this is a wheel on my mates golf - can it be fixed ? can anyone on hee do it or do they know who can
-
hahaha seriously .... it works like that ??? RESTECPA
-
foooookin elll wer'd you find them badboys :D
-
for a td04 i'd use a blue Amjad - the Ultimate does have more features- but that just makes it more complex i had no problems when i ran 1 bar on a blue but it wouldnt cope with 1.5 bar on a vf 35 thats the thing + you can get blues cheap nowadays
-
hahaha get mapped and smoke him thattl shut his mouth
-
as soon as i get them they will be on here
-
yer i know that the motecs and all them other standalones are very good but also very specialised and very costly lol and they do give you a lot of different options - as long as my car can be mapped and will runn correctly as it should do without having any bloody stupid electrial/sensor faults flashed up that arent even there i will be happy ! i think that alot of the time matching the boost to the tune is one of the problems/harder skills to master - especially when your running each aspect by a seperate system - i'm hoping that by having it all being controlled by one individual unit that

Well i was hoping for 1.6 bar whether or not when we get on the dyno it will need to be dialed down or not is the other thing - i think i'd still be happy if i get 1.5 bar it aint gunna make that much difference lol !! yer i had a look at various turbos and the vf series do a variety of different turbo's/ backhousings etc - i mainly chose it for the spool characteristics as it uses a divided thrust bearing and the smaller p18 backhousing - so with the 5e i should have a serious chunk of power with not to much lag - which i think is the main aim for most turbo cars. I ran a td04 on this engin

hahaha matt !!!! ill get u in the boot mate !! yer guys iddy is right its going on a forged 5e gunna run 1.6 bar mapped with a power fc - also this engine is a serious beast and had a grands worth of machine work before it was even assembled it revs fast as foook so it should see over 300 horses
-
As some of you may know i have got a VF35 now which is good for around 350 bhp so seen as i have been in polishing mode i gave the turbo a go today, should have a topmounted mani and down pipe in the next few days aswell which ill post up piks of when done, im also gunna get some custom braided oil and water lines to finish it all off, what do you lot think ? my manifold will also be made in a similar fasion to this one which is for a pulsar but it will be topmounted and externally wastegated ;)
-
i dont think it costs a bomb mate would be worth doing !!!
-
i Started off by soaking it in dot 4 brake fluid believe it or not lol then i used a bit of industrial grade solvent cleaner and that stripped it right off lol it may be a bit hard to soak a set of wheels - why dont you get them sand blasted !!
-
haha i would love to mate but i neeeeeeeed it lol
-
cheers iddy it sure does ! i had no idea wot colour it was wen i bought it lol
-
it was a serious effort mate !! note the cleaner behind "industrial strength" hahahaha
-
a few hours later . . . .
-
faisal just get it re-welded pal with the amount of effort you put into this thread you could have learnt how to weld and done it yourself
-
possibly, depends if the engie mounts are the same, you would need gearbox, driveshafts and maybe hubs too - probobly more effort than overall gain but could be interesting - you'd also have to get the full loom and ecu to make sure it runs right
-
Wheels are beaut !!!

My Starlet GT-T * UPDATE 03/12/12 *
whiteglanzav replied to StarletMad's topic in EP80/EP82 Progress Blogs
looks good mate but if you have got a forged engine i would be no pussy - get the boost cranked up to 1.5 bar - that should sort the men from the boys - you have got everything there that you need by the looks of it ;) -
that does look pretty kool haha
-
there are 2 different rods and those pistons dont specifically look forged
-
are you forging it too ??
-
im gunna give this a blast later and show yous lot how to do it !!!
-
Engine forged about 4000 miles ago + Tappety???!!
whiteglanzav replied to StarletMad's topic in Forged Series
ill just confirm it again lol forged engines do sound slightly worrying "tappy" when cold as it warms up the noise does become less noisy but will still be there a bit
