  1. Howdy!!! Well this is going to be hit or miss to be honest. If you have to go to court then you might be able to talk your way out of it as if you have the physical evidence that your clutch was knackered and you can get a mechanics report as proof then you may be lucky and get away with it. You will also need pictures of the road to show what you needed to get up. If you don't have to go to court to get the fine and points (sometimes you just go to the station like my mate did) then you will have to appeal it by going to court. It will explain on the ticket the ways you can appeal but in the end it will go to court i reckon. Then you will do the above. The other side of the coin is you shouldn't have been speeding. At the end of the day broken car or not you should not be speeding. You should have got a tow to get home or left your car. It was your decision to try and limp the car home by speeding. Imagine if you knocked a kid over. You wouldn't be insured as the car isn't roadworthy. Look in your insurance terms. It will say something like "it is your duty to maintain the car in a safe fully working order. And can be inspected at any time." Im not having a go at you mate im just showing you how a court would see it. Hope you get out of it mate but next time i wouldn't risk it Bourkey
  2. I really want one of these for that price. I'll see what i can do because this is something i really want!!!! Bourkey
  3. Im with Tommy^^^^. Do it Sparky ;). Bourkey
  4. I had a 1.0l micra to build up my no claims. Was such a mega cool car (debatable i know). Im 22 now and have the no claims to drive the SR as it is now and it was worth the wait.Im gonna have as much fun as i can with this turbod SR then i may change when im 25. I've always wanted a kit car. Im buying a caterham or westfield kit car to build it up myself. I've always wanted to do it but im taking my time as i want to be able to afford it easily and enjoy it. Patience is the key my friend!!! ;) Bourkey
  5. Many congrats mate!!!!! Bourkey
  6. I've got half a day off work for the staff summer bbq at tatton park. We have hired the whole park for the 788 people that are going for a completely free party. Even alcohol is free :P. Bourkey
  7. What ticks me off at the moment is Car tax is going up, I live in Manchester where they want the congestion charge, and now the council are going build themselves a lovely new car park right in the centre just for them. Millions and millions of my hard earned tax is being spent on shit. The big chunk that goes out of my pay every month is being used to pay for all this and it pisses me off. I can't walk around certain parts of Manchester at night as i might get stabbed or shot so why can't money be spent there? Or car tax, why can't it be spent on roads instead of warships. If i ever won the lottery i promise you i would leave this country and live in the south of france. Every road is beautiful in France and they aren't trying to price everyone off the road. The hobby i love is becoming very expensive now. Bourkey
  8. Hmmmm. Is this just a straight swap. What benifit would i get from fitting a CT9 B to my SR? Bourkey
  9. Also get your pics up guys. I know there was a few taking some so chop chop. I get about 4 on my camera phone as my digital camera has decided to stop working. Bourkey
  10. what a bulb. I didn't see it but i heard that and turned see it cracked!!! Bourkey
  11. I'd just like to say this had to be the best meet i have been to now. The weather was great except that 15 minutes of rain. I got to speak to loads of people and meet some faces i've seen before. I hadn't been to a meet in about a year and this was the first 4EFTE'd SR meet as well. Me, Dub Markoos and two mates came up with us after starting at my house and we flew up there. There was around 20 cars there and some top quality motors as well. One guy running 310bhp!!! This was also Mark's first meet and he had a mint time (except when his car decided not to work for 5 minutes). The drive in the hills was fantastic and i was really pleased i could finally open my SR up. Not had a chance for a proper good blast and it was the greatest feeling ever!! All that hard work paid off. Bourkey
  12. Shhhh hehehehe Any way im back at work after a mint weekend. Saturday was spent messing with my car but then i remembered it was my mates birthday so it was cut short as we got loads of beer in and my girlfriend cooked a massive meal for 7 of us. It was deeeeeeeeeelicious. We stayed up late drinking and having a good laugh. Sunday was the West Yorkshire meet. We sorted the cars out in the morning. Dub arrived at mine and had a mint idea to stop my intercooler pipe popping off and it worked perfectly. Then we flew up to the meet. It was fantastic. I had a mint day and it only rained for 10-15 minutes. Drove all the way back home after a trouble free day and my pipe popped off half a mile from home. Didn't care as i had a fantastic day with no problems at all. Bourkey
  13. everyone showing up for this?
