you can actually get L.E.D replacement bulbs for the interior light.they are exactly the same kind of bulb that goes in there but instaed of a standard bulb its a bulb with L.E.D.'s inside it.they are so much brighter than the originals.here is a link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-6-LED-Interior-F...1QQcmdZViewItem i dont know if this is the right bulb i just clicked this up as an example

twats.i hate them!!!!! I cant beleive they took a year to realise this.i think you should have gone to court.after a considerable gap like that the evidence might be deemed unusable. My dad was going to be done for dangerous driving once.he was coming off the motorway and there was two lanes.one to go left at the top one to right at the top.my dad didnt realise this and was in the right lane but turned left.they said he had to do a £150 driving course or go to court.i said go to court as i went down to the junction and took dozens of pictures clearly stating there was no road marks telling you which way to go until you got to the top.he obviously was cleared of the charge and the judge called the policeman incompetant because he took my dads copy of the charge.

Thanks. It feels so much better to drive when i have a sports steering wheel. It feels like im driving a bus with a standard one. Next this week, WHEELS!!!!!!!!!. there is only one person who knows what im getting. I cant wait because they will look great. Next weekend im getting a few bits for the blue starlet then it will be going and im also gonna try and get some black lenses done again. I like it better with them black. Bourkey

Mine is quite loud on full power as its 1000 watts but my mates in total is 5000 watts. its a bit mental. It took us a while to fit it but once we finished it sounded great. It gives me a bit of a headache though. I like it but id never have something like that in my car. Bourkey

Ive just added a few more pics. The sub is big i know and its a 1000 watts but ive only got it on half power. Im not really a bass junkie unlike my mate. As you can see he does like his bass, but my sub will be going and a 10" one going in its place. Bourkey

I have done a few bits and bobs since last week. I've tried to clean the floor mats but the jet washer has decided it doesnt want to work any more so they are cleaner but not as clean as i want but ill sort that out another time. The sub doesn't fit due to the full size spare so im selling the 12" one and getting a nice little 10" one. I've sprayed the centre console and dial surround blue so it matches the rest of the interior. Im going to be getting my new wheels on Wednesday so hopefully they will be on the same day. Here are a few pics to show you what ive been up to And some of my car and my mates car. Bourkey

Yeah your right. I could afford some cheap alloys at the amount it would cost. Never mind. On the plus. My snap off steering wheel is now on my SR. Bourkey

It was so funny. Me an my girlfriend were laughing our heads off. Im guess postage wouldnt be worth it for a set of wheel trims. I'll have to look in a few scrappys then to see if i can find any. Bourkey
-
you will notice the difference when the cars lowered.i sticks to the road better.even with just lowering springs.30-40mm should be just right.or you could try and find some SR ones.ill have a look around the web to see if i can find any.

The indicators that had been done were crap so im having these until i tint some more. I think it looks a lot better with the tinted indicators at the front. I spent a good few hours getting it like that. I polished the windows so much that when i was driving it before i smacked my head on the window think it was open. D'oh Here is another couple of pics. I've got a performance air filter so you can here an induction growl when i set off. It picks up speed really well now aswell. I think the standard air filter was very restrictive. The blue one just needs a new set of wheel trims and a good clean then its going up for sale.might give it an oil change aswell just to keep it running sweet. That reminds me. Any one got a set of toyota starlet wheel trims for my blue starlet. All mine are either broken or just keep flying off. I want the proper toyota ones aswell. Bourkey

I've been quite busy today getting a few more niggly bit sorted. I've also taken a few more pics after i washed i properly. The weather turned out to be great today and the sun is still shining now. With my blue one in the background I've taken the toyota floor mats out and they are currently drying as ive given them a good blast with the jet washer so ill get some pics of the interior when they are back in and my steering wheel is on. I know. Im gonna get another orange set and tint them properly. I would do a clear set but i dont think they wouldnt glow orange enough even with orange bulbs. You cant see the orange once its tinted anyway. Finally got my CD player in today with my front speakers and sub.because of the full size alloy the sub doesnt fit properly so im going to change the fli trap 12" i've got for a 10" sub. I haven't decided which one yet. Ive got a few bits im putting on ebay first though unless someone off here wants anything. Fli trap 12" £80 - Bought for £160 JBL GTO936 £20 - £40 Brand new Alpine 5 Channel amp £110 - £230 brand new All in excellent condition. Will post pics if interested. Bourkey

I've posted a tutorial from another site up to show people how to tint. http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4105 Bourkey

