Intercooler arrived today and going to set about fitting it tomorrow! It came with a belt from toy tuning which i'm pretty sure is a non aircon belt. now I'm wondering if i HAVE to remove the aircon as i haven't prepared my self for that, just thought it would be tight with the aircon in! =] UPDATE To save making a new thread i thought i'd just edit my original. Today i fitted the intercooler, Fitted in with hardly any bumper cutting! HOWEVER, The turbo whine now sounds completely different, i'm not sure if this is normal or it's the intercooler leaking a little, and instead of a normal blow

Do anything to get your 'posts' up mate, ;p ha nice one pal, cheers for the advice + info.

Could anything be done with the inlet manifold? =p
-
I would replace it for piece of mind, why not whilst your at it =] but you could get away with it. so sand sand sand then polish. sweeet =]
-
ohh my god!!, Gutted for you mate! I cant stand people who cause accidents then deny it and try blaming other people. Glad you and the misses are okay though buddy.
-
Ahh thats sound, how would you go around replacing them? bet its a right bugger!
-

Been on this forum a few months now but haven't seen anything pop up about the silver/meshy window tints you can get. My glanza has them and i wondered if they were a Optional extra? & how many people have it? I assume it's a abroad jap thing as I dont recall ever seeing a uk car have it done over here. =] Regards

Mine's standard mate, has a bit of shitty oil on it but standard! =]

x2, Awesome work mate, Fancy doing a cheeky step by step for me and lee? =] i'll have a bash on my week off!
-
SPAMMMER! ;p Can pick up a glanza for 2-3k these days, you'll struggle to find a standard glanza for anything less than 3k though. not many of them around so well sought after!

Insurance will be rather cheap for you on a glanza mate, The tax is 120ish a 12 months and the mpg is very impressive once you take into account the power + bhp potentiol of these things. IIRC, there's plenty of folk on here pushing 180/200bhp for well under 1000 notes. =] If i was in your shoes, i would go for the glanza over the sr/sportif. nothing against them at all just the only expensive thing on a glanza is the insurance and if you were running/insuring a evo 4, then a glanza will cost you nothing in comparison. The glanza is going to be cheap enough without having to go 1.3 non turbbb

Made the mistake by putting 'fit' + 'sister' in the same sentence haha

i'd pay 3k for that =] Reckon you'd make your most money breaking it though, got some excellent goodies on there mate! i'd have your td04 setup ;p

Yea just a sticky shortlist of the companies that insure Gt's + glanza's would be ace, not just for the new people but for people who are after a renewal! there could be a quick an easy list of what insurance companies will cover them! Certainly Save ringing up going through half the details to tell you the Car is not on the system. Maybe even list the website + Phone numbers too! =] Great idea Gary.

Question About Rx7 Top Mount Intercooler
Jae-Glanza replied to silverglanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Hmm, When i first purchased it i was searching the forum to find out as much as i could. i found a picture where someone had put some rubber strips ontop of the cooler to make a better seal. However, i wouldnt bother! once you fit it and close your bonnet, put your hand in your scoop and you'll feel that its a perfect seal anyway. So i really wouldnt bother mate! -
Enzo, i'm running the excel g's now with some teins. would my excel g's be suitable for going even lower, i.e 60mm?
-
is it in km or miles? if you think you'll want to stick a glanza kit on a n/a then i'd say its worth it + i'll buy the buckets for you to make some money back A decent glanza kit is easily 500 once you take the bumpers, side skirts, headlights n grill all into consideration. So you could buy a cheaper n/a but end up spending more sourcing a glanza kit in the long run. I've had both vauxhall and a 20 year old Vw on 180,000 miles. Unless its french a well maintained engine will be fine.

that sounds fantastic!

Glanza V Normal driving - 2-3k Depends what I'm 'racing' to be honest, If its a tight one i'll take her right up the revs. If some saxo furio comes side by side at santa, i stick too low boost and launch in reverse. you know what i mean ;p haha
