heat the damaged area with a hairdryer until its very hot to touch then using a can of light gas with the biggest attachment on it just spray it on the centre of the dent until it cools rapidly and turns white then leave for a second and hopefully it pops out. works somtimes due to expansion and sudden contraction.
-
have you tried the hairdryer and lighter gas trick to get some dinks out?
-
most of the work would be to fabricate it to fit somwere in the front of the car. usualy the price is due to the price of stainless steel but in this case it would be the labour i rekon. phone a local stainless steel exhaust fabricator.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Glanza-S-cam-...id=p3286.c0.m14 do they have more lift than the standard ones?
-
is there a specific one?
-
standard. ill prob need to port match it some how. not sure if the corolla intake mani will bolt up to the 7afe TB. ive not even looked into it. would it? i dont think this will make any more difference unless the corolla mani tubes are larger thus alowin more air to enter the cylinders. does anybody know if the turbo cams would offer any advantage with the extra air due to the longer valve lift duration?

im planning to get the throttle body then from there order the correct size silicone and aluminium tubing to make a tidy custom intake around the engine and down to the gap between the coolant bottle and the rad. wrapping the manifold and using reflective tape on the exposed part of the intake over the manifold. then book my car in to get the badly blown peeshooter exhaust off and a full decat stainless. although this will have to wait as the missus is due and dont want to take the car off the road lol. the only other thing ive done is 40mm drop, mr2 spyder alloys, clear indicators, fli compon

7afe throttle body will arrive tomorrow. ill let you know how it goes.

what about replacements? not many components going around that are that small but powerfull enough. any ideas as im wanting mine changed.

EP91 N/A. not got central locking and its a pain in the ass. i was lookin as those universal central locking kits but i rekon that stress me out gettin it to work more than leaning over everytime i want to let sombody in.
-
i wish i had central locking lol!
-
ah thats a better idea. that will look cleaner. by the way i hope i didnt make it look as though you left the mole grips on lol! . let me know if you can notice a temp difference.

i was planning on building a custom intake that went down and round the front of the engine and over the manifold and down to the gap between the radiator and the coolant bottle. would it be wise to use that reflective wrap to avoid heating the intake air?
-
no just remove the two coolant lines running to the TB and connect them together with a tube of some sort. you might want to clamp the coolant lines with some mole grips so they dont leak. to tidy things up you can connect the two exposed lines from the throttle body with a piece of hose. simples
-
told my mate and he done it on his civic as they have the coolant lines running right through the front of the TB. and it realy was cooler. he joined the tubes together with a scrap bit of aluminium tube. cooler is better so ill be doin the same tomorrow.
-
try it. it only takes 5 min to do. see how cold your throttle body is after a hard drive compared to what is was like before.
-
i wouldnt say it was useless as ANY heat taken AWAY from the intake is good! useless if you stay in a country were it freezes realy bad.
-
I came across this today on the net and done a little more searching and it turns out that this actualy works. im refereing to the coolant bypass on the throttle body for anybody who is unfamiliar with it. has anybody done this in there starlet?

ive seen a corsa plitter on an N/A EP91
-
you think that would fit an n/a? looks as thought it would as the outer contour is the same at the sides.
-
ive sent that aiden guy a message but no reply. i was wondering if a lip from a pre facelift glanza would fit. mind i have a n/a. ive seen one on ebay. ill post a pic up.
-
def matt black. use wrinkle paint and stick it on the oven. gives it a more original new look.
-
prob more harm than good because it leaves the filter in the engine bay were its getting nothing but hot air. you could get an intercooler kit minus the IC and use that to route it round and down the gap under the radiator bottle and out behind the bumper.