I found this on another website as people where enquiring about tinting there lights like my indicators.follow these steps but you can change it to suit your starlet however you want. Firstly sand the surface around the tape, using 800 grit sandpaper.THe light will not look clear when you sand but dont worry it will when finished now your ready to tint. make sure you wipe the surface youve sanded clean with windex or a damp cloth. PATIENCE IS KEY HERE. you dont want it to drip, the spray is not like spraypaint, it is very thin and can run very easily, ruining your tint job. in case you do ruin your tint job, laquer thinner can remove the tint easily. and you can try again. i did 9-10 passes of tint spray per lens using about 3 light sprays from 16'' away. (the stuff smells pretty bad, stunk up my whole house pretty good, so do it in a well ventilated area.) again, be patient, you wont run out, i did all 3 plus the spoiler light with some left over. this is how they looked. after i removed the tape, i sanded the whole lens again ( yes including the tint, though very lightly on the tint) you want to rough up the lens area primarily so the clearcoat will go on and adhere to the whole lens very well.) again wipe the surface clean from particles, and it should look like this: spray on the clearcoat, make sure you use enough clearcoat to make a good solid base for sanding and finishing the lights. so if in doubt, use more. hold at about 8-10 inches and you can spray the clear coat on a bit heavier than the tint spray, dont let it run though. little imperfections can be cleared up in the finishing/sanding of the lens. here's a pic of clearcoated and back on the car: here are the supplies needed. blue magic plastic and plexiglass cleaner ( a rubbing compound might work as well but i wanted to be safe and this stuff promised an optical clear finish.) 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper a spray bottle with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. now you take the 1500 grit sandpaper and wetsand the lenses. dont really grind at the clearcoat, you dont want to take it off, just enough to get rid of the roughness. be sure to follow up with 2000 grit sandpaper, and always keep the area wet! ( i did this on the car so i taped around the lenses) it might be a bit easier to do it off the car in some better light so you can see what your doing. once your done sanding, clean the surface of particles again, and grab that magic blue! (at this point you might be freaking out because the lenses are not clear again and your wondering if you had just f**ed up) take a paper towel and rub that magic in!!!!! everything will just start to look amazing and crystal clear. use some muscles to make sure you can really buff the compound into the small scratches made by the sandpaper. once done, it will look sexy like this.... Approximate time taken: 9 very careful hours. adding more pictures after i tinted them darker a second time around, this time, my second time took only like 4 hours or so, mostly waiting for the spraypaint and tint spray to dry. i also tinted the sidemarkers using the same procedure.

Anyway i chose surface delivery as it was miles cheaper so it was taking 4-6 weeks. They arrived after 6 weeks and customs have held onto them for a week to "inspect" them. Now parcel force have them and i cant pick them up as im busy so ive arranged to pick them up from Manchester on the 21st. But a bit of violence at customs could have been a laugh . If they take any longer phil ill give you a shout. Copy cat copy cat dont know what your looking at. Just kidding. Glad you like it. Im going to do mine properly eventually. Any way you are supposed to use proper light tinting spray. I'll try and find a tutorial and get back to you. Bourkey
-
When i pick them up on the 21st it will be 9 weeks since i ordered them. Now all i have to do out of my list are: Snap off steering wheel Proper wax to bring out a deep shine Proper interior clean to make it look new Change metal gear knob.(goes ice cold in winter) Bleed brakes as they feel a bit spongey. Fit induction kit. Getting shorter by the day. Bourkey
-
Sorry im not. Im going to be keeping them for winter wheels. I've a full set of five and i know how hard they are to get hold of so i wont be letting them go. If i change my mind then you wll be the first to know. I've just beenn sorting out both my Starlets and everything that was in my old one is in my SR. Except the steering wheel. Its a bit of a bitch to get off so im taking it to my dads work and he is gonna take it off for me. He is an engineer so he has all the right tools at work. I dont think im gonna get to wash them this weekend though. Weather is not improving in Manchester much. Its stopped raining though so ive managed to sort out a few things. Bourkey
-
You are supposed to tint them with spray i think but the ones i had were painted with a brush an a tin. Looks good from a distance but im a bit of a perfectionist so i want them doing properly. I will definately be collecting the wheels on the 21st from a depot in Manchester city centre. So at least i have a definate date im getting them. Before i was just waiting for any news at all. Bourkey
-
I think the black lenses are either love them or hate them. I have taken them off for now and put clear ones on as they look like they were tinted by a 10 year old and a tin of paint. I will be getting some more lenses and tinting them black though because i do like it. Its just personal taste. I've finally found out where my wheels are. Customs have had hold of them for a week or two as they have to inspect them. Im collecting them on the 21st of this month so ill get pics up as soon as they are on. Bourkey

Thanks If its not too cold then its getting a full proper clean this weekend. Inside Out. Its got a cat 1 Toad alarm and immobiliser and when you shut the door with the keys in the ignition it automatically locks the doors. So if i lock the keys in the car im nakered. Good alarm and immobiliser though. To sort out this weekend are (hopefully): Snap off steering wheel CD player out of old car Clear lenses Proper wax to bring out a deep shine Proper interior clean to make it look new Change metal gear knob.(goes ice cold in winter) Bleed brakes as they feel a bit spongey. Fit induction kit. Find out where my alloys are as i ordered them 7 weeks ago!!!! Sort out old car to sell. Bourkey

We have had a few tiny drops in manchester and people were ringing up the radio going "IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!" no its not.ive seen bigger peices of dust falling out the sky. Car parks are so fun in the snow.that is if you can get to the car park.
