little update. not sure if this will stay like it yet though. dont worry i have cleaned it all up inside and took the rest of the crap out. i like it, just need a rear strut and c piller bar.

update. make that 26p woo hoo, back of the net. its good for my car but very bad for my bedroom as its full of interier!

not as good a story as my title makes it sound....... today i took the day off work, i got a little bored so i decided to take my car to peices as you do. heres what i removed.... front passenger seat : 15kg parcel shelf with 6x9s : 7kg sub and box : 12kg rear seats : 15kg my wooded boot floor and amp : 8kg all rear plastic: 10kg (approx as it was difficult to weigh) thats a saving of 67.kg. my car before weighed 980kg before so assuming it was say 80bhp with the mods i have thats 83bhp per tonne. now its 913kg so thats approx 89bhp from my calculations. i just gained 6bhp per tonne and

Cam Belt Kits For 4efte EP82/EP91 £49.00 + £5.50 del would this be it? my cousin said to get the whole kit. not just the belts. so is this the right one for a 4efe as well? he said that this is unlikely to be the cause of the noise but he said for peice of mind he will change it me if i just buy the kit. its prob up for a change anyway so might as well. how many miles is it recomended to be changed? he couldnt find a problem. but he said that maybe there is a small gap in the inlet mani gasket that is forcing a little bit of air out, which makes a kinda clicking sound. so i

i know, i will get him back, dont know how or when but mark my words i will have revenge. i must have been really stupid to beleive that any one of my mates would be stupid enought to knock on my door at 9.00 on a sunday.

i was fast asleep and im not really very well so it was a cold heartless act.

my dad is on a level with me when it comes to wind up, pratting around and general stupid behaviour. he woke me up at about 9.00 and told me my mate was out side. so i jump out of bed quickly put on some clothes run downstairs. and then just as i undo the door, i heard him pissing him selve laughing. gutted.

im taking it tommorow to get checked over. how do i check for the speedo cable rattling. see i dont know if its due to me accelarating thats causing the noise, or the vibrations from accelarating. its kinda a strange one. i will get all checked out tommorow. seems to do it when i accelarate hard and speeds up as my revs get up. thats what makes me think belts.

thanks for the comments. yes im from notts, arnolds about 10 min from my house. i really want a good cam but i keep spending the money else where so never get around to it. this is the first kinda planed shoot i have done and im quite happy with a few of them but it got a bit dark so some were quite poor.

ok i have been just come across someone (not with a starlet) who had a similar clicking noise. it was the belt almost snapped. i tried to get the plastic cover off to see if this is the case with mine. but i didnt have the tools to get to one of the bolts. anyone had this problem or know how much it would be to replace if it is the belt which is under the plastic cam cover? getting worried as i dont want it to go snap if its this.

the image quality is poor as its only 2mp cam. i really enjoyed playing around with angles and locations and stuff so i may have to invest in a 6mp cam to really get some good shots. the 4th one down i feel is the pic of the bunch.

it does it more in lower gears really. i had a bit of a drive shaft problem which seemed to vanish but now i get this noise. but it doesnt sound like its coming from the driveshaft. im really pissed of with it.

i was considering d2s, but would prefer the teins. theres not much difference in price either and i assume tein is a better named quality brand. i really dont know which to go for as i have heard good reveiws on d2s. im getting a little indecisive now.

just recently my car seems to make a clicking noise on accelation. sounds like its coming from belts. it sounds like a stone in the tyre type noise but stops when i stop accelarating and its coming from just infront of me. i checked my oil today and it was low. (now filled) could this be a possible cause of a problem. it doesnt seem to do it when stationary and reving only when driving. any ideas?

thanks. i dont mind a bit of a rough ride. its just at the min i go over a speed bump and will still be bouncing half a mile down the road! and at high speed cornering it sways around alot. i have found a place near mine that do the laser allignment system so getting all that sorted shouldnt be too bad and fitting will be done by my cousin at hi-q. i just dont want to spend a hell of alot of money to be disapointed if you know what i mean, but they can always be sold on again. there isnt any other starlet owners near me really at all. and the couple who are dont have coilovers so cant rea
