Hi Everyone, Just a quick one, looking at getting some 13's but just thought i would check that they will fit the EP82 hubs before i go and part with my cash Don't worry about the offset, width etc. Just need to know that they will fit on the EP82 hubs and not foul on the caliper??? many thanks, Jason

Hi everyone, Sorry this may seem like a bit of a weird question but my GT is not around for me to measure parts from? So..... As some of you may know im building a 4EFTE powered kitcar! Im currently looking at radiator options and think i may have found the perfect radiator for the job, i need a smaller radiator because the kitcar is tiny and can't house a large one! Anyway, does anyone know the internal size of the radiator hoses, or even the external dimensions??? I would go and measure it myself but my GT is currently about 60 miles away and being stripped down as we speak so i can fit t

I will be there guys but not on the starlet stand, sort of bit unfair for me to go with you guys when i technically don't have a Starlet. I will come over and say hi if i get a chance. If anyone is interested project 'Deathwish' will be on the ToyotaGT stand and my lexus will be over with Lexus Owners Club. Jason

*** Update *** Been a busy weekend and have been rushing around all over the place!!!! Saturday..... Went up to see the buggy and started stripping a few bits off it that are no longer needed and are getting sold off. Had to get some new tyres fitted on my lexus and sort out a few more bits. Sunday.... Drove all the way to Oxford to pick up my new little beast, this will be providing all the main parts i need. Engine, gearbox, turbo, ECU, wiring etc.... Got this little beast from Flrecebay for £600, still runs, just has a bent radiator and it looks like exhaust manifold may also be

Like i said there will be alot of development work going on with this. I expect the engine to be in there and running pretty quickly but then will take a while to get it perfected/improved. Getting some 13' 7J wheels with Yokohama A048R's to help keep it in place and getting uprated brakes, not that i needs it with it being so light. I know there is going to be handling issues and alot of development work will have to be done until its as good as it can be. Im still deciding weather or not to use the starlet hubs on front and back??? This makes it 50mm wider all round and then lengthen the

More than likely! Should be fine going in a straight line as its rear engined and rear wheel drive but corners will be interesting! Its going to take a bit of development work me thinks!

I hope so, i have to over quote the predicted weight for the IVA, its fine for it to be over but it can't be under so i have been told to put 720kg..............although come to think of it that might include the driver as well! I can pick up the front fully off the ground myself so it can't be that heavy????? I have seen Nightspirits starlet and it looks sweet, matt black with that huge spoiler..........looks a complete beast. In fact the buggy is probably sat a few meters from his car as we speak Same company that is currently working on his is working on mine Jason
-
Thats right! The back needs to have a engine cover made for it to pass the IVA, so going to make the back covers from clear acrylic and polish/clean up engine to show standard. means alot of work cleaning all the time but its not going to be used most of the time, only the 3 days a year we actually get some sun I like to think im a good driver, don't we all Im not the sort of person to go nuts and drive like a bit of a gimp but having all that power under my right foot might make it hard not too! Thing is if it all goes bad then i have to rebuild it all again so with that in mind will tak

Sounds a little bit better with the intake, the exhaust sounds great when it gets to temperature especially with the straight six
-
Small world! I remember him saying something about one of the glanza's/starlets you had and saying it was pretty rapid. Thanks for info, looks like i will have to keep trauling the uk breakers
-
Was going to go matt black/carbon look but i have decided to go for a bright green (sort of new mazda bright green) reason being is that its so small people won't see it coming and im getting worried i might get side swipped by lorries etc so if i go bright colours more chance of me being seen!!!! Although chance are they will hear it from quite a distance :surrender:

If your defo interested in one i can take you out for a spin at some point??? I need to take more up to date pics when its clean :surrender:
-
Thanks! Im pretty sure it will be pure evil. Going to make clear engine bay covers so you can see the inner working etc and the turbo will sit just between the 2 seats so it will basically suck you brains out through you ears!!! :surrender:
-
No not me???? Most of the engine transplant side of things will be getting done by ToyotaGT, in fact they are sort of sponsoring in the work. :surrender: i Believe they know there way round the engine pretty well so should have no problem with much of it. Jason :drunk2:

You alright Bazza? Thought it was you in one of the eralier posts :drunk2: Think you can probably guess while im on here :surrender:
-
No real data to go on as there is less than 30 of these kits in existance i believe. Have read that its 720kg total weight but i believe that is over compensating for the IVA test and plus the mini has a heavy iron block thats coming out and te starlet one going in. I won't know for certain till its almost done, i will be replacing alot of the parts with carbon etc to get the weight low as possible and im sure i can probably get it below 700kg when done! Jason :surrender:

I think my bro may have been out for a spin in one of your cars back in the day???? Guy called Simon, he had a red Glanza V......probably about 5-6 years ago now. Im just down the road in Marchwood :drunk2: Can you guys get hold of crashed Starlets/Glanza's??? or even front cuts( ie the wholeof the front of a starlet/glanza??? For this project im going to need engine, gearbox, manifolds, turbo, ecu, wiring loom, driveshafts. Might work out better to buy a smashed up one as then i have the V5 as well as that will come in handy at IVA time! If you can source one send me a PM and we can tal

Hi All, Bit bored today so thought i would start a topic of a build Diary for Project 'DeathWish' as im sure some of you might be interested. I think this is probably the best section to put this into as it doesn't really come under any other section, not really a glanza/starlet although i am butchering almost a whole one to make this thing. History: Car was bought by me and a friend last February (2008) off of ebay for £1158. It was originally owned by Essex council and was part of a project to keep convicted chavs off the streets and give them something constructive to do. Needles
