-
i payed £180 from argos, its also in jessops as well for the same price......... thing is you will need to buy a memory card as the internal memory is, well its shite. lol. but i got a 1gig card of ebay for £15. so not to bad at all really. i also got a tripod from tesco for about £10. theres alot of pre set modes so if you want it can be a point and shoot job. so it cool for begginners like me but the shots i took above i played around with settings and stuff. its just a case of reading lots info and practice.

the camara is a fujifilm s6500. and i think its class. a few more then why not.......... bit more focused on the car other than the background.

ok i know there is the insurance section but i thought this may be very helpful for me and maybe others. if glanza owners can post up which company they are with, whether they recognised the glanza with no problems and also a telephone number and if you feel like it your ncb and age and price. im gonna ring around a few companies and want to make it as less stressful as possible. ive looked through the insurance thread but cant really find any one who is in my situation. 21 with 2 years ncb or any numbers and stuff. if the mods want to move this thread its no problem. i put it here so more

im learning a little know thanks lads. im sure i will hastle some of you when i start playing around with settings. lol. ive seen a camera which im gonna buy now. it seems to be the upgraded model of the one lobo recomended. its a fuji finepix S6500fd. it looks the dogs bollocks. its in argos for £280 and i found it for £179.99. a little out of my budget but i think it may be worth the little extra. i may pick it up at the weekend. what you think?
-
lobo would that be the camara you used to take the photos of you and geos cars?????? if so im nipping tesco now!!!
-
thanks lads. so do you think the olypus would be worth the money? like i said i am on a budget so the camaras a would like are way to far out of range, so i want a kinda compramise.
-
welcom mate. im from notts also so keep an eye out for me.
-
no probs mate. at least you did not mess up the bolts then you would have a massive head ache. i messed up both sides, had to go running to my dad to get his tap and die set out to re thread them and then had to search around lots of hardware places to find matching bolts. what i thought was a two minute job turned into a 3 day nightmare. and thats what you get for rushing to fit it during the 10min half time of liverpool vs chelsea!!!
-
it makes sense mate. this is complex as hell and it took me ages to figure out how to get it right. lol. i will do a quick how to from memory. 1) remove both mounting points from the brace. just them two bolts, so you just have the blue things 2) attach these in the car both sides. look at my pics to get the right angle. !!!WARNING!!! be very careful not to go in at the wrong angle or you will completely fuck up the bolt and hole, if you do this you will probably cry. i did. then have to re thread the holes and get new bolts. 3) adjust the bar so that it is really short. 4)attach one side

i cant say about the legality of doing this but, the plastic things are just to hold the seat belt at a certain level and this way they are in the same place, also the seat belts still work fine as i have tested them and they still run smoothly and stop when jolted. this was the only solution to the problem that i could find. hope this helps keirz
-
i sure did. the ones on the mr chu ones are flat and so fit nicely under the seat belt holders but the zep one has a rounded mounting point that doesnt fit flush with the plastic holders. i managed to fuck up both bolts and holes trying to force them on with the holders in place. lol
-
god damn it idress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i told you joz has the mr chu one!!!!!!!!!!!. the mounting points are different mate. have you got it now. different mounting points and again for good luck........ DIFFERENT MOUNTING POINTS. ;) ;) i have the zep brace mate. i have not attached the plastic holders but have ran the belt through the mounting points on the brace. i will get a pic if you dont get what i mean dude. just give me a shout.

thats what i thought enzo. i have read through and it looks like it can be fiddled with. lots of settings and also anti shake and blur. i think the olympus camara was close to £300 when it first came out so must be a decent bit of kit. ive seen it in black at jessops for £130 in a sale. so i may part with my cash. the only thing putting me off is that you cant change the lenses about.
-
ok gaz. all the camaras i have been hearing you and others using i would love to own but they are way out of price range and probably to hi tech for me. im just a begginer who wants a decent enough camara that i can play about with settings on and take clear photos. im sick of taking poor quality stuff on a 3mp cam, it doesnt do my shots any justice!!
-
i need help from the photography buffs out there. im gonna buy a new camara. im looking to spend about £150 on a decent one that i will be using mainly for car photo shoots. needs to be good in low light and extremly sharp images. i want something which is very easy to use but also one i can have a bit of a play with settings and stuff as i want to learn more about photography. i have seen these two camaras today and just wanted some opinions on them. any other suggestions on which cam to get which will suit my needs will be greatly appreciated. these camaras are available from a shop

cant really understand why it wouldnt work??? all you are doing is changing the place the sensor is bolted too. maybe i should get a pic to show where i bolted mine.
-
you dont actually need the longer hose. just un bolt the sensor it runs to from the fire wall and move it closer. there is another place just next to the mani on the fire wall that you can bolt the sensor too. it worked for me mate.

there is a jap show at thorsby hall on the 1st of july in ollerton nottinghamshire. i went last year and it was pretty cool so just wondered if any starlet folk would be attending. as far as im aware it is £12 and pay on the gate, its a saturday and sunday. camping over is also ok as far as im aware so it could be worth the travel (kinda an early JAE) bang your name down if your interested, keiran.
