So im looking for a g6 box. Will the ae111 box not fit?
-
Im looking for info on this.
I need a diff and im thinking why not get a 6speed ae111 box they have a factory lsd.
I know the ae111 box isnt the stongest but im sticking with a ct9 and im not hard on boxes.
Is it only a matter of changing the bell housings?
Will the shafts fit?
Any and all info is well come.

Do you have a exedy clutch by any chance?
-
how do you think its fitted mate? superglue?
its a genuine one for the ep82, with the bracket and all, which says clean box on it. in the italic text that is on other starlet option extra's, i.e the little glanza din "hidden box"
i see yours has no writing on it? assuming the glanza one doesnt have the writing, or maybe yours isnt genuine?
my passenger footwell is quite busy aswell, genuine mats, flare, clean box, and underseat tray offcourse.
Its clamped in place. With the metal bracket in the pic.
Mine is geniune just no writing and i seen pics of another ep91 storage box and that didnt have writing either.
Its just different to the ep82 box also it fits different.
Tbh its a pain for the passanger as it gets in the way takes your leg space lol

Ep91 storage box
Its 3 pieces. 1 the box 2 the piece the box clips to and 3 the metal bracket.
Rear brace
Trd dial surrounds
and window switch surrounds
also have trd center consol. Not fitted as i dont have a double din radio yet
There all factory option extra.

see who else has got one of these, i see phil mentioned it, but never seen a pic of them
flare, underseat tray, and clean box in this pic, and i think they mats are originals, but not sure.
ive also got a rear sun visor for the boot window, not seen another of them either.
I have one of them here took it out of my old glanza S before i sold it. I have the brackets and all.
If you want a complete pic with all the parts that i comes with pm me
I must say its very annoying for passangers with one fitted!

Currently running my GT @ 1Bar on ct9 with hks fmic, cat back exhaust, gutted cat, ported ct9 mani, air filter at front grille, hks actuator & fpr. Am planning on myabe pushing it to 1.2 in the future as i will be going TD04 but it aint being fitted til my ct9 dies.
So how much boost can i run on a jam fcc, fmic, hks acutator relocated air filter, cat back, decat and a sard fpr? 1.2 bar?

Toms grill.
I got a broken grill with my head lights so i decided to make a toms rep out of it. It was poorly repaired before so this made my task a bit harder!
Bars cut out
Grind away what left of them.
Meshed and filled it with fiberglass
After some filling and sanding
End result
Done some more work on the bumper
Nearly two tubes of fiberglass gone in so far lol
Next up straighten the chassis.
Only needed a small pull but took a while to get right all the same.
Also i had to do the drivers side from where the car got a tip before and never repaired.
I have nearly spent more time on the drivers side today getting small breackets repaired from a minor tip before which was fixed by a cowboy!
Still have to get the headlights fitting right but just involves lots of time and patience.
Here how it looks now 90% there!
Done some work friday night and saturday. I got the headlamps to fit some way right after a lot off tweeking.
As you can see the grill can go in place now.
There is still a few hours left to do with the headlights trying to get the gaps perfect.
Some more work on the bumper nearly there.
Got some parts during the week.
Tanabe suspention
Headlamp connects.
Old ones some how got broke.
New wind deflector.
Old one was missing.
New crash bar.
New ariel
Glanza rad. Its mint just needs a quick lick of paint,
Glanza rad v gt turbo rad.
Gt rad is on the bottom.
Updates
Did some more pulling. Slam panel need to come foward 3mm so i wasnt do things by halfs.
Say hello to my friend again. lol
Doesnt take much to pull it was its very light...
More work on the toms bumper
First i wanted to be able to bolt in the fogs.
So i butchered the old bumper and cut out what i needed.
And fiberglasses them to the bumper.
Also there was a gap between the grill and bumper.
So cut out the piece out of the old bumper and fiberglassed that too.
After some fillers
Sanded down still rough.
I came across a mint rear cusco brace silly cheap. So i couldnt say no to it.
It arrived today. Im very happy with it and couldnt get over how light it is!
Started on the wing two dints in it.
After some grinding the paint off and a bit of fillers.
After sanding
And some more sanding
Got sick of sanding so i decided to make a new battery clamp.
As you can see old one is knackered and looks shit.
New material stainless steel
Marking it out.
Cut out roughtly too ages done by hand.
Done
New v old
On the battery
Came up to a high shine cant really see it in the pics. After spending 2 hours making it i
dont know if im gonna use it. Its made out of 8mm stainless steel and weights a small ton!
Latest pics of the front
How the car stands at the minute goodies should arrived during the week so stay tuned

