Nope no pictures. Just a twat with a pen thats all. That was the only time i have drove the car since you came up the other week Dub. Pot luck or what. The day i drive it some bulb comes and has a go at me. Don't worry though. Tyres are getting changed asap Bourkey

Im sure if it was the case you could just say your picking something up that required them to be out. Im not 100% sure though so i couldn't say if it mattered or not. Bourkey

Hi mate It's a simple swap if you have all the parts mentioned. Get all the front parts first, get them painted (bonnet bumper) and swap them over. It's all simple nuts and bolts. Personally i reckon i could get the swap done in 2 hours max. Get some pics of your ride up buddy and good luck with the swap. Bourkey

What i did when i was bored last year. Well i say bored, someone was sick in my car and i had to take them all out. Only put the two front seats back it. It's quite a noticable difference. I can understand the worry of having a puncture though. Bourkey

Right, Normally i'd try and get this info from work as i work in a law firm but i can't leave it until Monday. For the past year and a half i have parked in the same place. It is on the completely on the pavement against the wall of a factory on a road near work. The area is a bit dodgy but the owner of the factory like my car when i got it and said he would keep an eye out for it. BUT... Thursday night i approached my car. There was a police Fiesta next to it but on the road. I got in and put my wheel on and started up. I didn't even put it in gear or rev it, i just let it roll 10 yards

If my rear end heals up in the near future after being bummed of all my money for this conversion, then i may stick my name down shortly. Bearing in mind i also need to pay for a holiday and save spending money which comes to around 2K. Apart from that my name might be going down. Bourkey

Smooth. I would have paid to have seen that. We all have our red faced moments. Bourkey.

Your right about that i think but i'll have a standard exhaust spare anyway if i have to change it over. Bourkey

The idea is beginning to grow on me now. I doubt id get pulled over more than i already do anyway. They have a thing about modified cars in my area. They just pull you over to check its the correct person driving and if your speeding of course. I've never seen it on an N/A bodied car (except when Alex did it for a laugh once) so im hoping it will look right. @ Montanajr - Does that not get hot and melt the bumper?? Looks really smart that though. Bourkey

Hi all, It is nearly 2 am and i just had a quick brain wave (you can be the judge) about an exhaust system. I was wondering is there any restrictions on side exit exhausts. Like at MOT time? The theory is that i want a new exhaust when i get my engine in but i also want a decat as well. I've always fancied a front side exit but never really mentioned it. Also how loud is it? Will it always have flames? (not too fussed but would be cool every now and then)? Finally which side do you think i should get it on? Id have a back box (front box) not a simple pipe work system as i wouldn't want it

If there is any doubt leave it alone. Your instinct is telling you to. If i was thinking the same thing then id move on. There is plenty of nice Glanzas for sale. Don't jump on one straight wawy. Have a look around and your patience should pay off. Bourkey

Bourkey replied to RichLee-TBDEV's topic in Midlands Region
Wont be at this one due to engine conversion commitments but i should be at the next one hoperfully. I'd travel from Manchester for 100+ cars Bourkey -
@ Phil - The Fiats on your drive are in a different league to all other fiats. I've never seen a set of Fiats in such good condition. And being car enthusiasts im sure they are very well looked after. I however know of examples of a few that are breaking down a lot and so on. they look after them to an extent. Don't even get me started on Alfa's. I don't care what people think of their reliability. They have to be the most beautiful cars in the world. Someone once said your not a petrol head unless you have had an Alfa. And finally Phil, Tell him to get an Exige. As Rick said, There reliabi

;) ;) Stop being a fairy then.

When loosening a tight nut, soat it in WD40 as Rick said, but give a good smack with a spanner before trying to remove it. The threads wiil have corroded together a little over time and smacking it will break the bond the nut has with the thread. Then give it a go and if you stil cant do it get a garage to do it and then join a gym. ;) Bourkey

Looks like a good show Phil. I also have a secret fettish for TVR's. T350 ohhh Bourkey

I was gonna say the same thing then. What ever you get matey just make sure it's a JDM make as apparently they are the best built. It's what i intend to get when i do my conversion. Bourkey
-
;) very true. Shame their isn't a Haynes manual for the Starlet but i guess we have the EPC we can get hold of anyway. Bourkey
-
Exactly, thats why i agree on the fact that the cars (faults aside) are very good in their own way. I've driven a new Mondeo ST recently and i was pretty impressed on the build quality and the powerful engine . Also it has only had one very minor fault as well. The Lotus really did fall apart though. I was driving along and the lights just popped out of the front when i braked for a red light. I just base my chioce of car on experiences rather than someones opinion. All my friends took the piss when i got my Starlet and even more so when i got my second Starlet and yet now they all lik

Yes i know it wont but i've just seen to many faults with people i know who have owned renaults. It's the same reason i wouldn't own a Vauxhall, Ford or a Fiat. Every one i've known someone to have has had lots gone wrong. I have driven a Lotus Exige that a friends dad owns. It had to be one of the best handling cars i've ever been in but it falls apart all the time and occasionally has electrical faults. Yet i know people that have standard and modified Japanese or German cars and they rarley ever go wrong. My dad sold a 2.2L Toyota Camry last year with over 200k on it and it had never ever

I do agree with Rick on the fact that the clio is a good car...when it works though unfortunately. My mate had nothing but trouble with his as i said above. It's a shame they couldn't iron out these faults with their cars as i would have a clio 197 straight away as they perform and look fantastic. Until they do i will continue to watch my mate suffer with his Megane drop top. I keep telling him one day the roof will be stuck open and it will probably rain as well Bourkey
