube on the front of the can is to indicate the level in the can and that looks empty (probably cause its all going over the rocker cover!) Be good if you could check - hey maybe even a sticky for pipe/hose sizes!
  17. Nay reason why I cant use Wynns carb/throttle body cleaner on the breather as I have some of that in the garage - it melts skin so should bring the breather up nice and clean plus evaporates quite quickly
  18. I will have a look this evening to check the simple task and see if the can is full - prob empty it any way and clean the breather. I have read a few posts and know many different ways to connect catch cans up. I just wanted to know if the way this one is piped in is ok or not as is. I've never felt the need to run a catch can on any other performance cars in the past but every day is a new learning day. Pipe bore sizes would be useful when you guys get a defo on that as Lottie wants a colour change too so might as well go through cleaning and changing as we go
  19. Ok here's some pics - not sure what's more grubby, the engine bay or the finger marks on the lense of the camera! Hopefully gives the general idea of how wired up (although some pipework hidden). You will see the oil spray on the rocker cover next to the breather; Cheers
  20. cheers guys - actual sizes would be good. The engine bay is defo in need of a good clean up. I will nip out in a bit and put pics up. Might help to identify whats going where!!
  21. Hi All, As per title - bit of rework to do - what's the bore size as I'm going to order a length of silicon hose. Looks like Lotties catch can is plumbed in wrong and spitting oil from breather pipe; missing pcv to inlet pipe I think with my limited knowledge! We wanting to refresh all the pipes and hoses with new ones as bay needs a bit of freshening up Also is this the same bore size as any of the other pipes/hoses in the engine bay (as not looking at moment) as might order longer lengths just to update others as we go along. Furthermore - bore size of catch can pipes would be useful, t
  22. Just to state I didnt add her to mine - was cheaper for her to loose the 10 months towards year 3 and go with a new policy with 2 years NCB with Diamond, so that's the route she went. So looks like I will have to find an EP82 of my own now. I guess once i've driven it will make me decide if I want to swap my daily run about for one or not
  23. Covered Lottie is legally parading the streets now. However she's now looking for extra work to pay her insurance! Adding her under my multicar policy was an extra £300 a month. Just for me was £25 lol - oh to be young again
  24. It will be insured today - I/we will sort something out Car need a few things doing to it to bring up to a good standard but on the whole not too bad. Looks like I will be cleaning the mats Socks - lol Need to sort out the catch can too - not connected up right so spraying oil onto rocker cover out of the breather - easy fix though I think. Engine bay needs a good clean and some new pipes and hoses plus a few other bits and bobs, full service for peace of mind too - oils, belts etc.. I'm sure build thread will develop as goes along. I can see me throwing a few quid at this! Probably not
