  1. Im gonna up the power without a doubt. Im gonna start off with a decat and a mani and abviously an intercooler and a bov. Then i'll just keep getting more and more for it. Im aiming for where you are now but without the forged bits though. Bit expensive for me at the moment
  2. I know they are gonna be the easiest conversions ever. It took me a while to find the guy who built them but after aa lot of searching i stumbled accross him. My dad was really impressed with your car. He has been going on about it all night. He wants me to get mine to that power aswell.
  3. £1000. And many people have said it was a bargin at that price!!!! The buyer came to look at it today and he was pretty dam impressed with it. Bourkey
  4. I had Dub Se7en round today with the lad who is buying the other engine and he has made me feel so confident in doing the swap now. It is simply a case of out with the old in with the new. I might be getting it done at the end of the month but we will have to see. Im so excited about it now. Dub se7en even give us a ride in his beast and even though it wheelspun in the wet weather in went like a rocket!!!!!! Cheers for your help today Ian Bourkey
  5. Id have them in a flash matey but im low on money at the moment thanks to my engine conversion. If you still have them in a month i may take them off you. How much are you looking for them??? Bourkey
  6. That has been around for quite a while now. I remember it from when i first got a Starlet. Im sue he is a member on here aswell. Not entirely my cup of tea but i can appreciate the massive amount of work gone into it. Bourkey
  7. That bonnet looks more bulged than the standard Glanza one. Looks stunning. More pics pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bourkey
  8. Thanks for all your help guys. Im loooking forward to doing it now. I've rounded up the help as well so it should be reletivly easy to do. The loom is already on the engine. There is one or two bits that need pluging in but thats it. Also the engine ignition system, coil pack, and MAP sensor came in a condensation proof box so i'll need to put that on aswell. The only thing i can see me needing is an engine lift, which i'll probably rent for a few days. Im getting excited now!!!! Bourkey
  9. Words cant describe how excited i am. The sooner it is in the better!!!!
  10. Hi all, As some of you know my engine is finally here. But as Alex isn't getting one in at the same time as me it will cost quite a bit to put it in. And to be honest i have spent more than enough recently on this so i need to save some pennys somewhere. I was thinking of doing the swap myself. Im pretty good with tools i i know whats what under the bonnet but is there anything special i may need? My list of things i need goes like this, Couple of slaves to help Engine lift Tool kit Couple of days off work Is there anything else i need to do this? How long will it take? How easy is it? Wh
  11. I hate being fooled!!!!!! Funny though!!! Bourkey
  12. Id give you mine but it has done 95k and i've been ragging the tits off it for the last month as im doing the conversions as well. Also quite a few bits of the engine are already sold as well, like the inlet mani.
  13. Im so happy. All this handing over money and waiting and they are finally here. As for the conversions the loom is aready made for my SR. The person who rebuilt the engines made the looms so they went in UK N/A models easily. So basically they are plug and play!!!! We were going to get them put in by a proper mechanic but that was if we got two done at the same time. As Alex isn't having it anymore im going to have a bash at it myself. I know how to do it but has anyone got any advice that will help me do the swap. What tools etc and things to watch out for??? Thanks James
  14. Unless it's human don't swerve for anything. Break as hard as you can but people get killed for trying to avoid animals. I know it's harsh but its not worth the risk mate. Hope you get it fixed asap mate. Bourkey
  15. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THEY ARE HERE. Im nakered after ripping the box open but here is two teaser photos from my phone. I can't wait to get mine in now. They are are a bit dusty but apart from that they are mint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bourkey
  16. Oh you naughty boy!!!!! (I may be gone for some time) On a serious note my car is screaming for a wash now so im gonna do that. If i get so bored i'll start taking pictures of it and posting them up.
  17. I've been up since 7 as well as i was dead excited!!! I've been e-mailing the guys at work as well as i was bored. I think i may wash the car though. I'll take my laptop outside though so i can still browse in between waxes. The joy of wireless web. And Sparky i did that for the first 2 hours but it got boring.
  18. I've taken a day off work today for the arrival of these engines. So far they have not arrived. I hate being off work as there is nothing to do. I might wash my car while im waiting. Any students on now with any top tips of things to do??? Bourkey
  19. Dam you Sparky!!! I would have had them in a flash. Nice car mate. I can't wait to see what touches you do to it. Bourkey
  20. Yep thats the one. That is another little bit of weight off my mind now. I have two things to get now. Intercooler and dump valve then it's being fitted. Im getting all excited now. I won be able to sleep now until i see it. As for the other engine. It went to a new member called Dean. He hasn't said hello yet but he said he will do in the near future. He registered to ask me for the engine aswell. Bourkey
  21. I've just watched that video now im home and it's mint. Stop getting me all excited....no don't stop actually. @ Sparky - You will br turbo'd one day. I'll be on your back until you are!!!! I've heard there is a magical valve somewhere that allows you to brake on boost, im guessing im gonna need this. Does anyone know if this will be on my engine or will i need to get one. Also could someone put a pic of one up. Cheers Bourkey
  22. Oh well never mind!!! Everything is running smooth again now so i don't need to worry about it. I think it is because i've never imported anything as big as this so if i do it again then i know what im doing. Apart from this little delay at customs i've had no problems at all. Bring on Thursday. Bourkey
  23. Update time I havn't posted an update on these as they have been stressing me out lately. As some of you may know Alex has had to sell his but obviously im still in charge of getting both engines to my house regardless of who the other one belongs to. The shipping company in charge of them since they have got into England have added a load of rent to the orginal £487.22 so the final price came to a stupid £646.70. I've used up the last of my conversion fund for this now so any part i get like intercooler will have to wait until my next payday asi don't want to make myself sup
  24. Ouch!!! Take the bumper off to see what the damage is like underneath. VVVVVVV Also look at my sig VVVVVVVV PM me with the details if you like i might be able to sort you out. That is if you are injured though.
  25. It's a UK N/A if im correct. As for the oil i was just using the first thing that popped into my head but yes there are better oils. Bourkey