Here is a pic of my ep91 and my bros dc5 enjoy
-
Nice project its like mine how much did u pay for that bud and future plans ??
Got it for 650 euro. I have intercooler got and a few more bits have to wait and see Im sticking with the ct9 for now gonna see how far i can push it.
-
Lots of nice work going on here, lovely to see another Silver one around!
Seeing you guys repairing these GTs makes me wanna keep and repair mine now, dilemma
There is so many been broke for parts here at the minute its crazy wont be a hand fully left in ireland yet.
Thanks mate its a real ression project. Its sucks in a way i wanna do stuff to my glanza too
-
Right i have always wanted a ep82. I found this and saved it from been broken.
Plan is to make it into a cheap track and drag car. I have my ep91 for everyday use.
Copied from another website.
Right lets get things started.
The car had a small bang at the front so i looked like this when i got it home.
So it got it home and started stripping it
The one good head light and the brackets are broke and bodged together
Sad looking gt bumper
Rad, spots and grill removed
So after removing all the front it looked like this. Needs a small pull but nothing major.
Over all the car is in good condition except for the damage. So its a good base car to work with. Engine seems strong and not one bit smokey. Its fairly standard.
There is a small bit of oil around the rocker cover
That due to a garden hose as a breather pipe! Please note the nice kink!
I wont have a chassis dozer for a week or two so gonna start doing other small bits
First remove air con.
The air con rad is already removed but the compressor is still there? Its the heaviest part of the system lol
Now on to the inside of the car its fairly clean inside bar the mk1 gt seats.
And this steering wheel. Im gonna have to replaced it so if anyone has one going cheap and in good nic pm me.
Hks turbo timer
Some dodgy wiring soon to be sorted
When i removed the bumper i found 3 horns and only one worked?
So i binned two along with some shitty wiring
Some more shitty wiring. Soon to be sorted also.
I got two radios with the car and a cheapo air filter.
The car also came with lots of trd stickers.
Boot rust free and straight happy days
Aircon removed
As you can see loads more room to work on the car. Lot easier to remove the turbo and oil filter. I also removed the oil filter tray.
Removed the rear wiper and motor. It was rusty and horrible looking also saves a bit of weight too.
Wiper and motor out.
Grommet fitted and sealed. Also mananged to pop out some of the dent.
Parts out and soon to be binned. If anyone want them pm me.
I decided to check over the turbo and got a few surprises tonight.
First i opened the bolts for the ic pipe between the intercooler and turbo they were loose so it was loosing boost there. So i took off that pipe and found this!
Someone tryed to block to the pipe with a screw and to be honest i dont know what it is?????? Also the clips holding the ic rubber hose to the trottlebody was also loose...
Good news turbo has no play. Might take it off tomorrow to inspect the manifold as its leaking somewhere
More updates
Took off the drives side wings to inveastage it. I knew it had been replaced and i seen rust so i investagted i know it was a case of a poor repair but i was shocked on how bad the repair was!
The panel is fucked and it was a irish spec wing. Good news is that behind it is perfect and lucky i have a new one here. I dont mind because i want the car mint and its only about 80euro to spray it. Which i think is a small price to have a mint car and that the car will be when im finish with it.
Some more good news. I picked up a new bonnet. Needs a bit of work. Good few dints in it. I have loads of time on my hands anyway.
Mint new lights and clear indicators
I got porting a spare manifold i have lying around.
I took a bit much off. lol
It will be ok because its under a stud and shouldnt have any problems.
New wing.
Needs a small bit of work but lot more soilid than the old one!
I took off the rocker cover to get powder coated and found the head full of gunk! So after a bit of clean the head looks like new.
I have no pics of before i cleaned it but here is some of the shit that came out!
I scraped some of the stuff off with a knife and it came off in lumps as you can see.
Head is as good as new now. I will be taking off the sump in a few weeks cleaning that along with turbo oil lines and so on.
New shorter power steering belt. As i removed the aircon.
As the car stands at the minute.
I finished porting the manifold tonight.
As you can see 80% of the restriction is gone.
Gave it a quick spray. I didnt spend much time doing it as it will only burn off anyway.
While i was up a japfest i sourced a few bits
New gt seats need a good clean but not in bad nick.
Hp raid wheel and boss kit.
I collected my powdered coated rocker cover off jeff in tallagh powder coating. Thanks to him and a sound chap to deal with.
Also a big thanks to jay for the toms front bumper!
http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss239/c...09/DSC00235.jpg
Right started the body work today. First was the toms bumper.
Removed all the fillers
Filled it in with fiberglass
Lots more to be done to the bumper yet ran out of fiberglass lol Lots more pics to come of repairing the bumper in the next few days
Next was the bonnet. Its was repaired poorly before and lots of dints in it!
Grinded off the old paint and fillers and was in good nick underneath!
Fitted to the car and getting the graps right before i started filling.
Its actually starting to look like a car again lol
First coat of fillers
After it was filded and sanded
Nearly done.
Bonnet will be finished tomorrow. More updates soon
Any and all comments welcome.
Shane.
