  2. looks nice buddy - good luck with the upgrades
  3. Loving Primadonna Girl - Benny Benassi remix at the moment. I know it's commercial and common but good up load even for an old git like me! [media=]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=699bKqDzEFk Also an old favourite from my fast&furious/gone in 60 seconds compliation I put together;
  4. Cheers guys, some great help. If the standard LSD is good then I don't need to worry about adding an aftermarket quaife or similar. I'll defo want one with LSD though I think as will make for a much better ride. I'll probably look at fitting a WALK too - every little helps but as you say in the wet no hope! Thanks Shorty - I'll have a read up on your threads cheers Rob
  5. Hi all, As I continue to scratch the itch to buy a GT Turbo or Glanza was after a bit of info. I've had performance front wheel drive cars in the past and the inevitably always happens when you add more power - wheelspin and no traction. I've always told myself no point in adding more power if its not useable (although that never stopped me in the past!). I know you can expect a little bit in gears 1,2 and 3 is a bit much! Can someone answer a few questions for me; - Which GT Turbo / Glanza models came with the LSD and does it make much difference? As I suspect an aftermarket LSD will be v
  6. Midland Turbo might be worth a shout. They refurb turbos iirc and shouldnt be too far from you. Not sure what they'd charge though but worth a call
  7. Alex - I think its more about taste as well as performance. TMIC will be fine on standard turbo I reckon and run quite happily and mean straight swap no cutting. FMIC (performance aside) only look good in my opinion if they sit snug under the front bumper and being a man of symmetry i'd probably prefer it to look nice and smooth which would require some fibre glass and a respray. Iid then go for the stick on number plate in the middle of the bonnet (are these legal by the way?) I'm still learning on the Starlets but I would have thought a 'slimeline' FMIC with custom hangers would probably
  8. Very tasteful Adz Any excuse to put your photography skills to the test!
  9. I know that EVO from my EVO forums and have a magazine article on it - Yes its very quick!! Its running 600bhp, 2.2L stroker engine (fully race prepped) Nice piccies Liam - some good finds
  10. HA, HA! Adz, you know your safe there fella Mrs H doesnt mind buying boxes of Krispy Kremes but you wont get her to a show, or in an EVO or Starlet unless shes was desperate for a lift somewhere or her car in for a service. Hi Liam, Didnt realise I knew so many people on here already. Probably enough to do a mini Starlet driveway photo shoot! lol See you in July Ryan!
  11. Cheers all. Looks like I best get my act together and prep the Golf for sale
  12. More votes for the GT over the Glanza then. I must do some reading up. Hi Rob, by the way. Yep I think you've visited us before
  13. Ok a few of the EVO for those that are interested; Last time I took the EVO out was in the Feb snow; General pics; Unfortunately I just left it in the garge for now as needs some major components replaced/repaired and just dont have the appetite or funds to do them yet but will get them done eventually - Turbo wheezing, cracked manifold, gearbox crunches in 2nd and 5th, transfer box whine, rear diff too. Also needs a new battery and the fuel pump is temperamental - So only a few things! When it was working was running around 400/400
  14. Nice fake smile Lottie! Extreme close-up of Adz? Back in my day we used to take pics like that to use up the film
  15. Hi All, Joined several years ago and may one post on behalf of my daugther when looking for a Starlet while up in Scotland. My daugther is a member on here already as a Starlet owner and a few of your crew often frequent my driveway for general gatherings, part swapping, repairs, upgrades etc.. I currently have an EVO IX GT sitting in my garage SORN as needs some significant repairs and drive around in a Golf GTI as my daily hack. Under much persuasion from my daughther I might ditch the Golf for a Glanza or GT Turbo. Since I can't get her insured as a named other on the Golf but probably
  16. You dont say if you are currently driving on your own insurance policy? Are you saying you will have 2 years no claims in September or just 2 years driving on a full UK licence? If its a new policy in your own name with no NCB then it will be expensive driving a Glanza as a first car! If you currently have your own insurance I wouldnt swap until your insurance comes up for renewal otherwise you will loose any bonus you may have for that year. ie) you can only transfer full years, not part years. so if you have 1 year and 10 months now, wait until you have 2 years and then shop around otherwi
