  1. Well had the day off today so done a few bits and pieces on the front cut

I finished off stripping the passenger side hub

However it wasn't straight forward, after spending ages trying to split the driveshaft from the front hub. So I ended up spliting the driveshaft and leaving one end in the gearbox

Split hubs from lower arms and dropped them off

Then repeated on the drivers side

    All removed parts

  2. where the hell do i start today...

BadgerSports Enterprises in association with Jay's Garage and Ceiling Cat (that cat on Jays roof that oversees our work), presents...

    Project BadgerSport!!

all went VERY well today, got the FTE removed and partially deconstructed and its currently hanging from an engine crane safe and sound. the engine looks in really good condition, as does the turbo, nothin out of the ordinary goin on, just needs a darn good clean! so far so good.

i have also returned home with possibly one of the rarest parts i have ever encountered to add to my collection of OEM options.......are u ready?? a felt covered coin holder that replaces the ash tray!!!! its awesome!!!!!!! Jay has only ever seen one other before and believes that they are from the ep's that came with the no-smoking signs in them!

I've got a pic of it at home so i'll try to get that uploaded over the next few days!

all i have to add right now is...Jay my friend, I dont know wot else to say other than thank u for today! simple as that!!! thank u mate!

    Phil.

Well done mate really pleased for you :) A bit more JDM goodness and a rare one at that :harhar:

Looks like you'll be boosted well before me :) Oh well

  3. I have bought FTE Racing Valve Springs and a full Toyota 5EFE gasket set from Sam@ Speedvision.

All of Speedvision's items come from the US.

As for turbo wise I'd wait for a reply from someone who has bought one.

If you are after more techical info on that particular turbo I'd email them direct on their website.

Overall they provide a good service and have found they have good comms/response time.

With the current us and jap exchange rates there are hardly any savings to be made anymore.

I have bought my ross pistons and pauter rods from Sam, I cannot say a bad word about him. As Joz said he had excellent comms and response time, but with current exchange rate its not worth buying from the US at the minute

  4. Just a quick update..

After speaking to a guy from Competition Supplies at the Autosport International Show in early January I have decided to fit a Tilton Pedal box. Unfortunately the pedal box has only just come out and hasn't reached our shores yet. But I already have my order in and it should be here in early April ready for the shell going for it's cage.

Anyway here is the catalogue, the pedal box I'm getting is on pages 2 & 3

  5. Westy's and Yorkie's on the other hand, what a waste of space fucking dogs

Watch what you're saying Lewis :)

We have a Westie and he is a lovely dog and as people have mentioned they were raised to be hunters

    Kara,

Your dog didn't do anything wrong sweetheart, if the other women's Westie hadn't snapped at your dog it would never had happened. If that situation had happened to us we would have picked our dog up and that would have been the end of it!! As you say you don't put your hand between 2 scrapping dogs ;) :p

  6. Yeah i'll be saving for a few bits including one of them. My arse is still healing from all the housey items i've been buying. I know it will get better i just need to settle in .

    Bourkey

Well we've been in this house for nearly two years now and things still haven't settled down yet. Hopefully we'll get settled in the next 12 months

  7. Nath im nearly crying because i can't get one of them. I've been waiting for one to turn up since i got this SR. Now i've moved into my own place. Having my own place has massive plus points but as you can see it has it's bad points .

Asda you coming to the meet tomorrow??

    Bourkey

    Bourkey,

I feel for you buddy, but houses are the reason my car is not finished yet(well and a wedding and stuff). It'll get better though matey

Start saving your pennies now and you can buy one :)

  8. Well here's tonights update

I have removed the heater matrix

    Progress290109007.jpg

Then I removed the brake and clutch pedals

    Progress290109008.jpg

    Progress290109010.jpg

Only the steering column and the gearstick to remove and the interior side is finished

    Progress290109011.jpg

Started to take apart the front hub assembly, but as it hasn't got a damper attached to it I was fighting a losing battle. So I've given up for tonight, I'll fit a spare damper I have in the garage tomorrow and I can get the drive shaft nut off then I'll take the lower arm off :(

  9. Not much of an update tonight

I have removed the dash loom off the dash as seen in the first picture from last nights pictures, also started to take all the nuts off that hold the heater matrix in place.

Tomorrow night I will take out the heater matrix, remove the steering column and that'll be about it for the interior side of the front cut. I'll then take the ARB, hubs and the lower arms off then the last thing to remove will be drain the gearbox and remove the drive shafts and then I'll be ready to remove the engine fom the front cut :(

My offer of help still hasn't arrived yet, in the mean time I'll struggle on on my own :) (don't worry Phil I know you come round every night if you lived here!!!)

  10. After removing the mesh from my rear JAM bumper, I didn't like it, so searched around for a specific size of mesh that would accomodate the hole in the bumper and offer similar sized diamonds to the mesh in the Cruise bonnet. I found some from Shiny Autos and promptly ordered it, as most were only a metre wide and the gap in the bumper is 112cm!

Problems! I ordered on oct 24th, after a month I hadnt received anything, so emailed the shop, to which I was told sorry assumed they had arrived, they then chased up Royal mail and got a refund for themselves as the goods had been lost. hey then say they ordered me another one, this whole time the information on their website about my order remained 'Pending', that was Nov, I have since emailed several times and called the owner's mobile on many cases with no response on either.

What can I do? Want the mesh, so does anyone know where I can get some and how do I go about getting a refund? Trading standards?

    Cheers for reading guys

    Si,

I would contact Trading Standards, I can't remember what the time scales are(I think if it hasn't arrived in 7 to 14 days) At a minimum you can ask their advice or you could get them involved and resolve this issue.

As for where else to get it, there are plenty of places on the internet that sell metal. Just do a search :(
