go to the scrappies and get that whole part of the loom off another starlet then just hard wire it in to the existing un burned wires. you dont need a diagram if the wires are colour coded. if you still have water anywere there still a chance of another short.

welding is a piece of piss. im assuming you would be mig welding. you can pick up new welder cheap and if you get sombody to show you how to set it up and practice some welds you would be up an running in no time. as BAZ2CRAZY said there is some knowledge regarding materials and weld types but its not rocket science.

ok heres the script. police have the guys details now so they can take it from there. aparently it was a woman who was driving when the incident occured so i have no idea if he has sold it on or gave it to them to drive but the worst part of all is that they got caught because she ran into the back of another car, after contacting the impound they told me that the car has no bumper and front end damage so im assuming its a fucking mess and if i want it ill need 270 to get it back today. BASTARDS!!!!

well to be honest if young drivers didnt buy crx's and jap imports everybodys premium would be lower. hope you get somthing sorted mate! next time you get a quote get a reference number to go with it. they cant change the price by any huge margin as long as all details were correct.

if you read my deleted post properly you would have seen that i said he could ask a relitive or friend with a decent insurance history under there belt to insure it and he as a named driver. if he realy wanted to drive the crx now!

most prices on compare sites are one off payments. when you contact the company to purchase it they tell you that and then it goes up considerably when changing to monthly installments. might i add that theres nothing wrong with being a named driver especialy only for 6 months if your worried about NCB. admiral were the cheapest i could find on imports. cheaper than AFlux

to be honest i dont think the guy gives a shit because he never came to get the log book. ill make more enquiries tomorrow because i still need to sort out the police side of things. if i claim to be the owner they could charge me with letting him drive unlicensed and uninsured. no i went to view it without the mot slip and stuff so he followed me home to get it then swapped at mines.

As some of you know i swapped my starlet for an fto. The guy i swapped it with has been caught driving it with no licence/insurance. At the time of the swap i did not have the V5 in my possesion as i was waiting on it so when the incident happened i was still the registered keeper. the car is now impounded and several attemps to contact the guy i swaped with has failed. Does anybody know if i can claim the car if it sits in the inpound after the 14 days unclaimed. i still have the v5 and valid insurance. cheers dont want to let the car get destroyed as i regret swapping it in the first place
