Good stuff
Will hopefully see her at JAE 2010 then?
If I'm luck I'll be ready for JAE 2009, if I'm not so lucky only the shell will be ready and I could bring it on a trailer

nice project u got there what colour you going? i notice the spoiler is midnight purple!
A very nice colour it is too
However as it will be a track car and not really a showy car I am going for a straight Toyota 205 Black exterior, thinking of maybe a different colour for the interior but not sure??

Good to see parts making their way way onto the car
Got an rough idea of when abouts she'll be finished?
Well MJ,
I know I sound like a broken record but I'm gonna get it finished this year. After a trip to the autosport international show we are now refocused on where we are going, a few more parts to obtain before it can go for its cage and other bits doing but its now taking shape. Might have to call in a few favours and get some labour in to give me a push (you know who you are )
-
Looks smart that. Be good to see when more parts start going on it.
By the way his name is CardHore not HardCore....Something on the mind .
Bourkey
Whoops should have checked
And Bourkey you could be right buddy

Liking the STACK dash idea. Its the first 1 i have seen on a starlet.
Also how r u going to atach yuor spoiler onto the bott lid?
Kepp up the good work
It is a Glanza bootlid so it attaches in the way it normally does mate. It slides down onto some clips and then there are 2 bolts that go through from the inside of the bootlid into the spoiler.
Thanks for your comments

Went way down South yesterday to James's(HardCore) house which was in Hartly, Kent.
We picked up his boot lid as this is one of the few parts I didn't have!!!
Anyway here are some pics of it on the shell, I had to fit it as there is no reall room to put it at the minute, oh and I have finished fitting the sockets in the garage today so I won't be stuck for electric in the garage now :surrender:
Anyway here are my pics
Thought I'd stick the spoiler on to get it out of the back bedroom, well happy now :surrender:

Absolutly awesome work mate!!!
Cheers Liam, I hope I'll have it finished to show everyone what I've been messing about at for the last few years. I hope you'll all think it was worth the wait

I have grown to love the looks of the GT
But my heart belongs to the EP91
-
Ah right I see fair play mate Kevin thinks it's 3/4" and says it should be stamped on it, don't have any in stock so can't look.
Just to let you know I looked at the spare one I had in the garage that came off my 4EFE setup and that has 5/8" stamped on it.
Cheers

After my trip to the autosport show I had a parcel arrive today
I spoke to a nice gentlemen on the Millers oils stand and I now have a running in oil and then my first lot of proper oil
-
I'm not 100% Nath I'll see if Kevin knows as I'm not very mobile at the moment.
Are you making a custom one? Stock one should be okay though unless comething else.
T
Alright T,
What's this about an accident? Are you o.k?
As for the info, I am installing a floor mounted pedal box in my car as part of it's rebuild and require the bore size so I can get the correct size master cylinder for my setup.
Cheers
Nath
-
Alright Peeps,
Does anyone know what bore size the clutch master cylinder is?
If no one knows I think I have a spare in the garage I can butcher to measure
Cheers

I don't mean to upset you, but do you know what OEM means?
It means Original Equipment Manufacturer, so if you were buying OEM parts you would be buying Toyota parts.
Just thought I'd clear that up, but some parts I buy direct from Toyota but other parts I would buy from my local motor factors
When buying oem parts for the car what brand do you go for and how much do you look to pay? do you buy online or motor factorBlueprint
Mintex
Hamp
Ngk
ect...
e.g
Brake Pads
Oil flter
fuel filter
air filter
alt belt
timing belt
clutch
ect...
what oil do you prefer?

ohh my god!! a stack display... described in 1 word: AWESOMENESS.
Well I priced up putting some Defi's etc, and for what I was going to have to fork out for them I could easily afford a Stack dash display which gives me everything I want plus I can put alarm set point . But I wanted a seperate boost gauge, so I'm going for a Stack boost gauge which has stepper drive.
I plan to get all my bits done and get all the parts I need to send it away with for its cage and other bit by the begining of April, hopefully I will have it back before the end of April and it can go away for paint. Then the fun begins

Here's the layout of my dash as I see it

how is the deadline going mate?
Well I have deadline to work to before it goes in for its cage, after going to the autosport show I have decided what pedal box I am going to use. As it is new on Tilton's product range it is not in the country as yet, but will be in the begining of April.
Sockets are nearly installed round the garage, they should be finished tomorrow. Was planning to get some metal for my roll over spit this weekend, however I going down south to pick up a bootlid instead.
Now the engine crane is built I can look at taking the engine out of the front cut (finally some of you might say!!), this means I can get rid of all the metal work, put the engine and looms on a smaller pallet which will give more room to work around the car
I have decided on seats, harnesses, pedal box and who is going to install my cage for me (DJM). But the next big decision is do I go for a fuel cell or not?
-
Thought I'd build up my engine crane today, only had it since October!!!
Now its built I can look at moving the front cut and getting the engine out of it.
Went to the autosport international show on Friday, talked to many interesting people and made lots of decisions about the way forward. We even had a personal helmet fitting session with Nicky Grist (Colin McRae's co-driver) and his missus, Stilo helmets rock
Anyway here's some before and after shots of my engine crane

Well i wouldn't say he was on here very often but there was a member over on TGTT called Glynn i think who was killed driving. There is a RIP topic for him over on TGTT. There is also a topic created the other day for the brother of a member killed out driving.
Take care out there people.
Bourkey
Yeah Glynn was a lad from Doncaster used to have a GT.
He unfortunately lost control of his car (think it was an MR2) which resulted in his death. RIP

But technically you've not actually told people her age, "for almost 30" she could 29, 28, 27, 26, 25 it all depends on your point of view
If you're in Worksop you're not far from me then, I live in Rossington and I'm mates with Rob Bower
Nice pictures by the way
