  1. It looks like they are powdercoated. Can't say for sure though but it does look that way. He looks on the web everyday to try and find one to his specification. He is so close to buying one. I can't wait until he gets one.
  2. Smart ass!!!! I'll have another look for the fuse tonight. cheers
  3. Don't worry woody we didn't win it. But he already has half a car so whey ;) The wheels do look really good but i prefer my Buddy's
  4. Hi again. Today me an Alex spent all day sorting through all the bits he got. He gave me the mud flaps as he couldn't be bothered with them so they are now on my SR. He has given the chrome calipers a good scrub up and they look wicked and i can't wait to see them on the Starlet he finally gets. The wheels where also given a good scrubing and they have come up really nice. The is a slight amount of curbing on them but apart from that they are fine. We tried one on the back of mine to see how they would look aswell. The bootlid was quite interesting. There was some computer fans built into it. Im assuming they were to cool some amps down. It has now been stripped of all bits to have the wiper hole and the locked smoothed over. Also a cool little find in the boot lid was a rear view camera!!!! It was hidden in the centre brake light. The power boost valve was given a clean but we are gonna have to find some instructions for it as we have none. The SR dials were in good condition. The clear plastic cover just needed a wipe over. The strut brace also fits good aswell. We tried it out on my car and they work a treat. The rear bumper is yet to be prepped for painting as it has a chrome look sticker on it that has reacted with the paint so its really hard to get off. The Blitz induction kit is pretty good aswell. Given it a clean up and it looks great. We aslo tried this on my car. Unfortunatly Alex didn't get the Starlet he wanted today. I was bidding on ebay for him and i was outbid by £5 in the last two seconds.DAM!!!!! He is gonna get one soon though.
  5. Okay very funny. Edited now. I'll get some pics up asap.
  6. Not bad at all. I think i'll have that. I just wanted one with a new picture of my car in it.
  7. Today i went to collect my doors on my own from Barnsley which is about 35 miles away from where i live. It took me an hour to get there. I spent £100 on two doors and a wiring loom then it took me an hour to drive back. Then i told Alex (!Rush!) who got a bit excited that there was a treasure cave of Starlet SR stuff so he persuaded me to drive all the way back there. Alex then got very giddy when we got there and aquired the following: A full set of 5 Toora 16" alloys with Yoko tyres on them A bumper A boot with TTE Spoiler A strut brace A pair of chrome front brake calipers A blitz Indction Kit Some mud flaps SR Dials with tacho Powerboost valve We filled up my car and his punto with all this stuff and drove for an hour back home. And the total price for all the stuff he bought was..... £250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) The guys garage is now empty and he has got so much stuff its unbelievable. All of which came off a Starlet so it will all be going on his AND And there is a very high chance Alex will be now buying a Starlet tomorrow aswell. I can't wait. Downside. I now have so many car parts in my garage i had to spend the afternoon cleaning it all out so it is nice an tidy. I'll get pictures of all the stuff i bought and he bought tomorrow.
  8. I know i know It would just be temporary until i get the FMIC. I will be getting that just after the MOT. Anyway,Today i've been to Barnsley to pick up two doors. I've only put the passenger one on as my Drivers door is in mint condition and the drivers door i got today was slightly damaged. But now the car looks really good with the new door on as the other one was crap. Im now very happy with the outside of the car ;) I've also aquired another SR engine loom from the guy who sold me the doors so i can get a loom made up for the 4EFTE conversion. So im starting my Engine conversion project now. Going on schedule at the moment.
  9. You can't wait!!! Try being in my shoes. Im counting down the days. 90 to go until the 21st of September. I've got so much to do aswell in so little time. First thing that i can do though is the Engine loom. So if anyone knows of an SR that is being broken let me know asap. Oh yeah would i be able to squeeze the top mount under by raising the bonnet at the hinge? New doors are going on tomorrow and after that i will be concentrating completely on the engine.
  10. I've already taken a bulb out of one car and it was super hard to get back in. Where is the fuse for the airbag as i could try that? Cheers
  11. Thanks for comments on the pictures guys. I've been looking through my documents for my car and i have found out that my MOT runs out on October the 17th. So im going to have the 4EFTE conversion done by then. Now i have a list of things i have to sort out for the MOT. Starter button Working - Done 21/06/2007 Horn working - Needs doing Airbag light sorting out - Needs doing Wiring loom for 4EFTE - Needs doing Purchase of 4EFTE - Needs doing Exhaust modifying for 4EFTE - Needs Doing 4EFTE conversion - Needs Doing MOT 17/10 - Needs doing The engine will be bought on the 21st of september so the conversion will be done a week or two after that. Does anyone know if the 4EFTE will fit under the bonnet of my N/A with the TMIC? It's just so i dont end up super skint when doing the conversion. The FMIC will follow shortly after though. Hopefully i'll fly through the list when i come back off holiday in August.
  12. According to the guy who wired up my Starter button there is something you can get to turn the airbag light off when you have an aftermarket steering wheel. Is this true? If yes where do i get one from.
  13. Sounds too much hassle for my liking. It's not that bad to start stripping the engine myself. If it gets any worse i'll have to do it but the new engine will be going in September if all goes well. And at the moment it is so fingers crossed.
  14. Do you have any rough figures on how much it will cost to fix. Also how hard is it to fix as me and my mate could do it if it is fairly easy. And is it worth fixing due to me getting a new engine.
  15. I have plenty in. I had a very small oil leak a few weeks ago but it has since disappeared.
  16. It seems im having a smokey problem. When i put my foot down blue smoke has started coming out of the exhaust. To be honest i wasn't really bothered about anything that went wrong with this engine as im getting a new one in the next couple of months. But i've heard blue smoke is quite bad. Any ideas?
  17. Hmmmmmm. i may consider this depending on date and price.
  18. Oh suit you sir!!!!!!!!
