  10. autosol is what i use to polish all my metal (braces, FMIC, exhaust) Phil.
  11. i can't imagine the S discs being any different to V discs mate, altho i could be wrong. most likely, the S is not specified by websites sellin discs as they are so rare, with the Vs being much more common. As for the caliper, it appears to depend on the year of the N/a as to what calipers it had. 1998-99 N/a models came with the same calipers as the Glanzas, before that the calipers were slightly smaller. I, for example, am running GT 3G grooved discs on my car with GT carriers and my stock calipers (mine's a 1998 so same calipers as Glanza V) Phil.
  12. sounds good Jay man. 4years indeed, Uniroyals make for economic ownership! Phil.
  13. because they are hard as nails mate! seriously, i've simply had no cause to replace them, they have handled every weather condition thats been thrown at them, guess they are just past their best now lol! Phil.
  14. Picture Update Ok, first up, how i have neatly mounted the SSBC and hidden its black box! excuse the dirt on the pedal and mat! Santa very kindly bought me a Whiteline Antilift kit from Nath, and I have also received a Sard magnetic sump plug from Nath too! And I found this neat little pressie stashed in my car when I collected her from Jay's, its an OEM tool kit! score! Phil.
  15. wrong section. moved. Phil.
  16. yeah my bro got some of the new Rainsport 2s and says they are great! with the weather in NI being permanent w*nk, i have always just opted for decent rain tyres all year round, even the summer, its just too wet most of the time for decetn dry weather tires tbh. Rainsport 2s it will be whenever i can get around to it! Phil.
  17. cheers brosephski! not a bad option there Lew mate! Phil.
  18. Uniroyal Rainsports mate. the roads are fairly shocking to be fair, and the tires are probably due for replacement anyway, but i was assuming that tread meant grip, silly me lol. they may well be like 4 years old, but they seem in good nick, ah well, simple fix nonetheless. Phil.
  19. thanks for the kind words and support as always lads, very much appreciated. ok, back from the mechanics. firstly, the odd knocking noise - at first he was very puzzled, but he sus'd it out in about 2 minutes, turns out the bolts on the lower ball joint (correct terminology?? end of wishbone, behind brakes) on the drivers side were very very loose, so that was an easy fix! result. secondly - suspension. we knew it was snapped, so all i wanted was for him to check that it wasn't in danger of bursting the tire, which it isn't. he has also cable tied it up, whether that makes any difference or
  20. haha awesome, I've saved that for future reference! Phil.
  21. loosing the faith would take alot considering what she went through only a yr and a half ago tbh. i've just had a decent chat with Mark, my bro, and we've discussed a probable approach for further developments once this suspension and slipping nonsense is 100% settled, and basically it involves spending alot less, easing off the wallet a bit, only making small, select purchases for some time, and basically learning to enjoy the car as it is (or more accurately, how it will be once its sorted and Jay has turned the boost up to 0.85/0.9bar). i explained it to Mark as...you guys on here see her
