  1. Hi guys and gals!! I know that this may spark a bit of debate but as some you may know im doing the 4EFTE conversion with !Rush! (Alex). I need peoples opinions/advice on dump valves. I have been looking at the HKS SSQV one. Is this a good one? Im not too fussed about the dump noise, although it would be nice, but im after the one that works the best, eg doesn't leak. Thanks in advance Bourkey
  2. funnily enough mine was petrol. I did buy the car from Slough though and i had to get it back to Manchester. When i got it home i set about taking off the stickers and the poorly fitted sound system and fitting my own. 1st purchase was the wheels though.
  3. Howdy!! It seems to me that the halfords your going to, they don't really have clue what they are doing as every query you have had with them, they just send you away. I think you should choose a different halfords. Anyway like people have said it should be a pretty simple swap with the need of an iso adapter being all that is needed. You can actually pick it up from 95% of halford stores but you can get them off ebay if you want aswell. But if you already have a pioneer cassette player then i don't thing you need anything but a new cd player to be honest. Take some pictures of behind the he
  4. Thanks again for the comments. Here are some more pictures for you to have a nosey at. Also here are two videos of the engines running during testing. Black 4EFTE Red 4EFTE
  5. @ people who want a group buy - I can speak to him sometime about a group buy if you like and i could arrange it aswell. Remember you can have pretty much what you want like if you sent him stuff he would put it in and he can paint it most colours. @ phil - A LOT of research lead me to him. Very nice guy aswell and very helpful. He keeps you posted every step of the way. Thanks for all the comments guys and gals. We are looking forward to them as much as you so we will keep you posted when they arrive etc. I'll add more photos in about an hour. @ bluebear - just got what you meant about th
  6. I'll let Alex reveal his colour when he is ready. The price does include shipping aswell but the import costs i have been told will be around £100-£120. If anyone is looking to deal with him i'll happily give you his details. It is also better if you order two at the same time as he will give you a discount.
  7. Thanks for the comments. The engines themselves are fairly standard. But they have been completely stripped down and rebuilt using new parts. All gaskets and seals have been replaced, the internals have been cleaned to look like new, the bearings have been replaced, a new clutch has gone on them, and iridium spark plugs are in them aswell. Each external part of the engine has been stripped and painted including the gearbox and also some cogs under the plastic cam cover at the side. We requested the colour for the top of each engine and he can do it most colours. The parts that aren't going t
  8. Howdy!! Not checked this for a while due to being offline for over 6 weeks but what a difference it is now. I remember seeing it in the flesh when you just got it. Im liking the wheels aswell. I'll have to come and see it sometime but at the mo im rushed off my feet with work and getting my car ready for my conversion. I will see it soon though!!!!!!!
  9. Thanks Geo. He has done engines and sent them to locations all over the world. He will even put performance parts on them aswell if you want. Also if the is things you don't need he will take offf and discount accordingly. Like we didn't need the top mount and the standard BOV so he took them off and gave us a good discount. I think he does but im not 100% sure. I'll ask him next time i speak to him if you like. Just incase anyone was wondering the Black one is mine and the red one is Alex's.
  10. @ Joz - Yep you did. It's has been a long process but they are finally ready for shipping. It's gonna take around 6-8 weeks for them to arrive and then there is customs who may hold them like they did with my wheels. And afteer that it's getting them in the two cars. We are ordering two front mount intercoolers and im getting my dump valve for christmas. Alex is gonna order his. As you can see it's the complete package so there is no sensors or piping we have to get as he has chucked everything in the box. We are so excited i can't describe it as we started talks with him in summer and he se
  11. As promised here you go ;) ;) They are still on the other side of the planet but are being shipped on the 21st of this month. We can't wait!!!!!!!!!
  12. Sorry not a pet tiger. Hmmmmm that has given me an idea though. Pictures will follow shortly of what is actually in the box.
  13. Hi all, I've'e not been on that regularly at the moment due to work but mine and Alex's good friend on the other side of the planet has sent me and Alex some pictures for us to drool over. Does anyone want to peek??? ;) ;)
  14. 1998 S reg Black SR More service history than any car i've ever seen. Receipts for absolutley everything (except petrol). Includes all MOT's and Tax disks aswell. Not sure what the mileage was when i got it but it's at 91k now. When i got the car it needed some TLC as it had been garaged for six months. Paintwork was a bit dull from washing with washing up liquid i think. Needed a good clean on the interior. It had a fairly good system but was thrown in badly. It also came with a 4" backbox, Tinted rear lights, tinted front indicators, jump leads (lol), no fear stickers on it (gone now) and
  15. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Black SR. DROOOOOOLLLLL. Sorry i have a thing for black SR's. Yours is another good example. Im looking forward to seeing this one develop.
  16. Two words........ I'll try. Thanks for the comments guys. Im thhinking of putting up pictures of my surprise. I'll decide when it's nearly ready. Im soooooo tempted. I'll also have to ask Alex to see if he agrees or not. Most importantly im now Taxed aswell.
  17. Sorry matey. I did mention i was going to refurb them to sell them though. If you need anything other bits i'll try and sort it out for you to make up for it. Glad to see your Dynamat is nearly off though. Someone told me today you can get it off easier when it's cold. I don't know if it's true though as i've never taken it off. Thank God. Especially if it's as hard as you say.
  18. Here is the photot update at long last. Firstly is the refurbished boot build. All the alcantara was removed and then stuck down properly to give it a better look as it was ruffled before. Mainly due to me having to get it done quickly the night before JAE. And here if you look at the rear window you can see my smooth Punto rear wiper. Doesn't wipe as much but it looks a lot better than the standard one. And at the front you may notice the sunstrip has gone for MOT purposes but another one will go back on soon. I've also done that trick with the distributor. I adjusted it and it do
  19. I would have looked like a nutcase if i had shouted you as i wasn't in my car as i was walking to it after work i think. Anyway update will follow tomorrow. I've washed and waxed my car today ready for a few photos. Oh yeah i forgot to say my car flew through the MOT with only a couple of minor issues like the sunstrip had to be removed. All sorted now and im MOT'd. Whhhooooooo.lol

  21. Yo matey!! Your trying to spot me are you.... Well i saw you in the city centre a few weeks ago. Your car is looking mint. Thanks for the comment on mine. Im gonna post a photo update either today or tomorrow as i've just got back online at home now.
  22. Wow!!!!! Just noticed this topic now and oh my god!!!!!!!!!!! That is just mental and dangerous! Someone could have been killed at the speeds described. Every person is lucky to be alive. I cannot believe someone would risk their own life just to do this. It sounds like a movie scene. I would really love to see what happens to these people!!! Keep us posted as i want to know how this ends.
  23. Hmmm, I've never heard of this timing mod. I might give it a bash to get a bit more beef!!!! Anyway like people have said the corolla mani is a good option as is a better induction kit but the closed ones are the best apparently. Also use better oil, Spark plugs, Ignition leads and as said, Fuel as well. Another thing you could do is put some engine cleaner in the air inlet. I did this using a mist spray gun and it massivly improved my petrol consumption, perfomance and emissions. As for the exhaust. I used to have a completely free flowing system with no middle box and a sports backbox but
