Bout time the rad turned up!!
That going to be user friendly for whatever tubby set up you will be using?
Yup, as I'm using a SARD K26 setup which'll fit behind a standard radiator
-
Got some bits through today, really pleased as I didn't think they were coming
Some of you might recognise this radiator
-
Still got the same number dude? 590 on the end
We will be in the service park on the friday I expect, also watching the jet fighter going over on Thursday
Loeb is unbeatable
Yes mate same number, we'll be across at the service park on Friday night, probably Saturday night as well as we're not going to the Millenium Stadium
Travelling down on Thursday as Alex's got an exam in the morning
Otherwise we'd have been watching shakedown
-
Anyone going to watch this? I know Starlet Nath is, probably meet up with him in the service area
Should be pretty good, we are going to see what stages we can sneak onto
Prices are rediculous to be fair and I doubt the weather will be very good (to watch on the stages anyway) the weather always makes wales rally GB
Havent really been following this year but im sure Loeb is on for the championship again
I will be there, and Seb Loeb has already become world champion after the last round in Japan :harhar:
But I'll still be routing for Petter Solberg & also Chris Atkinson :harhar:

The Kerb weights for the EP91 from the Spec book from Toyota are
1.3i, S & SR are 830kgs
GLS is 845kgs
But if you want to know your weight since you stripped it then take it to a weigh bridge

Looks nice buddy, well done

Hey mate,
Yeah 4 weeks for our TT full Antilift kits, 3 weeks for ARB Poly Bushes, 3 weeks for Poly Rear Arm bushes and the others will be shortly after that. Doing every possible bush in poly. I personally would not bother using any camber or toe on the rear waste of time for what is invloved just get some negative camber on the front, some positive castor and go from there.
Edit: If we can pull 3G's through the corners without rear adjustments so can you
T
Well I've got a Whiteline antilift kit so I'm alright there, but I haven't got a poly bush for the front of the control arms yet!! There is a company that does them, just haven't been arsed to order it because they do sizes and I'm not sure which control arms I'm using!!
As for the rear beam, I was gonna leave that til I've got it up and running. After what you've said I'm sure it'll be fine
Just wish I didn't have to go to work and could just get on with the car
Any sign of the brakes yet dude? Might need them parts back just after xmas when it goes for it cage
-
Just my 2c And Nath great progress by the way love seeing them in the flesh! Hope you get that wheel sorted as well buddy I'll keep an eye on this sorry for spamming the thread but leave the rear axle as it is!
T
No worries Toby you're not spamming my thread.
Was gonna get some TRD bushes for the rear beam as it is anyway, but I understand they're not making them any more? When are your poly bush kits coming out?
The idea of making a new rear axle is so I can adjust camber and toe in

nice like a rotisserie lol
I tend to think more like a spit roast

Alright peeps,

i never got a keyring nice mods tho man, hows the car taking shape?!
Well it's coming, but slowly unfortunately
Other things are going off in the back ground at the minute so I haven't worked on it for over a week.
Next step is to go buy some metal for making my frame to spin it over. Then I don't have to lay on my back to clean then weld the floor pan
-
Look whats come today from RHDJapan
Power Enterprise Timing belt, Sard 550cc injectors and some Cruise valve springs. Also got a free cruise keyring
Got excellant service from RHDJapan can't speak higgly enough of them, top guys

Look whats come today!!
For those who don't know, the smaller bottle is Bilt Hamber Deox Gel which turns rust into lovely fresh metal!! Then I've got some etch primer to put onto the fresh metal
-
testing upload of pic!!!!
hope this works, the front plate is now mounted but i need to edit the pics for those first, try this tho, TRD decal and bonnet raisers.
Phil.
Looks beaut Philip
Really love it and the subtle changes to the front end like the removal of the number plate support plate, the vertical bars and corners smoothed on the front bumper oh and bonnet badge removed/smoothed. Its those little things that can just set a car off nicely
-
y0 dude good to see you making some progress again! loved all the pictures of your recent work from september onwards
looks painstakingly tedius, if the hold build is a reflection of what you have done so far then this should be really special.
it should be amazing on track!
how hard is it to change a roof skin?
Cheers Geo
Well I'm hoping it'll be something really special
As many will know my car has been off the road for 3/4 years now and the idea of what I wanted to do has changed so much especially over the last 12 to 18 months. My idea has gone from a turbo coversion with a new paint job to be a show car, to a track car but not just any track car a balls out bold idea utilising ideas I've picked up from a number places. But the 3 main things I am doing that are different to the norm (in the UK starlet scene) is seam welding the shell, changing the roof skin and finally have a profesinally install MSA (Motor Sport Association) Blue book approved weld in cage.
But just to point this out to people that I have never done anything like this ever before, the most I've really done is service my old cars, changed wheels and suspension etc so nothing on this scale.
Back to your question about the roof skin, I know what I have to do to change a roof skin but as to how hard it is I will tell you once I have done it!!