  14. At this moment in time i've drank a considerable amount of beer so im pretty drunk. Im also still thinkng of the girlfriend in office gear . Im getting up early so i an sort my car out for hudds and then going to it!!! Bourkey
  15. Don't get me wrong it looks a lot better than the shite looking drums at the back but for the hassle i would bother for only a touch of an improvement. If i did come accross a rear axle super cheap then id do it. Bourkey
  16. Lambo Droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regardless of anyones opinion i love Lambo's. I saw a yellow Gallardo Spyder two days ago and it looked stunning. Do it Idrees, Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bourkey
  17. They will be a fair bit of trouble as the rears are drums. You can do a disk conversion at the back by putting a Glanza or GT (i think) at the back. I involves swapping ll the rear axle. Not massivly important unless your doing trackwork or wanting ABS. The reason being as the braking at the back does only 10-15% of the braking. If you come across a back axle dirt cheap then do it (which i would definatley do) but in my opinion it's not worth the hassle. Just make sure your rear drums are working perfectly and im sure you will be fine. Im sure someone else will prove me wrong but its just my experience. . Bourkey
  18. ^^^^^ do it Rick. Saying that though the body panels will start flying off by the time it reaches that speed. Bourkey
  19. Oh my god i could cry!!!! Im so gutted for you. It was one of cleanest cars around. Im glad you are both ok though. Im really gutted for you. Bourkey
  20. I know i've not massivley changed the outside. Why would i it looks perfect in my opinion. Want the SUV front end at some point. Here is my engine: Before Bourkey
  21. Im in to hiphop/r'n'b and dance mainly. I like the classic dance tunes though not all this new crap thats out. It's too chavvy these days. The only one i like thats out at the moment is Toca's miricle 2008. Thats because it's a mint mix of the old one. And yes i agree the new hip hop/rap isn't to my liking neither. Bourkey
  22. Mint topic!!!! Im at work today. Friday is always really quiet so i get to work at my own pace. My girlfriend has just started working in my place part time, and she is dressed in smart/sexy office clothes so i can't take my eyes off her. . I've got a slight headache as i drank quite a bit last night with my girlfriend. Not realising until i'd drank a lot that it wasn't Friday night it was thursday. I've just written an email to Manchester city council as i have been parking in the exact same spot for over two years and the other day they put a new sign up when i was at work so i got a parking ticket. Im appealing it of course. Im looking forward to the weekend as im washing the car for the Hudds meet and im looking for a Starlet for a friend as i persuaded him to get one last night. Bourkey
  23. Here is my exterior before and after. Feb 07 Today
  24. only just noticed that Rick!!! I bet your amount of lag is considerably more than mine. On the topic of the intercooler pipe popping off I had enough the other night and sorted it good and proper. I found a clamp in my garage that is an inch wide and has a 13mm bolt to tighten it up. It has the stregnth of God in it. The pipe has now not moved a millimeter . Now i just need to sort out the exhaust at some point. Crap backbox welded onto the glanza system isn't my idea of mint. Bourkey
  25. Remember guys that is just a few pictures of about 100ft of the road. It's about 23 miles long. Go on it at about 6am (no traffic) in the dry, in summer and you will never forget it. trust me!!!!!! The drive, the view the feeling. It's just fantastic!!!! I've done it about three times a that exact time and it was brilliant. The first time it was just me and an impreza. I kept up all the way. I sure it was mainly due to him not knowing the road as much as me. I've driven it dozens of times. Bourkey
