It's not pretty thats for sure! Just shows how even very experienced/professional drivers can lose it! One for all the budding street racers out there to take note of how easily it can all go horribly wrong!

Easy mate, drain the rad, take the rad hose off that comes out of the block, then undo the 2 nuts holding the stat in (might need some wd40) think it's a 10mm or 8mm spanner.pop the old stat out,new one in then reverse to put it back in.Dont over tighten the nuts tho they shear easily.

I know,just messin

The bottom panel is designed to move in a front end smash,so that may well have moved slightly.

Deffo the stat mate,it'll only take 10 mins to change it. Just need the standard thermostat unless you're gonna be using the car for a lot of track work.

Gas aint no BBQ FOOL! I'll sort out a proper BBQ so we just need charcoal, much safer too than damned gas. A fridge is a must for chilled beers etc.

5w 40 will be too thin.will probably smoke as the oil will pass the rings.10w40 will be more suited.

I use tesco 99 probably 95% of the time as i get clubcard points Theres a BP station 2 mins down the road from me but i prefer tesco's stuff because it gets replenished sooner and so is fresher fuel.
