  1. ok cool. i think i seen it used before but wasnt sure what it meant. and im always chilled
  2. please read what i wrote. i dont disbelieve you. im just saying i could time my 0-60 on a stopwatch start it 0.75 of a second to late and stop it 0.75 of a second early. that tiny, incy wincy bit of human error = 1.5 of a second. then you have speedo in accuracys and yet again human judgement for what you perceive to be 60mph from your view that you have of the needle. with all this took into consideration can you honestly say you dont doubt the low 9sec 0-60 time. the first post i made to you was a joke because the low nine seemed too low. and you said yourself that thinking back your stopwa
  3. any one on here use a sony cybershot camera. not sure of the specific make but its the digital one with 6mp. ive seen one cheapish but dont really want to buy if its not gonna be as good as i want. if any one has one will they post up a pic taken with it for me. p.s im shit when it comes to cameras. all i know is that the one i have now is poo!
  4. yeah i noticed a massive difference when i switched from my bsa to my rotas. i would love to strip mine out but i use the car to give people lifts to football and work and stuff so cant really. i may strip it out for the weekend to see if there is a nice difference though. =====edit======= ps i wont edit my posts to make it seem as though i was not being arsey. no names mentioned. peace out.
  5. wasnt really aimed at you dude. like i say it just seems to good a time and its done on a stop watch. thats all im saying im not trying to argue just mearly putting my opinion across because that time would only be about 1.5 sec of a glanzas time!
  6. ok im not into forum arguments over petty stuff as im not a child and i like to deal with things in real life and not bicker through a key board and a screen. i made a comment that a stop watch is inaccurate and you seem to have perceived that as me saying that you are not telling the truth about recording a low 9. i would love to be able to say my starlet runs that time but in all honestly i dont think it does. and as for the cars i mentioned im fuly aware that they are lugging around more weight but i have driven both the cars and they would piss all over an n/a. simple as that. its not li
  7. yes very true. but do you really think an n/a would beat either of those two car i mentioned to 60. or that an n/a could run a 9sec 0-60?
  8. the driver matters yes but also having 130bhp instead of 75bhp makes a difference too. are you telling me that a driver can make a car go faster than what its capable off? im not doubting that when you pressed stop at what you beleived was 60mph the stop watch it did say low nines. im just saying that for an n/a starlet to hit low nines is a major acheivement and althought i havent timed mine yet it seems unlikly that it would. and a stop watch is an unaccurate way of measuring as there is human error involved. and im not a shit driver before you start the "you cant drive it right to hit l
  9. i mean low 9s would be an incredable time. a stop watch is a very vague time anyway. my dads old 130bhp passats 0-60 was 9secs and that was a monster, also my mates 2ltr focus is 9secs and they would both piss on mine big style.
  10. think his may seem slower because the filter sucking in warm air and also the the full exhaust he has on may be causing problems with back pressure which may be causing there to be lower mani pressure and therefore less fuel being supplied ( im learning myself so what i said could be bollocks) also it depends on what life the engine has had (spark plugs, oil, cleaner fuel injectors, general wear and tear) yes the mani doesnt make a hugh difference but there is benifits there. seems to rev more freely at the top end of the scale. i feel its better any way but it would be nice to get it on the
  11. woo hoo sportifs rock. low 9s!!!!! think the stop clock may have been misused!!
  12. to be honest i dont like the enkies much. the speedlines look cool though. good work on them.
  13. ive never really timed my 0-60. i just do the a bollard test. standard but with heavy 16s on i hit 72mph and with light 15s, induction kit, jdm mani and exhaust i hit 82. in terms of time i cant help but the mods i mentioned helped me improve it. i would like to think its close to 10 secs.
  14. cool. i have had two sets of alloys now and have been driving for about 1.6 years and havent touched a kerb yet. im very careful. i think i would cry if i curbed these ones cuz i love em. spent hours picking bits of tarmac off them yesterday because they resurfaced my road. i felt like crying then.
  15. looks ok mate but i beg you no bad boy bonnets please! its not a corsa! well done on choosing a starlet. but try not to chav it up as stevie says or you will be struck down by the jdm gods
  16. ok i will make sure i keep mine polished up and free from coroding shit. i use wheel protection wax stuff to so should be ok. and il try my hardest not to bend them (im not planing on any extreme driving to bend them) so i should be cool. sorry for crashing the thread tommy but its relevent i guess.
  17. i think lowering will be cool next. got to say dude you have a mild case of ocd with the car cleaning! i thought i was bad! i will try and get a vid up of the sound of my car, as i have jdm mani, induction kit and backbox. so you will know how loud it will be!
  18. it gonna be a long journey mate but it will be worth it in the end. good luck with it.
  19. well they seem ok to me what is the problem with them then so i can look out for it?
  20. yeah i suppose i will get one at some point. i was looking for one as i have the cash at the minute (well after i add what ever i get for my car) so could pay for it straight out, but now im looking at spending about £800 on some goodies to keep me happy. im thinking, upgraded shocks, bmcs, E.T. damper, rear strut brace. (i want the 3 point one, but will have to drill holes to make it fit!) all of these parts will be easily transfered so instead of saving them in my bed room they will be saved on my n/a! what you reckon? i also want the c-piller bar, lower front bar, and the middl
  21. good point. everyone who says well you could die, i always reply: well if your gonna go it might as well be spectacular! and also you would prob pass out before you hit the deck anywho so you wouldnt feel it!
  22. i bet my little bro will be buzzing when i tell him because he wants my n/a but my dad said he cant have it untill he is 17. now that i have to wait till august he will be old enough to have it. which im happy about aswell because at least 'steve' the n/a starlet will be staying around! just gave it a massive clean and polish to make myself feel better. sky diving shoud be sweet! im doing it for charity. i got all the forms just got to book it now. and mj there is 4 parachutes. i will have the main shute and a reserve and the instructer on my back will have the same. so i would have to be ver
  23. neither does mine are you sure you have not brought a tarted up n/a the way is see it is that if it gets there very very fast then thats gotta be more fun than having a higher top speed. if my top speed was only 70 but it got there in 5 secs i would be happy as hell. but thats prob just me
  24. is the starlet n/a fwd drift king!
  25. my plans of buying a glanza for my birthday in april have just been pissed on. just got back to my current insurer abbey and bragg about switching the car on my current policy to a glanza and they dont recognize the car and are not willing to insure it due to it being an import. if i was to buy one they would have to cancel my policy and i wont get my ncb so i now have to wait untill august when my policy runs out and i cant even get any quotes on what my insurance will be like then from other insurers as its too far in the future for them to quote. so i may even get to august be 21 ha
