If your going to a garage for stem seals as i was, you'll pay big big money, better of living with it and buying a forged engine off here. Its big money to do the seals. unless you can do it yourself or pay someone on the side, cheeky cash job for them on a weekend!

T-clamps? Jubilee Clips? Aload Of Shite Really =]
Jae-Glanza replied to Jae-Glanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Thanks mate, I got t-clamps with my kit, there just the wrong size! idiots. =] -
Fitted the front mount & the clips/clamps they supply with the kit are bloody awful. There tighten'd all the way and still leaks, The clip itself is preventing me from doing them up any tighter, not because its tight to the piping! So in theory the clips are too bloody big. Thank-you supplier. *The clips to hold the silicon joiners to the piping* Been around a few local 'nuts n bolts' and none of them have anything heavy duty enough, only jubilee clips and i know to thread themself when you need to tighten it right up. They can order some in but i have to order around 30, and at few quid

Nice one folks, Has anyone gone for a smaller size of just settled for mounting the standard one to the side (if you have a fmic) and if so, what size?
-
just like you, mine's in the window as i've just fitted fmic! better get it sorted then1 ideally i wanted a slimmer one as the standard one is wide as fook! anyone know got a good/cheap number plate site?

What condition is your ct9 mate? i'm after a good one =]
-
Thanks matey, Appreciate that. Excellent communication & speedy payment. Pleasant transaction!

I think the standard black intake crap on the inside of the bonnet would need to be removed and simply extended so its wider. If the standard one was only two more inches to the right it would have been perfect. i've got a fmic now anyway but interesting to see what someone could fabricate!

Just had to put mine bck in the freezer ;o feel like a fatty now!

Wouldnt Mind Some Help Please Guys
Jae-Glanza replied to silverglanza's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Seriously, someone give this lad a break. Track or no Track! I expect there's plenty of people on here with a glanza who race on the roads. I may not agree with it but no point bitching. As above silverglanza, Get it converted to mph and it will automatically remove the limiter, i havent done it yet as i'm leaving it too one of the last mods for when im close to pushing big bhp. p.s, Has the cooler arrived yet? if so, get it fitted with some pics mate! -
I'd be interested in most of it ;p Leads, Actuator, Boost gauge for sure & maybe the Fuel pump and blitz ecu Let me know mate! Again, glad your okay mate

I owned a saxo vts for a couple of months. It's not a 106 gti, but very similar and might as well be. I actually liked it! 48k, 1 owner, standard. so it was one in pretty good shape and it drove nice. But, its still a pug/citroen at the end of the day. Doesnt matter how fast, how nice they are. there still french and thats how everyone see's them. A 156bhp gorgeous saxo vts is up for sale atm, I really like it but it'll never be as fast as a tuned glanza. ''My vts will kill your civic vtec'' - ''erggh, but its a saxo mate''. you know how it goes! you will get insurance on a glanza! do not re

Thank-you chris. I'm Running a Autobahn fmic, Bailey bov + hks panel filter.. i love the sound and happy for it to stay ;p but i was just wondering if something was wrong that was creating it.. Did anyone else notice a difference in turbo whine/whistle when boosting when installing the FMIC. Jae -

Intercooler Arrived And Fitted, Few Q's
Jae-Glanza replied to Jae-Glanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
UPDATE To save making a new thread i thought i'd just edit my original. Today i fitted the intercooler, Fitted in with hardly any bumper cutting! HOWEVER, The turbo whine now sounds completely different, i'm not sure if this is normal or it's the intercooler leaking a little, and instead of a normal blow off from my shitty bailey, it dumps followed by a absolutely lovely flutter! i love in but thought this only happened running a really tight bov or no bov at all. Any ideas? -
I as new chap to turbo's went for bailey, bloody crap on the motorway. leak leak leak. just annoys me! grrr

Intercooler Arrived And Fitted, Few Q's
Jae-Glanza replied to Jae-Glanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I'm pretty sure both sets of piping runs down the battery side of the engine bay. it has the dumpvalve exit right at the top of the all the piping which will result in my dumpvalve being central and at rocker cover height. if that helps folks? I think i can get away with keeping it after searching and a few response from here. Thanks chaps, mucho appreciated x -

Looks identical to the one in the 'removing aircon' guide, which has the fmic fitted before he removed the aircon. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/saxor...ON/P3170014.jpg -
