The budget build has gone more and more out of hand and it peaked a few weeks ago when the car was asked to be part of Finland's biggest car show American Car Show / Tuning Car Show 2018 in Helsinki

Good job, looks brilliant! I've always loved these sky blue starlets.
-
Has come so far! Looks brilliant.
-
They're 14x9.5" at front and 14x10" at back. All are ET15, but rear has 5mm spacers to clear the beam and front has 3mm spacers to clear the brakes.

Hi again! Almost a year has passed and all the photos have disappeared.
This is my EP70 from yesterday.
-
So sweet! I need a cage too, damn it.
-
Haha, cool to see more Glanzas from Finland!
I live in Helsinki, but our garage is in Tuusula, near Järvenpää. Drop me a private message if you need to ask anything about Starlets. You can check my Glanza and EP70 Starlet pics here: https://www.instagram.com/ollyollee/
I will gladly help and answer any questions. I'm not a professional, but I've been around Starlets from 2002 so I might know something.
Your Glanza looks good, the coilovers make a huge difference! Keep up!

is it made out of rubber or hard plastic?
-
16x8" ET25.
-
I have the same kit in 34mm, and I think I need 31mm for my Glanza. Wanna swap?
PM me if you're up for swaps!

Sexual ^^^^
Big up bro!
Yeah I remember you.
ET40 might be a good idea. My only concern would be that would the rims touch the shocks. That can be arranged with spacers of course, but then you will probably need some longer wheel studs.
You could put ET25 to front and ET40 for the rear?
-
You just need an adjustable panhard rod for the rears to fit nicely, and some rolling for the fenders too..
-
This is 16x8 ET25 with stretched tires in size 195/40
-
16x7.5" ET35. ET 40 will sit like a cm more in than these. I'd take ET25 instead.
Two more.
-
16x8 ET25 and 195/40 tires. Had to roll the rear fenders and put in an adjustable panhard rod.
-
Cheers mate! That's good to hear.
-
Well, basically yeah that's what I mean.
If I buy a NA rear axle and weld some camber on it, will I have any problems fitting it on my Glanza?
I was just wondering do I have to try to find a Glanza axle instead or would NA axle be as good for it..
-
It's in the title, is the EP91 NA rear axle same as on Glanza? Thinking of rear camber on my glanza, but don't want to ruin the original axle.
-
will be a lexus is200 need more room
I've been tempted to get an Altezza from Japan! Actually almost bought one last spring. I have my yaris t sport now, it's 5 door and quite ok, but I'd love something bigger but not too expensive and not too new. Automatic with tiptronic would be cool.

Here I am again, acting like a self centered d**k.

Nice progress here, haven't been long time here Coilovers passed also inspection easily, no rubbing anywhere? Next summer this car gona get more attention than Your Glanza or Yaris
Thanks buddy. You have to update your rides too, haven't heard anything for some time now. Coilovers weren't marked on the papers yet (a nice inspector ), going to add them next spring. Also I have to get the sills welded at some point as he didn't like my quick fixes. Yaris gets maybe oil change and sold probably Glanza is probably getting forged internals and this one the new sills and a clutch. :DD
Dude that looks so good! That colour really makes it!
Cheers mate! I like it too, although the paintwork is shit but i don't care as long as it's mainly one colour.
looks awesome you should be proud!
Thanks, I am! Nothing even near what you did on yours though. :thumbsup:Good thing I don't have to get rid of this so maybe this will be a minter some day too.
It looks really good, do you gonna keep the 1e engine?
I can't wait to work on mine, i still have to wait one more mounth
Thank you! Yeah 1E for now, maybe upgrading to 4EFE at some point and turboing it but that'll have to wait, my glanza needs attention big time soon. Can't wait for spring to get this on road, wanna go "breaking necks" asap!
Looks so cool! Well done man.
Thanks! Appreciate it.

Looks great mate! ;)

Ok, one last set of pictures for now! Propably have to wait until spring for something new as the car is now on a deserved winter sleep.
So the front lip was still to be modified to fit. I started by cutting it in two as it was waaay too wide for starlet's front.
Had to cut the under side of the lip a bit to get it bending right. Started drilling the holes one by one and guiding the lip a bit by bit to fit good. I put a screw into every hole to keep it in place.
Holes done for the left side. Next was trimming the lip to center of the car and doing the other side just the same.
After getting the lip trimmed nicely and mocked in it's place I took off the screws and riveted it on. The seam in the middle wasn't going to stay even, so put in some zip tie stiches with blue ties. Sits pretty nice.
So, booked the inspection for the car for this saturday. Swapped the winter tires on from my yaris and headed to the inspection. With mixed feelings.
Inspection went quite ok! Just need to fix some more rust, but it still passed. Looked so awful with the yaris alloys. Swapped the bandeds on in the parking hall where the car stays for the winter and took loads of pictures.
This is the spot where she's going to stay until the spring comes.
Blanked on, sleep tight Mintlet!
And the last one for comparison where it all started and where it ended for this year.
I still have loads of plans, we'll see what 2017 brings. Can't wait for the spring!
